Hijack: Becoming The Strongest Hunter By Stealing Skills.

As Rin reflected on life after losing his father, he grappled with the harsh reality of now being an orphan.

The comforting words of those around him felt hollow, only serving to intensify his grief. Their condolences seemed to amplify the fact that his father was truly gone.

As the sun began to set on the horizon, the crowd that had gathered at the crematorium to pay their last respects to Rin's father started to disperse. That was when Rin realized something stark: he was alone.

The people who had come weren't there for him; they were there for his father. This revelation hit hard, making him understand that his future and well-being depended entirely on his own efforts.

If he couldn't make a name for himself, he would remain insignificant in their eyes.

Lost in thought, Rin was startled when Hayes approached him and said,

"What's up with you, Rin? Will you stand here, wasting your time cherishing the memories of the dead, letting people think you're just waiting to squander your father's wealth? Or will you honor your father's last wish, make a name for yourself, and silence their assumptions with your success?"

Hayes's words jolted Rin from his spiral of despair. For the first time that day, someone had told him the truth. Consolations only made him feel weak, but Hayes's bluntness sparked something inside him.

Resolute, Rin walked to his father's urn with tears in his eyes and said,

"Father, I won't fail to fulfill your dreams. I promise to spread your ashes only after I've achieved what you wished for me. If I can't, I'd rather die trying."

A brief smile crossed Hayes's face as he thought, He's just like his father. Determined and unyielding. The only thing standing between him and his dreams is his effort, and I'll do everything I can to support him.

After Rin finished his vow, Hayes called him to complete the remaining formalities. Once everything was settled, Hayes handed Rin the urn containing his father's ashes. They walked to Hayes's car, where Rin waited as Hayes dealt with questions from the media.

"Sorry about that," Hayes said, getting into the driver's seat. "I didn't think the media would find us here—it's supposed to be a private area."

On the way to Hayes's house, Rin broke the silence.

"What kind of person would you say my father was?"

Hayes smiled faintly. "He was the best mentor anyone could ask for. He saved my family during a beast attack when he was just a cadet, not even a licensed hunter.

At a time when we thought no one would come, he did. That's when I started looking up to him. He's the reason I became a hunter. And he didn't do it for fame or rewards; he did it out of passion."

Rin's face clouded with regret. "He was such a great man, and I never appreciated him enough. I always thought he didn't care about me because he was so busy. I even fought with him over it, especially during special occasions."

"Everyone goes through that," Hayes replied. "The sad truth is, we don't truly value someone's efforts until they're gone. By the way, what magical ability or skill do you have to qualify for the Hunter Academy?"

"Magical ability? Skill? I don't know what you mean," Rin said, confused. "And what does that have to do with the Hunter Academy?"

Hayes explained, "Every hunter has a unique gift. Your father was an S-rank magical beast hunter because of his skill: weapon mastery. It allowed him to wield any weapon effortlessly. I'm an S-rank ruin master because of my search skill. These abilities are what define a hunter's role. They're identified using a status ring, which reveals a person's skills and potential."

"But I've never used one of those rings before," Rin said. "Can you get one for me?"

"The one I have is tied to the Hunter Association," Hayes replied. "If you use it, it would overwrite my data and trigger a security alarm at headquarters. But I'll get you a status ring when we get home."

"Thank you for everything," Rin said sincerely. "I really appreciate you being here for me."

"There's no need to thank me," Hayes replied. "Your father would've done even more if our roles were reversed. I owe him that much."

After a few minutes, they arrived at Hayes's house. Rin was awestruck. The mansion was an architectural marvel—massive, majestic, and exuding luxury. From the cars to the furnishings, everything screamed wealth and sophistication.

As they stepped inside, Rin's eyes widened in surprise at what he saw.

The person who Hayes regarded as his butler and caretaker of the house was a woman and seemed to be a person straight out of a maid cafe with her having a body and man would crave for with everything in perfect ratio to one another.

She had long and curly hair that falls that falls down her back like a waterfall with a pair of sparkling brown eyes like a chocolate drops and with a petite body with a gentle smile.

"Welcome Master Hayes," the female butler said with a warm tone.

"This is Min-Ju the butlar you can ask her if you need anything in the house,"Hayes said

You must be Master Rin nice to meet you may I take your baggage and show you to your room, Min-Ju asked.

Please don't call me Master you seem to be older than me,Rin said sincerely. Rin will just be fine the master makes me feel uncomfortable a little bit.

Go take a shower and come downstairs after to have your dinner, Hayes said.And I can get you a status ring after.

After this Rin went upstairs went and took a shower with a thought that something must be going on between Hayes-sama and Min-Ju after his bath he changed into new clothes and went downstairs to take his

dinner.

" Wow this food taste amazing," you are such a good cook Min-Ju Rin said appreciating Min-Ju cooking.

"Finally someone to appreciate my cooking skills Min-Ju said Master Hayes always makes a single face for everything,".So I don't know wether he enjoys or doesn't enjoy the food.

After sometime after having dinner Hayes asks Min-Ju to get him a status ring from his room to find out the ability of Rin. Without any hesitation Min-Ju gets the ring.

"This is the status ring you asked for,"Hayes said handing over the ring to Rin.

Okay and this is suppose to show my stats right Rin said as he puts the ring into one of his fingers and an holographic screen showed up revealing his skills.

At the moment the pop up showed up as they saw his stats it left all of them in total disbelief.
