Chapter 93: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 61.5
At this point, Hagrid finally started to worry. He knew Wayne had a kind of magical charisma with animals; his own hunting dog, Yaya, would forget about him entirely every time Wayne showed up, chasing after him with a wagging tail.
Imagining Wayne petting his dog while Louie looked so content and indifferent toward him made Hagrid whimper.
"No!"
In the end, he agreed to Wayne's request and planted the Venomous Tentacula at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. If it were planted in the vegetable patch, once the Venomous Tentacula grew, it would probably devour all the other vegetables—those steel-like teeth were definitely not just for show.
Fortunately, Hagrid had a small plot of farmland within the Forbidden Forest, where he could plant a dozen or so seeds without issue. After burying the seeds, Hagrid wiped the sweat off his forehead.
"I still don't understand why you want to grow this thing; it doesn't taste good at all."
Wayne looked at the freshly turned fertile soil and nodded in satisfaction. The season wasn't quite right, but it didn't matter; the wizarding world prioritizes magic over science.
With the right potion, those Venomous Tentacula seeds could mature by February or March next year.
Listening to Hagrid's confusion, Wayne replied while looking forward, "I'm a Hufflepuff, and I enjoy planting things."
In the following days, Wayne brewed many growth-accelerating potions and spent his afternoons secretly tending to his plants in the Forbidden Forest.
Regarding Wayne's trespassing in the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid turned a blind eye. They had now become partners in crime.
Wayne also asked Hagrid if he could get some fertilizing dung from the Mooncalf; Hagrid agreed to this as well. There was indeed a group of Mooncalves in the Forbidden Forest, so collecting their dung was no challenge for him.
Before long, Friday arrived.
Chirruping the classroom bell, Ciro walked in. No students sat in the front three rows, as everyone was unable to tolerate the garlic smell emanating from him.
Ciro, however, took no notice and quietly opened his textbook. With a stuttering voice, he said, "To… today… we'll study… today… we'll study the… classification… of spells."
"Spells can be… spells, curses, hexes, and jinxes, as well as poison jinxes…"
