Chapter 97: Hogwarts, Please Graduate Soon, Ch 62.4
No one wanted Wayne to be expelled, but they didn't know how to stop him. Cedric clenched his teeth and said, "I'll go write a report too!"
"Only one of us is not enough; the headmaster will be furious."
"I often help him bear some of the anger."
Head.
The tradition of Hufflepuff is unity.
Upon hearing Cedric's plan, everyone started nodding in agreement.
Susan Bones shouted, "Count me in! My aunt works at the Ministry of Magic; I can speak to her!"
"Count me in too!"
"And me!"
Almost everyone began to respond, pulling out parchment and quills to write complaint letters.
Wayne, eavesdropping from the doorway, revealed a knowing smile.
The next morning, all the kids were waiting for Wayne to appear in the common room.
Finally, Wayne emerged from the dormitory, surrounded by his two roommates.
Everyone held freshly sealed letters in their hands.
The common room erupted with tremendous cheers, and then they all rushed out of the common room.
Instead of heading to their favorite dining hall, they made their way directly upstairs.
A hundred little wizards formed a small torrent, leaving the other house students stunned, not understanding what was happening.
Harry, just coming downstairs, also encountered Wayne and the others.
Ron shivered.
"Why do I feel a sense of foreboding?"
Harry ignored Ron's comment and asked in confusion, "What are we doing?"
"Look at this letter… are we going to the eighth floor?"
"What's on the eighth floor?" Ron asked.
After thinking for a moment, Harry finally took out the Map and confirmed, "The Headmaster's office!"
"Is this it, Wayne?"
"How do we deliver the letter to the Headmaster?"
When they reached the eighth floor, everyone suddenly grew anxious. The previously bold atmosphere shifted to one of caution. They walked as quietly as if they were on a night stroll.
Wayne shook his head.
"No need; the Headmaster's office has its own mailbox. Just drop it in."
Hearing this, the Badgers finally relaxed.
At the entrance to the Headmaster's office, the familiar water gargoyle awaited them.
Perhaps sensing Wayne's arrival, the previously sleeping water gargoyle suddenly woke up.
"Hey? It's you, kid. Why are you here so early? Dumbledore probably hasn't even woken up yet."
"Thank goodness the password has changed; it's 'Lemon Drops.' Hurry up and tell me so I can let you in." The little wizards behind him stared in astonishment.
This guard is indeed… very diligent.
As if afraid Wayne would forget the password, he even reminded them.
At that moment, the water gargoyle noticed that there were so many people following him and curiously asked, "What are they here for? I can only let you in; the rest can't come in."
"No need," Wayne waved his hand. "I'm not here to see the Headmaster; I wrote him a letter."
"Ah, I see." The water gargoyle opened its mouth. "Then you can go ahead and drop it in; I'll remind him if he comes in through the main entrance."
Without hesitation, Wayne directly placed the letter into the gargoyle's mouth.
"Is this the mailbox?" Cedric whispered to Wayne as he tugged at the corner of his robes.
"Yes, you guys can put your letters in too. After that, we'll go eat."
