Chapter 536: Chapter 536: The mutual trap between me and Dumbledore
Dumbledore gave Andy another meaningful look, which left Andy feeling quite confused.
What do you want?
Andy scratched his head.
"Yes!"
Dumbledore nodded slowly and said with a faint smile, "Just twenty minutes ago, I received a letter from the Ministry of Magic."
Andy looked at Dumbledore and waited patiently for the rest of the story.
"…"
Five seconds passed...
Andy: "???"
Then what?
Go on, say something!
Do you know that if you keep only saying part of a story, you'll eventually get into trouble?
Dumbledore didn't seem to want to talk about this topic, and he changed the subject, turning to Harry and asking, "Harry, what did you see? Can you tell us about it again, from the beginning?"
"Including all the details."
"Er…yes, Professor," Harry replied.
Andy raised an eyebrow.
Dumbledore had said, 'Tell us again,' not 'Tell us.' So that meant that Harry had already told the story once before Andy and the others arrived.
And Harry's reaction confirmed it.
"Huh..."
Andy let out a cold breath, suddenly not wanting to hear any more.
When you consider the way Dumbledore was looking at him... Andy suddenly felt that he might really have walked right into the lion's den this time.
"I was in class when I suddenly felt a sharp pain in the scar on my forehead..."
Harry recounted slowly as he remembered, "I saw him... Voldemort! He was with several Death Eaters and suddenly appeared on an island..."
Dumbledore then asked, "Harry, from what perspective did you see all this? Voldemort's perspective? Or someone else's?"
"Er..."
Harry was at a loss for words and then said with a strange look on his face, "I felt like I was lying on the ground... Professor, I have no idea w-what it was."
Andy glanced at Dumbledore, who happened to be looking at Andy.
It was a Horcrux!
It had a perspective, which meant it was a living Horcrux.
Lying on the ground...when you consider the symbol of Slytherin, it's not hard to guess what the Horcrux might be.
It could only be a snake!
"Harry, continue," said Dumbledore.
"Yes!"
Harry nodded and continued, "They forced their way into Azkaban and killed everyone they saw. The Aurors fought back, but he was too strong, and they were no match for him."
"I wanted to look more closely, but the scar hurt too much. I felt like I was going to black out, and I lost consciousness."
The story ended there.
Dumbledore nodded slowly, smiling kindly, "Harry, you get some rest. I have to go to the Ministry of Magic; there are a lot of loose ends to tie up."
"Professor..." Harry called out, a little unwillingly.
But under Dumbledore's stern gaze, Harry could only smile sheepishly and obediently lie back on the bed.
Andy silently retreated behind the others and secretly tugged at Hermione's sleeve. Seeing Hermione turn around, Andy raised an eyebrow and gave the young witch a 'hurry up' look.
It was necessary to sneak away.
Dumbledore obviously didn't intend to leave him in peace.
"Collins... you're still as sharp as ever."
Dumbledore suddenly called out to Andy and said with a smile, "I think there is some news that you will be very interested in."
At this, Dumbledore winked at Hermione, "Miss Granger, I need to talk to Mr Collins for a moment. Could you lend him to me for five minutes?"
Andy turned to look at Hermione: Wife, save me!
"Of course, Professor," Hermione said with a smile.
Andy: "…"
"Mr Collins…?" Dumbledore gestured.
Shrugging, Andy followed Dumbledore out of the school hospital wing as if nothing had happened.
In the corridor, Dumbledore glanced at Andy sideways and said with an inexplicable tone, "The Ministry's letter mentioned some very important news."
Andy was silent.
Dumbledore didn't care and continued, "After the defeat of the Aurors, there was another masked person in Azkaban. He held off Voldemort and bought the Aurors time to retreat."
Upon hearing this, Andy's eyes lit up.
"Only one person?" Andy asked.
"Yes!" Dumbledore nodded affirmatively.
Andy let out a sigh of relief. "That definitely wasn't me!"
Dumbledore: "..."
Andy said casually, "I'm not the kind of person who will risk his life for others. I won't fight Voldemort until I'm absolutely certain."
"That's true!"
"According to my original plan, I will challenge you next school year to gauge my strength."
"If I think I'm good enough... then I'll fight Voldemort!"
Dumbledore: "..."
Andy's words were easy to understand.
He not only wanted to fight Voldemort, but he also wanted to fight Dumbledore.
Dumbledore felt that Andy was really getting overconfident.
He was getting quite arrogant!
But Andy's words did have a certain amount of truth to them.
He wouldn't risk his life for a stranger!
Dumbledore also acknowledged this.
So... who was the masked man who appeared in Azkaban?
There were not many people in the wizarding world who could hold their own against Voldemort.
Dumbledore thought about it and could only think of Andy.
As for the others... even Snape was nowhere near Voldemort's level.
But Andy was also right.
The actions of that person did not match Andy's character.
"That person might be you, Professor."
Andy suddenly said, "To fight Voldemort to save someone's life... that's something you would do."
Because Andy could also only think of Dumbledore.
If you look at the world as a whole, there are probably still some wizards who can fight Voldemort—after all, the wizarding world is full of untapped treasures. No one knows if there aren't terrifyingly powerful people living in some corner somewhere.
But in the British wizarding world, there aren't many wizards who can fight Voldemort.
Dumbledore only thought of Andy.
And Andy could only think of Dumbledore.
"I don't think it was me..."
Dumbledore said indifferently, "Voldemort is not my match yet."
Andy: 'Cool'
Dumbledore felt that if he had personally intervened, Voldemort would have been the one to retreat.
And Dumbledore would never wear a mask and act like a mysterious wizard.
"Who do you think it was?" Dumbledore asked.
Andy glanced at Dumbledore, and suddenly a flash of inspiration struck him.
"Professor..."
Andy took out the Time Turner.
"Maybe we can go and have a look together."
Andy hinted, "With you by my side, it might inspire courage in me."
Dumbledore: "..."
You are truly unique when it comes to being a coward.
"Of course!"
Dumbledore laughed, "I'd be honoured... to give you courage, Mr Collins."
After all, there were so many lives at stake that Dumbledore could not just stand by and do nothing.
And history was already set!
If they really are the ones who are responsible, then he and Andy must go back in time to make up for this part of history.
