Chapter 600: Chapter 600: Meeting of the Order of the Phoenix
The taxi slowly pulled up to a stop on a street in front of Grimmauld Place.
"This is the place... Hop out, Harry!"
After paying the fare, Sirius got out of the taxi with Harry.
"This is..." Harry looked at the familiar street in front of him, his face twisting with a mixture of confusion and a sense of déjà vu.
He had been here before.
This was Sirius's home.
But he had forgotten where Sirius's home was!
"Look at this!"
Sirius gave a mysterious smile, pulled a note out of his pocket, and handed it to Harry.
Harry opened the note with a puzzled look.
The note read: 12 Grimmauld Place.
When Harry looked up, he noticed that between 11 and 13, there was an additional house—the ancestral house of the Black family, 12 Grimmauld Place.
Harry instantly realised that this place was protected by magic.
"This is the Fidelius Charm."
Sirius explained as he walked towards the house. "In addition to this, there are also the Muggle Repelling Charm, the Unplottable Charm, and many other protective charms placed here."
"That's why I offered it up as a temporary headquarters of the Order against the Dark Lord."
It had been twenty days since the holidays.
After spending some time at his aunt's house, Harry was picked up by Sirius, who couldn't wait to see him again.
Harry's birthday was at the end of July.
In August, he planned to take Harry to the Quidditch World Cup final.
They had a lot planned, and time was running out, so there was no time to waste on the Dursleys.
Opening the door...
"Hi, Harry!"
Seeing his best friend, Ron immediately rushed up to Harry and gave him a big hug.
"Hey, Ron!" Harry hugged Ron in return.
"Is Harry here?" Ginny hurried to the stairs, had a quick look at Harry, her face turning red, and then she hurried back to her room.
Ron shrugged helplessly.
Soon, Harry greeted everyone here.
Sirius, the Weasley family, Professor Lupin, and the Auror Tonks, who Harry had met briefly, as well as a short wizard named Mundungus Fletcher.
Not only that, but Harry also noticed that there were some people in the innermost room on the ground floor, but they did not come out.
"Er... didn't Andy come?" After looking around, Harry asked curiously.
In Harry's opinion, since this was a temporary headquarters established to fight Voldemort, then Andy should be there too.
He will be the main force in the fight against Voldemort!
Tonks asked with a hint of annoyance, "Speaking of which, where the hell has that kid gone? I haven't heard from him for days."
"We don't know either."
Lupin said with his hands spread out. "He only keeps in touch with Professor Dumbledore."
"And Dumbledore?" Tonks asked again.
Lupin continued to spread his hands.
No one knew where Dumbledore was!
"Okay, kids——"
Molly Weasley said in a drawn-out voice, "You go upstairs and rest for a while. When it's time to eat, I'll come up and get you."
Ron gave Harry a wry smile in response, "Let's go!"
On the way upstairs, Harry noticed that Sirius and the others had gone into the innermost room on the ground floor.
When the door opened, the sight inside caught Harry's eye for a split second.
Harry saw a figure in a long black robe.
It was Severus Snape!
"Why is he here?" Harry looked incredulous.
"You mean Snape?" Ron looked equally surprised.
When he saw Snape, he almost thought this place had been exposed.
Back in the room, Harry and Ron briefly talked about what had happened after the holidays.
Ron had stayed inside the whole time, and his mum wouldn't let him go anywhere.
Harry had also stayed inside the whole time, and his aunt and uncle wouldn't let him go out either.
"..." The two best friends looked at each other and sighed at the same time.
There's really nothing to look forward to this summer!
"Harry, the Quidditch World Cup has been confirmed, and it will be held in our country!"
Ron didn't sound very excited when he mentioned this and added, "But the adults may not take us to watch it."
Harry asked curiously, "What's the situation like outside right now? I was staying at my aunt's house before, and I couldn't get any news from the wizarding world at all."
"It's probably not good..."
Just as Ron had started to speak, George and Fred walked in.
"Do you want to hear what they are discussing?" They looked at them mysteriously and pointed downstairs.
"Do you have a good idea?" Ron asked.
"Of course!" George nodded proudly.
"This is our greatest invention," Fred said with a proud look on his face.
Soon, the four of them were at the top of the stairs, and one of them slid an Extendable Ear down the stairs.
One ear was close to the meeting room, and soon the sound of an argument was heard in the other ear.
"We can't be sure where You-Know-Who will attack; it could be either place, but we don't have enough people to guard both places."
That was Sirius' voice.
"Of course, it won't be enough if we rely on just you lot."
Harry could tell it was Snape's voice, and there was a hint of mockery laced in his tone.
"Severus, what news you got from your end?"
"None! The Dark Lord won't tell us anything until the operation is about to start. In fact, it's not the actions of the Death Eaters that matter; it's where the Dark Lord wants to attack."
"Does anyone know what Dumbledore's been up to lately?"
"Dumbledore has been acting very secretly. No one knows where he is right now!"
"In the end, we still have to guard two places."
"Well, we can only guard one place. The World Cup venue is important for the international image, and there are still a lot of spectators there."
"What about the Ministry of Magic? Should we give up?"
"We can let everyone else take a holiday and leave an empty shell for the Death Eaters. As long as there is no one in the Ministry of Magic, I don't think the Death Eaters will target it."
"No! The Ministry has a lot of vital information and facilities. If we let the Dark Lord get those, we'll be in even more trouble."
"…"
The meeting room resounded with endless arguments. No one could convince the others, and no one could come up with a reliable suggestion.
After listening for a while, Harry had a general idea of what everyone was arguing about.
They thought that during the World Cup, Voldemort might launch an attack.
And there were two possible locations for the attack.
One was the World Cup venue, and the other was the Ministry of Magic, which would be poorly guarded.
However, they had limited manpower and could not guard both places.
After listening for a while, Harry turned to the Weasley brothers and asked, "Have any of you written to Andy?"
