Hinata's Unexpected Presence

"Hinata?" Haruno Sakura turned, surprised to see her. "Why are you here too?"

Hinata shyly lowered her gaze, fidgeting nervously. "I… I heard you were looking for Naruto-kun. I thought I could help."

With that, the trio set out in search of Naruto. They checked his home but found it empty. Finally, Hinata activated her Byakugan and located him in the Forest of Death.

---

Naruto's Solitude

The three girls arrived at the Forest of Death, quickly spotting Naruto. His training had transformed the area into a desolate expanse, with vast sections of the forest replaced by barren land.

Naruto, noticing their approach, sighed internally. Something was definitely up. As Hinata's soft hand slipped into his, he asked, "What's going on? Even Hinata's helping you, Sakura-chan. What happened?"

Haruno Sakura wasted no time, launching into a heated retelling of recent events. Naruto's frown deepened as he listened.

---

The Machinations of Two Shadows

Naruto silently cursed the two Kage-level manipulators. Sarutobi Hiruzen had exposed his identity to guilt-trip the villagers and solidify his bond with Konoha. Meanwhile, Rasa's sudden engagement ploy masked the Sand's intentions and secured an alliance.

Naruto couldn't help but admire their cunning, even as it made him the pawn in their game.

---

Sakura's Concerns

"Now what?" Haruno Sakura asked, her brows furrowed with worry.

Naruto sighed, his voice calm yet firm. "We're Genin now, Sakura-chan. I think it's time I left Konoha."

"What?" Sakura's eyes widened in shock. "You're leaving?"

Naruto nodded. "It's the best option for me. I've always been fine on my own, and I don't think I can adapt to how the villagers are suddenly treating me now that my identity is out."

Sakura bit her lip, wanting to argue but sensing Naruto's resolve. Still, she couldn't hold back. "Then I'll go with you!"

Naruto placed a hand on her shoulder, shaking his head. "No, Sakura-chan. You need to stay. You have potential here in Konoha. It's where you'll grow the most."

---

A Mysterious Lesson

Sakura's frown deepened. "But why? What can I gain here that I can't elsewhere?"

Naruto's expression turned thoughtful. "Listen, Sakura-chan. There's someone you'll meet here—a powerful kunoichi. You need to become her disciple."

"Disciple?" Sakura asked, confused.

Naruto smirked. "She's got… a unique presence, let's say. But if you can earn her respect, she'll help you become stronger—strong enough to surpass anyone."

Though still uncertain, Sakura nodded. "Fine. I'll stay and train. But you'd better not forget us while you're gone!"

"I won't," Naruto said with a soft smile.

---

Naruto's Resolve

After sending the trio away, Naruto returned to his training. Trees began sprouting in his immediate vicinity—his Wood Release showing promise, though far from the legendary power of the First Hokage.

As night fell, Naruto decided to leave the forest, thinking of grabbing dinner before resting. But upon stepping out, he found himself swarmed by villagers.

---

Unwelcome Attention

"Little Naruto, forgive us for how we treated you before!"

"We were misled! We've always admired you!"

"Come to my house! My wife makes the best food, and my daughter would love to meet you!"

Naruto forced a smile, gently trying to decline their offers. "Thank you, but I just want to eat and rest. Please, let me through."

Despite his politeness, the crowd only grew more insistent, each villager vying for his attention.

Naruto's patience was wearing thin. He silently revised his plan to leave Konoha sooner than he had initially intended.

---

An Unlikely Rescuer

Just as the crowd's persistence threatened to overwhelm him, a commanding voice cut through the noise. "Move aside! Anyone still here after three seconds will regret it!"

The villagers turned, irritated, only to see Temari, her iron fan ready for action. Before they could protest, she unleashed a burst of wind.

"Wind Style: Flurry of Air!"

A powerful gust sent the villagers staggering. Though harmless, it was enough to scatter them.

"Run! She's serious!"

"That ninja's crazy! Let's get out of here!"

Within moments, the area cleared. Temari closed her fan with a metallic clang, smirking at the retreating villagers.

---

A Lesson in Restraint

Naruto turned to Temari, his expression unreadable. "You didn't have to do that."

Temari raised an eyebrow. "You're strong enough to deal with them yourself. Why didn't you?"

Naruto hesitated before answering simply, "I'm afraid of killing people."

Temari blinked, momentarily stunned by his candidness. Then she laughed softly. "You're an odd one, Naruto Uzumaki. But I like that about you."

Naruto scratched the back of his head, his cheeks slightly red. "Thanks, I guess."

Temari's expression turned serious. "If you ever need help with any of these idiots, just let me know. That's what allies are for."

Naruto nodded, a small smile on his face. "I'll keep that in mind."

As Temari walked away, Naruto stood in the quiet street, his resolve to leave Konoha burning brighter than ever.

---

The Shadow of the Future

Naruto knew the road ahead would be uncertain, but he welcomed it. For now, he would train, grow stronger, and bide his time.

And when the moment came, he would face the shadows that sought to control his life—on his own terms.
