Hokage:Overturning Ninja world

Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Is That Thing Harder Than Diamond?

"Planetary Devastation."

Logan was launched into the sky again, this time not alone.

For several kilometers, buildings collapsed, the ground split open, and rivers flowed backward. At the center of it all, Logan seemed to become a black hole, sucking in everything non-living with an overwhelming gravitational pull.

But it wasn't over.

Obito spread his arms wide.

Behind him, space twisted and warped. From the swirling vortex emerged thousands of shuriken, kunai, and explosive tags, all drawn toward Logan by the gravity well.

Obito watched Logan wrapped in layers of explosive tags. In that moment, he understood Deidara's obsession with art—especially the kind that ended in an explosion. The craving surged through him.

Detonate.

Detonate!

Detonate them all!

Boom—boom—boom—!

A chain of violent explosions lit up the sky, swallowing Logan. Moments later, debris rained down, burying him beneath tons of rubble.

Elsewhere, under the onslaught of Aerosmith's missiles, Shurado's mechanical body was already torn apart.

With only a single left hand remaining, it raised the limb and launched its fist, flames trailing behind it as it rocketed toward Sasuke.

Shurado was trying to avoid triggering Sasuke's strange ninjutsu immunity.

The exact mechanism wasn't clear, but it was obvious: Sasuke couldn't always activate that power. If Shurado wanted to survive, it had to make this hit count—and fast.

Meanwhile, high in the air, a massive stone sphere now hung silently, blotting out the moon.

Snap… snap…

Tiny stones began falling, one by one.

The sound wasn't loud.

But on this battlefield, now eerily silent, it was unbearably harsh.

Obito slowly lowered his arms and smiled with satisfaction.

It was done.

Logan hadn't escaped.

Sasuke hadn't used his mysterious power again.

"I win," Obito muttered to himself, chuckling amidst the devastation.

His laughter echoed across Kirigakure, blanketing the ruined village in a new, suffocating layer of fog.

So powerful.

This wasn't human power.

Zabuza remembered an old legend—never verified but whispered among Shinobi:

The Rain Village was Akatsuki's base. Within it was an angel who flew on white wings. An angel who could reshape heaven and earth.

A god.

"Is this... the power of a god?" he whispered.

Clang—

No one knew who dropped their weapon first.

But then another.

And another.

The reformist ninja dropped to their knees. It wasn't cowardice. If they lacked courage, they wouldn't have stood here and gambled their lives on even a sliver of hope.

But this?

How could humanity fight a god who could forge celestial bodies with his bare hands?

They felt like cavemen facing an aircraft—futile and absurd.

Obito's laughter pierced deeper, mocking their very resistance.

"Stand up!"

Terumi Mei's voice rang out.

She tore the tattered hem of her skirt, converting the long blue garment into a short skirt. Using the leftover fabric, she tied her hair into a ponytail.

"Even if I die, I want to die fighting—not out of fear."

She couldn't keep up with Logan and the others. Jinchūriki, Sharingan, Rinnegan, Stands—none of them needed hand seals to unleash devastating power.

But awareness?

She had that in spades.

Still, no one joined her.

They remained silent, heads bowed.

And then—

"Ha!"

A chuckle, slipping between Obito's laughter and the grim silence.

Everyone turned.

Sasuke stood there, bloodied and swaying, with Shurado's severed rocket fist at his feet.

He hadn't neutralized it with ninjutsu?

Obito's smirk froze.

Was it because Sasuke couldn't use his power?

Or...

"Is that thing harder than diamond?" Sasuke asked, pointing to the giant stone orb in the sky.

Everyone blinked.

Was that... a serious question?

Diamonds form under extreme heat—1,000 degrees Celsius—and pressures of 45,000 to 60,000 atmospheres. If Planetary Devastation met those criteria, it wouldn't be a sealing jutsu.

No. It wasn't that hard.

And if it wasn't, then it couldn't contain Logan.

"I didn't waste my one 'ineffective' chance," Sasuke continued, "because—"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The noise started soft—then surged like an earthquake.

"What's that sound!?" Obito muttered.

"There are only two reasons to ask a question you already know the answer to!" someone yelled.

It was Man Yue. With help from his comrades, he pulled himself upright.

"One: when you're confident, trying to break your enemy psychologically.

Two: when you're terrified and begging for a different answer."

He shouted toward Obito.

"Which one are you?!"

Obito didn't answer.

Couldn't answer.

Even if he did, no one would hear it.

The celestial sphere was crumbling, like a sesame ball frying in oil—stone after stone tumbling away. Through the growing cracks, a deep, echoing roar became audible:

"Ora Ora Ora Ora!"

"Ora Ora Ora Ora!"

"Ora Ora Ora Ora!"

With a thunderous crash, the last stone was blasted away—and with it came—

Logan.

"They actually showed up!" someone gasped.

Logan rocketed toward Obito like a meteor.

Obito's heart skipped a beat. His eyes flicked to Sasuke again.

Bloodied. Battered. Bones fractured. One knee on the ground.

But his gaze? Unbreakable.

Sasuke raised his finger, copying Logan.

"…But I'm saving the 'ineffective' chance—for you."

Chills surged through Obito.

Just moments ago, he was laughing.

Now?

Logan was right in front of him.

Obito tried to activate Kamui—to phase out—but realized something horrifying.

All his jutsu and Kekkei Genkai were gone.

Even Izanagi, his last resort, had vanished.

The shadow of death blanketed him.

He looked up—

But the world froze.

"Star Platinum!" Logan and Sasuke shouted in unison.

As ninjutsu was nullified...

Time stopped.

A perfect overlap.

"Ora!"

Star Platinum's fist shattered Obito's mask and drove straight into his skull.

Time resumed.

Jutsu remained nullified.

Obito was sent flying.

But before he could escape, Star Platinum grabbed his ankle and yanked him back—then drove a second punch through his chest.

A chunk of his back exploded outward. His heart flew free.

Star Platinum swung a third time—

But missed.

Obito's form shimmered, phasing out and reappearing ten meters away.

Izanagi had activated.

The first punch didn't kill him?

Logan swore he heard Obito's skull crack.

Star Platinum gave him a look—it didn't feel like a normal body.

Logan realized: another human-substitution jutsu. Like Orochimaru's techniques.

"One moment" was too short.

Enough for one decisive strike—but not to shut Obito's brain down.

With just a flicker of consciousness, Obito triggered Izanagi, burning a Sharingan and escaping death.

But only once.

If he stayed, he'd have to sacrifice the Kamui eye next.

Obito glared at Logan, then disappeared with Kamui, not daring to linger another second.

Pein silently watched Obito vanish. His face darkened, but his thoughts were unreadable.

Logan dusted himself off and walked toward him.

Pein lifted a hand, preparing another jutsu.

Logan waved dismissively. "The masked guy's gone. What are we still fighting for? Or..."

He pointed his thumb at the ruined Kirigakure behind them.

"You think this destruction was worth it?"

Pein didn't answer right away.

Instead, he looked off into the distance, watching as Hungry Kidō, Animal Path, and Konan approached, dragging their damaged comrades.

Hell Path summoned King Enma, who gobbled up Shurado's remains. Moments later, a fully restored Shurado emerged from its mouth.

The Six Paths of Pain were reunited.

Six pairs of Rinnegan turned toward Logan.

The pressure was suffocating—but Logan didn't flinch.

Pein finally spoke. "Those who have never suffered cannot understand happiness."

"But even if this suffering lasts ten or a hundred years," Logan replied, "it's always for the benefit of the few."

He stepped forward, unfazed. "And you think that's right?"

Pein stayed silent for a long time—then gave a slight nod.

"I want to take Konan back."

"Of course," Logan said.

The white snake appeared and waved its tail.

Logan turned to Konan. "Your 'order' is lifted."

Konan clutched her chest. The lingering thoughts that had shackled her vanished.

She nodded toward Pein.

"Let's go, Konan," Pein said.

He turned and began to walk away—but after a few steps, paused and glanced back.

Konan stood still.

Looking at Pein.

Then at Logan.

She hesitated.

"I... I don't want to leave just yet."
