Hokage:Overturning Ninja world

Chapter 74: Chapter 74: You Are Just a Vulgar Villain

Kirigakure.

The massive body of the Three Tails was sliced cleanly in half, like soft matcha pudding.

Ninjas from Kirigakure and hidden spies from other villages all scattered in a panic, their eyes wide with fear.

Dead.

The Fourth Mizukage of the Land of Water. A perfect Jinchūriki. The infamous founder of the Blood Mist Village...

Yagura, was dead.

It wasn't a sneak attack. It wasn't even a sudden ambush. In fact, Yagura had been fighting alongside Pain and the masked man—three powerful forces working together to take down Logan.

Yet not only did they fail… Yagura was split in half, killed outright.

It was absurd.

Unbelievable.

Like a turtle getting chopped on a kitchen counter.

The onlookers recalled how the Tailed Beast Bomb, Fire Style techniques, and chakra missiles had all vanished into thin air earlier...

No one dared to breathe loudly.

Even though the mist over Kirigakure had been cleared by Logan's sword, everything still seemed shrouded in fog. No one could make sense of what they were seeing. No one could understand how it was possible.

BOOM——

The chakra-formed body of the Three Tails gradually faded into nothingness. The dust still drifted through the air, yet none of it could touch Logan. The Qi surrounding him—a fusion of natural energy and invisible ripples—connected him to the very fabric of the world.

In that moment, Logan could feel the world's breath.

Qi was like a phonograph needle, reading the record of all things. Logan listened to its resonance, hearing the blood and sorrow embedded deep within the land, eternally echoing.

They were the ghosts of the wrongfully slain.

And they weren't in Hell.

They clung to money, trapped in wallets thrown on Kabuki Street, hidden in school desks at the Ninja Academy. As soon as Logan became aware of them, their eyes turned to him.

And then… they knelt.

They pleaded for him to put an end to it all.

Logan slowly opened his eyes.

He didn't know whether what he'd just felt was an illusion—but he now understood why those ghosts hadn't gone to Hell.

"Because this is Hell."

He lowered the heavy sword of destruction, raised one arm, and pointed directly at Pain and Obito. His eyes burned with unwavering determination.

"You're next."

Obito could see the fury in Logan's gaze.

It wasn't the anger of a soldier or a warrior—it was something deeper.

It was the soul-deep contempt of one human being for another.

To Logan, Obito no longer even qualified as human.

The intensity of that gaze sparked a rare flicker of anger in Obito's cold, numb heart. He normally avoided conversation during battle, but this time, he couldn't hold back.

"You think you're some kind of hero?"

"You have no idea what the people of Kirigakure did."

"They deserved everything that happened."

"Rin... died because of them!"

Obito expected an argument, maybe a counterattack. But instead, Logan's expression shifted—not to shock, but to something worse.

Disdain.

Logan had always found the Blood Mist Village's policies confusing. They often contradicted the usual goals of profit or control. He'd assumed there was a deeper purpose he hadn't yet discovered.

But now, it was clear.

"If all this tragedy had been caused by a pure schemer chasing some ideal, I could at least respect that," Logan said coldly. "That kind of dark will, I can understand."

"But you?"

Logan's gaze cut into Obito like a blade.

"You're nothing more than a vulgar villain."

Under that gaze, Obito felt as though his chest had been ripped open, his heart pulled out and left to freeze in the wind. His breath hitched. Pain flared through him, followed by a surge of rage.

Shame-fueled rage.

"What do you even know—"

Before Obito could finish, golden lightning cracked through the air.

Logan's voice was calm and cutting as he appeared beside Obito.

"As an adult, don't spout childish crap and expect others to understand you. I won't understand you."

"I'll just kill you."

Logan lashed out, his kick passing cleanly through Obito's intangible body.

"Star Platinum!"

The moment Logan sharpened his focus, time froze. Star Platinum emerged, hurling a devastating punch toward Pain.

The punch was unimaginably fast.

Driven by Logan's fury, it struck with speed far beyond his usual limit.

The blow connected with Pain's face. Anyone else would've gone flying with a fractured jaw and a shredded nervous system. But Pain was no ordinary man—he was a puppet, controlled remotely.

Just as his head was about to cave in, Pain activated Shinra Tensei.

Logan and Star Platinum were blasted backward.

But Logan wasn't just reacting. He was learning and adapting with every second.

During Pain's five-second cooldown window, Logan summoned Aerosmith, opening fire with pinpoint accuracy. Bullets rained down, forcing Pain into a defensive retreat.

"Watch out!"

Obito shouted as he rapidly formed seals.

"Fire Style: Explosive Dance!"

Flaming rings erupted around Logan mid-air.

Pain felt something strange at his back—his Shuradō path, viewing from the other side, caught the faint shimmer of white.

A snake.

By the time he realized it, Logan had already released Star Platinum and replaced him with a white snake summon.

"Hehehe..."

The snake chuckled sinisterly, pressing its fingers to Pain's forehead.

Ssssk—click!

Two gray, fragile chakra disks popped out from Pain's skull.

The white snake reached for them—but just then, a roar exploded from nearby.

It was Shuradō, jet flames blasting from his back like a rocket, crashing into Tendo Pain and dragging him away.

The snake was forced to retreat from the searing flames and couldn't retrieve the disks.

With a sneer, it raised its chin.

"What, you think you're the only one with a trigger-happy brother?"

Snap!

The white snake flicked its fingers.

"Kill him!"

Aerosmith locked onto Shuradō's flight path and launched a barrage of mini-missiles.

They exploded in a burst of flames, engulfing both Shuradō and Tendo.

A mushroom cloud rose into the sky.

The shockwave scattered stones like shrapnel, pelting Obito's mask with sharp cracks.

He couldn't spare a glance at Pain. Logan was already charging through the inferno like a beast, fists clenched.

BOOM—

Logan punched Obito through his body and slammed him into the earth.

The next second, Star Platinum materialized and unleashed a flurry of punches.

No matter how Obito tried to evade, Star Platinum never let him out of range—an evil spirit bound by overwhelming speed, precision, and power.

Obito could only maintain his intangibility.

But that ability had a time limit.

Obito tried hiding underground. Star Platinum's fist smashed through the dirt.

He tried hiding in a tree. Star Platinum split the trunk in two with one hand.

Obito's Kamui had two forms:

1. Partial hollowing—where his body became untouchable. Best for combat.

2. Dimensional retreat—fully entering the Kamui space to teleport. Best for escape.

But both had flaws.

Partial intangibility could only last five minutes.

And to enter Kamui space, Obito had to materialize first, even if just for a split second.

Normally, that would be enough.

But Logan and Star Platinum needed less than that.

Obito watched Star Platinum's fist bearing down on him again.

If he became tangible now… he'd die.

Sweat rolled down his masked forehead.

"How much longer?!" he screamed.

From underground, Pain's voice answered.

"Now."

Two arms erupted from the ground, tossing a small black orb with glowing white light straight at Logan.

The sphere moved so fast it passed through Star Platinum's punch and stuck to Logan's chest.

Pain emerged and clapped his hands together.

"Planetary Devastation."
