Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Schicksal and Anti-Entropy

[At the same time, two cute children were playing happily on a grassy field. Just as everyone was wondering why this scene was being shown, the back of a man in a white shirt appeared on the screen. His golden hair obscured his eyes as his thoughts drifted back to the past, and he couldn't help but reach out a hand.]

"That's me! Albeit the younger version." Kallen looked at the projection with pleasant surprise and nodded happily. Then she asked, puzzled, "I didn't expect little Yàqīng to write me into the story, but why wasn't I asked to do the voice acting?"

Otto remained silent.

"Otto, can you ask little Yàqīng for me if I have more scenes later?" Kallen looked at Otto, blinking her eyes coquettishly.

A critical hit, straight through Otto's heart.

Otto hugged Kallen tightly, as if afraid she would disappear in the next second. Yàqīng's script was so realistic that it made Otto feel as if he were in a dream, yet not a dream.

Although Kallen didn't know what was happening, seeing Otto show a moment of vulnerability for the first time in years, she gently stroked his golden hair.

[A sudden urgent report shattered the unusual atmosphere. Amber's report informed Otto that the Sovereign of Anti-Entropy, the First Herrscher Welt, had appeared near Babylon Tower. Hearing the familiar name, Otto was somewhat surprised.

"Welt...?! We still haven't settled the score from 1955." Otto muttered to himself.

A flashback cut in. The scene was Otto's memory, but the person in it was not the Welt Yang who had appeared earlier, but an unfamiliar youth with purplish hair, who landed a solid punch on his face.

Knowing it was related to Welt, Otto immediately connected the incident at Babylon Tower to the Second Herrscher. He simultaneously ordered Siegfried to defend Babylon Tower at all costs. Unfortunately, Otto had not anticipated that Siegfried would not fight the First Herrscher, but instead would take it upon himself to cooperate with Anti-Entropy, allowing Schicksal's enemy to enter Babylon Tower with them.

"Damn it. Siegfried is an unpredictable and dangerous element who does whatever he wants." Otto was furious. As he watched the live feed from the scene, he suddenly noticed something was off. The man calling himself Welt was not the Welt from his memory, yet the familiar figures of Einstein and Tesla were by his side, and the weapon in his hand was indeed the Star of Eden.

Understanding dawned on Otto. In a complete reversal of his earlier anger, he praised Siegfried's decision. With a malicious smile, he licked his upper lip.

"This time, we shall accept Anti-Entropy's... goodwill."]

"Eek..." Kiana shivered. "Overseer Otto is giving off major villain vibes..."

"Uh... that's probably not it. Grandpa is Yàqīng's direct superior, after all. The villain shouldn't be Grandpa... right?" Theresa was a little unsure. Although her script didn't specify it, the villainous aura was overwhelming.

Just as bewildered as Theresa was her grandmother, Kallen. "Otto, you..."

Otto's heart skipped a beat.

"...You got punched in the story, didn't you?" Kallen was being her naturally airheaded self.

"Hmph. It seems my dear subordinate still holds a bit of a grudge for being posted overseas," Otto said with a dismissive smile.

"Mm." Kallen gave Otto a meaningful look. She might be oblivious, but she wasn't stupid. With the atmosphere being this thick, she'd have to be truly airheaded not to guess what was going on.

In the Golden Courtyard, seeing the weapon in Welt Yang's hand was named the Star of Eden, Elysia excitedly shook Yàqīng's shoulders. "Yàqīng, my dear Yàqīng, does the Star of Eden have a special meaning?"

Yàqīng was a bit helpless. Elysia always got particularly excited when the topic involved Eden. He, and everyone else in the Courtyard, was already used to it.

"Ely, that's related to a major plot point later on," Yàqīng said with a smile. He was planning a big reveal later; there was no way he'd spoil it for Elysia so easily.

"Alright~ ♥"

"The 9th Divine Key? Is that a ranking of versatility or power?" Vill-V wondered. For some reason, the term "Divine Key" inexplicably drew her in.

Kevin's heart felt like it was being scratched by a kitten. He knew about the 7th and 6th Divine Keys, but he couldn't say anything. It was agonizing.

"It seems that whether in reality or in the story, our relationship with that Overseer Otto remains as tense as ever," Einstein commented in her usual listless tone.

"Serves him right!" Tesla, for once, didn't curse when talking about Otto. "Considering his later development in the story, were any of Otto's actions even humane?"

"That person in the flashback, that was me, right? I punched Otto in the face?" Welt Joyce was baffled. Since he hadn't done any voice acting, he didn't think he would make an appearance.

"Who knows? But Joyce, that was so satisfying! You should have landed a punch right on his **** (civilized language) **** (Anti-Entropy curse word) face!" Tesla clenched her fists excitedly.

Welt Joyce sighed helplessly.

["Achoo."

Tesla, who was leading the Titan mechs and guarding a position thirty kilometers from Babylon Tower, suddenly sneezed. It was hard to tell if it was from the cold or from Overseer Otto thinking about her. In the snowstorm, Tesla complained, "Dr. Einstein, this isn't fair!"

After getting Overseer Otto's approval, Einstein gave Otto a sarcastic thank you. Then, she turned to Theresa and Siegfried, who had just joined them. "I wonder if you two are aware that there is a prison for test subjects in the area beneath the Honkai reactor."

As soon as Einstein finished speaking, the scene flashed. In a world of ice and snow, a label appeared: Babylon Tower, 17 kilometers away. A purple, spiraling portal suddenly materialized, and Sirin appeared, sitting on the snow and panting heavily. It was her first long-distance teleport. Sirin was wondering why the miniature Honkai Beast had told her to retreat when her pupils suddenly contracted. She stared in shock at the huge, circular building before her. Following the miniature Honkai Beast inside, she saw her younger self, standing helplessly before a hospital bed, crying for her mother. But the patient on the bed was already covered with a white cloth.

"Mama... don't leave me all alone."

The naive cries of her younger self echoed in the silent space. Tears streamed down Sirin's face as she muttered, "I don't want to..."

At that moment, a purple flame ignited, and a voice that was neither male nor female spoke: "That's right. Tear open the human heart, and you can become a true Herrscher."]

"What a philosophical question." Mobius's desire for research was piqued. "Yàqīng, in your setting, what kind of existence is a Herrscher? A human who has suffered greatly? Or a human with special abilities?"

"What do you think, Senior Mobius?" Yàqīng retorted with a question of his own.

Mobius ground her teeth in frustration. When Elysia asked him questions, he would answer dotingly or, if he had to, refuse gently. But when she asked, he would just give a dismissive counter-question.

Good heavens, Yàqīng simply felt that Elysia's intellect might struggle with his ideas, which is why he always answered her questions. But Mobius was different. She stood at the pinnacle of human intelligence; how could she not understand him?

Cecilia hugged Sirin tightly.

Sirin could also feel the love in Cecilia's heart and gently nuzzled her cheek.

"Sirin, Mama will never leave you alone."
