Honkai Impact 3rd: Catching the Herrscher of Sentience at the Start

Pardo pointed at herself, her eyes wide in disbelief.

"Me? No way! I'd only drag Mei down. I can't fight at all. I'd rather stay here with you, Brother Lin."

Fu Lin explained, "You don't have to fight—just be there in case anything happens to Mei. My neck is still injured, and I can't run fast. If you don't go now, you'll lose sight of her."

"I see... Alright! Wait for me, Mei!" With that, Pardo quickly ran after Mei, leaving Can behind to accompany Fu Lin.

Fu Lin picked up Can, turned around, and silently sat back down on the bench where he had come from. Looking at the system with no tasks, he slowly furrowed his brows.

"The Herrscher of Corruption has appeared, yet the system still hasn't refreshed the tasks?"

"Forget it, I'll just wait for Mei to return."

"Meow~"

"Hey! Fu Lin, why are you here~ Where's Mei?" A crisp and pleasant voice rang in his ears. Fu Lin stiffly turned his body, only to see Elysia stepping out of the nearby bushes with a smile.

She then sat directly beside Fu Lin, lazily propping herself up with both arms before silently watching him.

Fu Lin quietly turned back, gazing ahead as he continued stroking Can in his hands. "Mei and Pardo went after a strange individual. Elysia, are you and Kevin done with your work?"

Elysia rested her chin on her hand and chuckled. "Mm, all settled. How about you and Mei? Have you met anyone else?"

Fu Lin replied, "Hua, Kosma, Sakura, Eden, Vill-V, and then there's Pardo. Eden even gave me a golden goblet. Pretty nice~."

Elysia asked again, "Mm-hmm, that's so like Eden~ By the way, do you know who let out that scream that echoed across all of the Elysium?"

Fu Lin paused his hand movements, his face stiffening. "Elysia... about that... I really don't know."

Elysia suddenly hugged Fu Lin's arm and looked at him with puppy-dog eyes.

"Really? My dear Fu Lin, you've been staring straight ahead since earlier, not even glancing at me. Do you not want to see me?"

"No, it's just that Miss Elysia is too beautiful. I'm afraid that if I look at you too much, I might explode."

Fu Lin's face turned red as he felt his arm pressed against Elysia's chest. He quickly pulled his arm away and shifted to an empty seat beside him.

Elysia leaned in again, going even further this time, directly wrapping an arm around Fu Lin's shoulders. "Haha, Fu Lin, you're so funny. No wonder Mei likes you."

Smelling the faint floral fragrance on Elysia, Fu Lin stiffened, sweating profusely. "You're joking. Mei and I are just friends."

"Really? Then can you tell me about you and Mei? No matter how much I ask her, she never tells me~"

"If you tell me, I'll give you this crystal flower. How about it?"

Elysia curled her lips into a smile, slowly raising her hand. A beautiful, dazzling crystal flower formed in her palm and then floated in the air, radiating mesmerizing brilliance.

Fu Lin glanced at the translucent crystal flower before his gaze shifted to Elysia. She was now lying down, her long pink hair flowing beneath a white veil, making her look like a blooming flower.

Her eyes were closed, her delicate nose slightly raised, and a gentle smile graced her lips. Her dreamlike face was so breathtaking that it seemed as if the Creator had poured their heart and soul into sculpting it.

Her slender waist was full of elegance, her skin pure and flawless like jade. She wore a luxurious white dress, her delicate hands resting quietly on her stomach, and her perfect legs crossed gracefully.

She lay there silently amidst the sea of flowers, as if waiting for someone to awaken her.

Fu Lin rubbed his eyes and looked at the crystal flower again, but the vision of Elysia had vanished, as if it had only been an illusion.

Elysia shyly said, "Don't stare at me like that~ I'll get embarrassed."

"If you tell me about you and Mei, I'll give this to you~?"

Fu Lin withdrew his gaze and refused. "Sorry, since Mei doesn't want to tell you, I choose to respect her wishes."

Actually, I don't know either… I haven't even figured out Kiana's situation yet, and now there's another Mei who might be good or bad. My life is really tough!

Elysia, undeterred, shook Fu Lin's arm. "Don't be so heartless~ Just a little is fine, like how you and Mei first met~"

Fu Lin gently pushed Elysia away and stood up. "I refuse."

"Mm~" Elysia pouted, puffing up her cheeks. She clenched her small hands into fists and stood up as well. A sly glint flashed in her eyes before she suddenly spread her arms and lunged at Fu Lin.

Because he had been sitting for too long, Fu Lin felt a bit dizzy when he suddenly stood up. He instinctively covered his eyes, but before he could recover, Elysia had already knocked him down.

Can yelped in surprise, jumping out of Fu Lin's arms just before Elysia pounced on him.

Fu Lin held the back of his head, frowning as he looked at the slightly confused Elysia on top of him. "Ugh… What are you doing?"

Elysia straddled him, her hands resting on his chest. She touched her head in realization, then stuck out her tongue apologetically.

"My dear Fu Lin, I didn't do it on purpose."

"You two… what are you doing?!"
