Honkai impact: Dimensional Herrscher

"Mhm…"

Adam yawned lazily, his body stretching instinctively as his blue eyes fluttered open.

The faint golden light of morning filtered through the curtains, painting the room in a warm, gentle glow. 

He blinked slowly, the edges of his vision soft, his mind still wrapped in the haze of sleep.

For a moment, he stayed still, his mind slowly shaking off the remnants of sleep. 

His silver hair was a mess, and his blanket, half-kicked off during the night, was tangled around his legs. 

Yet, he didn't care.

This… felt nice.

He shifted slightly, the soft mattress beneath him cushioning his every move. 

The pillow cradled his head just right, and the warmth of the blanket that still covered him made him want to stay like this forever.

"This is… weird," 

Adam muttered under his breath

When was the last time he'd woken up like this? So relaxed. So… comfortable.

"Haah…" He sighed, sinking deeper into the mattress, letting his body relax completely for a moment longer.

He felt…. at home. It was as if he was in a mother's embrace, or well, in a mother's womb

Everything around him felt…. warm

Was it the bed? The warmth of the room? The absence of danger looming over his head? He couldn't tell.

"...Did a succubus come into my room and charm me when I was asleep?" 

-This was his first thought when waking up with such comfort and warmth

"Let's see…."

Adam sat up slowly, running a hand through his messy hair as he glanced toward the window. 

"Weird…."

It was quiet. Too quiet.

No birds chirped. No distant hum of cars or faint laughter of children reached his ears. 

The dorm was insulated well, sure, and it was far from the bustle of the city, but this… this was a silence that didn't feel natural

The actual weird thing was that he couldn't hear all those sounds even with his enhanced senses

"It's kinda… nice" 

He muttered to himself, his lips curling into a small smile.

It was strange, actually, but he didn't hate it.

Maybe it was the fact that he once again skipped school with no repercussions that made him so happy and comfortable

Adam swung his legs over the edge of the bed, his feet brushing against the wooden floor. He stretched again, letting out a satisfied hum as he stood.

As he headed toward the door-

BAM

The door flew open with force, slamming against the wall.

"What is it?" 

The silver-haired asked lazily, turning his head toward the intruder.

Olivia stood in the doorway, her blue hair catching the light like ocean waves. 

Her serious expression was offset by her composed demeanor—sharp, but not panicked.

"Something's wrong"

Olivia spoke in a serious and grave voice- though, again, she didn't look panicked in the slightest

"...."

He paused mid-step, frowning slightly as he thought over her words

"Yeah… Now that you mention it…" His voice trailed off as his gaze turned inward, his blue eyes narrowing in thought. "Something is definitely wrong."

The air felt thick, saturated with something… familiar. Something dangerous.

Adam's frown deepened as he stood still, his silver hair glinting faintly in the soft morning light. 

His lazy demeanor evaporated as he focused inward, his mind turning to the strange sensation he'd felt since waking up.

"…Honkai energy…." 

He muttered.

There was Honkai energy everywhere.

It wasn't faint or fleeting, nor was it localized to a single point. 

The entire room—no, the entire area—was saturated with it. 

Chaotic, destructive, violent, corruptive,

This energy was the kind that would have turned a normal human into a zombie, or outright killed them.

Yet, for Adam, it didn't feel threatening. Quite the opposite, actually.

It felt… warm.

His frown turned into a thoughtful expression as he placed a hand on his chest. The energy wasn't just around him—it was within him. 

It felt as though the Honkai energy itself had taken the initiative to flow into his body, like water seeking the lowest point. 

It wasn't something he actively absorbed or manipulated; it was almost like the energy wanted to be a part of him.s

"Huh…" The silver-haired boy muttered under his breath. "It's like I'm soaking in a warm bath… except the bath is made of Honkai energy."

He looked at his hands, flexing his fingers experimentally. The chaotic energy didn't lash out or resist; it didn't burn or corrode him. 

Instead, it wrapped around him, as if trying to comfort him, to connect with him.

"Hey."

Olivia's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. She stepped closer, her azure eyes searching his face.

"You okay?"

Despite the tension in her voice, her demeanor was calm and collected, though there was a faint edge of concern in her expression.

"Yeah, yeah," 

Adam replied absentmindedly, waving a hand dismissively as he glanced around the room. His enhanced senses were now fully active, analyzing the situation. 

He could feel the ebb and flow of Honkai energy, not just here but far beyond the dorm. It was all connected, swirling in chaotic patterns that somehow still felt… welcoming.

"Oh, I see" Adam said, his voice certain as a grin emerged on his face "So that's how it is….."

Olivia raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to elaborate.

"There's Honkai energy everywhere," Adam continued, gesturing around him. "It's thick. Chaotic. This whole area is saturated with it. And yet…" 

He paused, his expression shifting into something unreadable.

"It is as if I have absolute control over it"

"Really?" The blue haired woman frowned as she narrowed her eyes. "You mean it's not affecting you negatively?"

"No." He said, shaking his head slowly. "It's the opposite. It's like my body's soaking it in without me even trying. Almost like… it's alive."

"From what you've told me…." Olivia stiffened at his words, her arms dropping to her sides. "This isn't normal, right?"

"I mean… It would be strange if anything else happened" Adam muttered, running a hand through his silver hair. "MANTIS+Herrscher+Adaptation. If honkai damaged me of all people, then humanity would already be done for"

"What about you?" He turned to Olivia, his sharp blue eyes meeting hers. "Are you okay?"

"I…." She flinched, hesitant "It's suffocating. This much Honkai energy… is pressuring even me. I really can't understand how the humans of this world have survived up until now"

Good to know. 

Olivia was definitely one of the best adventurers…. And yet just this much honkai energy was affecting her

"....."

Adam looked at her up and down, observing her state

"Ahem, you don't have to look at me like that" Her face flushed slightly "You can just ask…. And I will show you"

"Really-?"

"Of course!"

Olivia smiled cheerfully, rolling up her sleeves 

"....."

The silver-haired boy's smile froze, his gaze instantly focusing on the woman's arms

…So much so that he ignored her ambiguous words

"Does it… hurt?"

He asked her softly

"It does"

Olivia bit her lower lip, eyebrows creasing

Because-

On her arms, above her palms, there were faint pink lines reaching up to her elbow

…Honkai corruption

Adam walked up to Olivia, grabbing her hands and interlocking her fingers with his own

"Hm?"

She blinked in confusion, but didn't say anything

Even in this weird situation, even when she apparently had corruption…. Olivia let him do as he wished, 

Because she trusted him

"Oh.."

Realization dawned on the blue-haired woman

"Now that I think about it…." Adam looked at the still present honkai corruption lines in her arms "There is a way to help you adapt to honkai energy, while making sure you stay alive"

The Adaptation of Incursio isn't that powerful. It needs time and sufficient stimuli to be effective

"And… what's that?"

She tilted her head in curiosity, wanting to know how Adam could help her deal with this terrifying 'honkai' he told her about

"It's simple…"

Without another word, Adam pressed his lips gently against hers. The kiss was soft at first, not rushed, but the moment it happened, something stirred within both of them. 

But then, as if instinctively, she relaxed, allowing him to guide her through the act. 

His hands cupped her face lightly, holding her steady as he deepened the kiss. Olivia's arms also wrapped around his neck, holding him close

As the kiss lasted, Adam felt the flow of energy between them, drawing it from her like a current through his veins. 

He didn't just kiss her; he took the corruptive energy, and absorbed it into his body with quiet control, his lips never breaking contact. 

The sensation was unlike anything else—like tasting something bitter yet oddly soothing at the same time. 

He could feel the Honkai energy pulsing beneath her skin, and with every second, it began to dissipate, flowing into him, being devoured

'Honkai energy is really tasty…'

Olivia allowed him to do what he needed, but after a few moments, she also started responding enthusiastically. 

Her breaths came in shallow bursts as their tongues intertwined, her chest rising and falling with each quiet intake of air. 

After what seemed like an eternity, Adam finally pulled back, breaking the kiss.

His lips lingered for a moment longer, just barely touching her skin. 

The faintest trace of warmth remained between them, and the energy that had been swirling around Olivia had lessened. 

It was still there, but it wasn't as suffocating now.

Olivia stood, silent, a faint flush on her cheeks. 

Adam didn't say anything. He simply wiped his lips lightly with the back of his hand and gave her a smirk. 

"How do you like my treatment?"

His gaze shifted to her arms, where the pink lines had all but disappeared.

"It was very good~" She smiled at him, looking up to him with bright eyes "I enjoyed it!"

"Glad to hear it"

"Though…"

She frowned, turning her gaze downwards to her arms

- Where faint, dim, and short honkai lines started appearing once again

"Maybe…."

Olivia's gaze turned back to Adam's face, specifically, his lips

"I need some more… treatment~!"

She smiled playfully as she winked

"As you wish!"

The room was quieter now.

Adam stood back, watching Olivia carefully. 

Her arms were clear now—no pink lines, no signs of Honkai corruption.

And she didn't seem to be getting honkai corruption overtime, either

Olivia's posture was different too, her stance more relaxed, her expression far less strained than before.

Adam gave a satisfied nod, his eyes scanning her body once more. 

The process had worked. Adaptation is really overpowered

Though, again, the Adaptation of Incursio from Akame Ga Kill isn't that strong…. It still allowed Olivia to develop a decent level of honkai resistance 

….But that was only after several 'draining' kisses

"...."

He didn't speak, just walked past her, his hand briefly brushing against her shoulder as he moved to the door.

"Let's get going,"

He smiled, putting a hand on his pocket

"Okay"

Olivia nodded, following him without hesitation

"By the way…" Adam looked back at her "You can now generate LP, so when the need arises, don't be afraid to use the 3 skills you gave me"

Naturally, he planted an [LP seed] on her. So she could generate LP on her own
