How to raise a Russian Girlfriend!

Chapter 35: Ch. 35 - Another date that leads to disaster!

«Heian Era, 1000 years ago»

Before the age of industrial evolution which eventually led to modernization.

Humans from back then were led by a dominating yet hidden force.

Jujutsu Sorcerers. People who were considered legends and myths across Japan.

Among the Jujutsu Sorcerers, there was once a notable Sorcerer who led himself down the dark path.

Ryomen Sukuna.

A Jujutsu Sorcerer who killed others of his kind in pursuit of greater power before dying from natural causes made by god.

However, his story didn't end there.

No.

Ryomen Sukuna was revived. Not as a human but as a vengeful Cursed Object in the shape of twenty fingers whose goal is to continue his original purpose. Pursue great power.

By incarnating through countless humans that ate the fingers, Sukuna remained alive and prosperous for many more years, hunting Jujutsu Sorcerers and mass-massacring villages.

His journey, of course, wasn't without hurdles.

One day, he came across a few people.

Devils and Angels, locked in an intense battle, neither gaining the upper hand.

The balance of the battle was then broken when Sukuna arrived.

Seeing the angelic beings radiating their holy power made him hiss in pain. Out of anger, Sukuna unleashed his wrath, forcing the unsuspecting Angels to shift their attention to him.

However, with the element of surprise on his side, Sukuna emerged victorious. His strength, of course, was still weak.

He found a weakness. These angelic beings and their holy power could cause great pain to him, reminding him of his years when he was still a naive and pathetic human.

On the other hand, the devils admired him. Sensing his malicious curse energy, the devils no doubt, mistook him for a Cursed Spirit.

Arrogance was one of the many traits of a devil.

They disregard Sukuna's pride and order him to join them in their glorious cause of killing the angelic beings.

But would Sukuna yield and reduce himslef to a mere puppet?

Soon, the devils met the same fate as their mortal enemy—death.

Through the combination of one of his cursed energies and the unique properties of his body, Sukuna consumed and devoured the devils and angels alike, gaining more power than when used on Jujutsu Sorcerers.

Sukuna has discovered something new to hunt for power.

No longer would he tie himself to hunting Jujutsu Sorcerers.

Instead, he'll start to target other beings, specifically devils and angels!

«Present Day»

"I don't remember hearing about this from the history books. From what I know, Sukuna only hunted Jujutsu Sorcerers, not Angels and Devils…" Nanami pinched his chin and muttered under his breath.

"Hmm…I guess you guys also have no idea how Sukuna was sealed back into his fingers…" The devil, who introduced himself as Sai Barbatos.

"…I assume he wasn't taken down by Jujutsu Sorcerers alone…" Nanami said with a squint of his eyes.

"Typical humans and their tendency to change history…" Sai shook his head and then continued.

"Unfortunately, the time for our contract is up. Since this is your first time using a contract. Consider it on the house….Don't forget to give me a rating of five stars, Goodbye." With that being said, a magic circle appeared underneath his boot before swallowing him whole.

"…"

"…"

The two of them remained silent for a few seconds before it was broken by Nanami.

"Gojo-san. Where did you get that flyer?"

While the two notable Jujutsu Sorcerers were still digesting the roller coaster of information that they received from a devil, our dear main character cares about none of that.

Instead, he was preparing himself in front of the mirror for his upcoming date with Sawako.

A week earlier, they rescheduled their second date due to the disaster of two cursed spirits attacking the cinema.

"I'll make it right this time. Make sure there are no loose variables that will destroy our date." He muttered to himself.

But first. Before he proceeds to the date, he needs some money.

'Right. I have an entire treasure of jewelry and gold coins that could buy an entire Empire and still leave me some change to buy smaller kingdoms back in the Fantazio.' He murmured to himself before taking a short look at his inventory and there it was.

[Gold Chests +999

- Each chest contains a Million Gold Coins, enchanted with space expansion using space magic.]

[Royal Jewelries +99

- Gifts from several Kingdoms and loots from dungeons and such.]

[Golden Castle

- A castle of gold made solely by Alistair Abara out of boredom. The entire castle is made up entirely of pure gold.]

'Yeah, no. I'll only sell a few and work my way up. Don't want to destroy this world's gold economy.' Kenshin muttered to himself before leaving the house.

As the protagonist was on his quest of From Rags to Riches, two newcomers arrived at Shinjuku station.

Nanami and Satoru stepped out of the train station and were met with the beauty of Shinjuku. The vast skyline buildings and structures that tower over the others.

Expensive vehicles and transportation occupied most of the road with countless civilians and foreigners roaming around the plaza.

"Woaahh! That's Shinjuku sky!" Satoru spread his arms around and grabbed a camera out of nowhere before taking a photo of the sky.

Snap!

"That's Shinjuku cars!"

Snap!

"Shinjuku buildings!"

Snap!

"Us in Shinjuku!" Satoru threw up a peace sign as he took a selfie with a grumbling Nanami from behind him.

Snap!

"Gojo-san. We're not here for a vacation. We're here to investigate stray devils, aren't we? Sai told us that everywhere around the world, there will always be a stray devil. We'll get to see and even fight one for ourselves." Nanami pushed the rim of his glasses elegantly.

"Chill, Nanami-san. Don't worry, considering how weak the devil we first met, I'm starting to think they aren't that strong, perhaps they're just a bunch of Special-Grade spirits in terms of strength." Satoru casually shrugged his shoulders, as if his words wouldn't spark outrage if a devil were to hear his words.

"Don't speak such things so casually, Gojo-san. We never know that a devil is roaming around us." Nanami sighed in defeat after seeing how his words went in and out of Satoru's ears.

"How did you even know that there's a stray devil in this place? Sai didn't tell us anything about them." As they exited the station, Nanami asked curiously.

"It's simple. I just used my Six Eyes and Limitless to cover the entirety of Tokyo. Though it almost popped my brain, but nothing an RCT can't fix." Satoru explained with a casual manner, as if there was no weight in his words.

'Covering the entire Tokyo with his senses!?' Meanwhile, Nanami stood frozen behind him, a bead of sweat rolled down his forehead as he glanced at Satoru's figure walking away.

'What a monster. Truly the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer today.' He mumbled under his breath.

'This time. I arrived an hour earlier than the given time.' Kenshin smirked at his flawless thinking.

On their first date, Sawako was a few minutes earlier than him which almost hurt his pride as a man.

So with his quick thinking, he decided to go much earlier, about an hour before the designated time.

That way, he wouldn't have to be embarrassed when Sawako arrived early again.

'I'm so smart!' Kenshin praised himself. If he were to have glasses, no doubt he would push its rim.

Now all that's left for him is to wait for her. Something very easy for him considering he had lived for thousands of years back then. What's more of just an hour?

As time ticked by and he politely rejected several gyaru girls who tried to flirt and accompany him, Kenshin was about to go to the bathroom to take a short piss when he finally saw a familiar face.

There she was. Her long and straight shiny black hair cascaded past her shoulders. Her dark eyes reflected against the sunlight and finally, what truly caught her attention was the dress she was wearing.

Unlike other women who wear fancy or revealing clothes on dates, Sawako was wearing a plain yellow dress with a single piece of flower tucked in her hair.

How could something so plain and simple, able to complement when worn by Sawako? It's like seeing coal turn into a diamond.

Seeing that she was about to settle in a single place and wait for him, Kenshin quickly approached her/

"Hey there." Tapping on her shoulders, as soon as she turned around, he quickly pointed his index finger and watched as the turn of her head made it poke her cheeks.

"Hahaha~!" Kenshin chuckled as Sawako pouted when she finally registered what he had just done.

"My bad, my bad. I just felt like doing it, especially seeing how hard you try to fix your breathing. You ran here, didn't you?" A guilty look appeared on her face like a child caught stealing something.

"Sigh. Didn't I tell you not to go too early and just arrive in time or a few minutes late?" Kenshin shook his head and clicked his tongue as he scolded her.

Just as she was about to apologize, she came to a realization.

"Wait. Then why are you here earlier than me then?" She pointed her finger at him in accusation.

"….Let's go, I think there was a newly opened restaurant here somewhere." Kenshin avoided her eyes and simply pointed in a random direction before grabbing her hand and sauntering over there.

"Don't avoid my question!" She pouted.

"I heard they serve good food…"

***

"A ramen shop?" Nanami raised his eyebrows after taking a good look at where Satoru brought him.

"Yep! Even though spreading my senses across the entire Tokyo was a bit vague rather than fully detailed buta I sense a similar energy that Sai has around these parts of the ward." With raised hands tucked behind his head, Satoru casually strolled inside.

"Sigh." While his companion could only do nothing but sigh in defeat.

'Maybe I should try to ask for a raise whenever I accompany Gojo-san.' He mumbled to himself but still entered the establishment.

Inside, everything just looks normal, albeit the space was bigger than the other ramen shops but the theme and the interior design were mostly the same.

A long L-shaped table stretched from near the entrance to the furthest wall in the shop where most single or two people dine in. While several small booths with a table and six chairs can be seen in some corners of the restaurant.

What caught Nanami's attention was the kitchen being closed with a long curtain, where only a single silhouette of a person could be seen moving inside.

'With such a big ramen shop and there's only one cook? And why is he using a curtain to cover the kitchen? Privacy issues or something more personal?' By the time he was inside for three seconds, Nanami had already analyzed the weirdness and some things being out of place.

Sitting on the long L table was Satoru with a small smile on his face.

Nanami came to join him and sat by his side.

"This place is a bit weird, Gojo-san. Not only are the customers too engrossed in their ramen as if it's the most delicious ramen they've ever tasted, but this curtain is also preventing us from seeing inside…" Nanami proceeded to explain the oddities of the ramen shop.

In the middle of his explanation, a couple enters through the front door and he overhears the male's voice.

"I saw this place on the internet. It was just established a few months ago and it already has racked up thousands of 5-star reviews! It's a flawless five stars that it almost looks unbelievable."

"Really? That sounds amazing…"

"I know righ—!?" Just as the couple was about to find their respective seat, the male suddenly froze when they were just a few steps away from him and Satoru.

"M-Maybe we should just try to find another ramen shop…"

"Eh? Why? Is something wrong here?"

Just as the two were about to leave, the cook behind the curtains suddenly spoke.

"Why are you leaving, dear customers? Please take a seat and enjoy the meal…" At the same time, two hands emerged from underneath the curtain and placed two hot steaming bowls of ramen on the table.

A few seconds in, two similar hands with the same bowls of ramen also appeared but this time, in front of Satoru and Nanami.

"Excuse me. But we haven't ordered yet…" Nanami looked down at the steaming bowl and said with a hint of suspicion in his voice.

"Don't worry, dear customer. They're on the house. Please eat them." The man behind the veil of the curtain spoke with a slightly suspicious eager tone.

The two couples, on the other hand, ignored the bowls and were about to leave when the front doors were suddenly shut resoundingly.

Bam!

Click!

Just like that, the door was closed and locked. Trapping everyone inside.
