Chapter 21: 《Harry Potter- Ravenclaw》Chapter 21: Practicing the Summoning Charm—Meeting Miss Otter

"That's not so certain—the Sorting's decided by the ceremony itself," George said, flashing a mischievous grin. "Getting through the Sorting Ceremony… well, that's a whole different challenge."

"Exactly!" Fred added with a dramatic wink, switching to a mock-sorrowful tone. "If you want to enroll, you'll have to survive the terrifying Sorting Ceremony!"

Lee Jordan put on his most solemn face. "Mate, I believe in you. After all, it's only a duel to the death. You'll be fine."

The three of them, perfectly in sync, each left a cryptic warning before slipping out of the compartment—leaving behind a trail of mock suspense.

Wyzett remained unruffled. "The Sorting Ceremony… it can't really be that scary, can it?"

Cho Chang couldn't help but laugh. "I wouldn't know for sure. We'll be at Hogwarts by evening—then you'll see for yourself."

The train thundered out of London and into the wild countryside.

Out here, there were barely any signs of human life—just endless fields, herds of cattle and sheep, and the steady chug of the Hogwarts Express.

By noon, sunlight poured through the windows, and the sound of trolley wheels—clack-clack—echoed down the corridor.

A plump, cheerful witch pushed open the compartment door. "Anything off the trolley, dears? Sweets, cakes, snacks, pies… everything your heart desires!"

As she spoke, she revealed a dazzling array of magical treats.

When Wyzett had stayed at Luna's house, he'd only tasted Xenophilius's homemade biscuits—heavy on the Gurdyroot and flour, with a pungent onion flavor and little else. In his previous life, the orphanage meals were nutritious but bland, so he'd never developed much of an appetite for good food. To him, eating was just about filling his stomach.

Now, suddenly faced with choices, he turned to Cho Chang for help. "Any recommendations? I haven't seen any of these before."

"It's tough to pick—they all have their own magic," Cho replied, frowning in thought. "If you want the real wizarding experience, you've got to try Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, Drooble's Best Blowing Gum, and Chocolate Frogs. All classics."

The snacks were so cheap it was almost unbelievable. Wyzett bought several of each that Cho mentioned, and it only cost him fifteen bronze Knuts.

He couldn't help but marvel, "Now this… this is real magic."

Converted to his old world's prices, it was barely five yuan—absurdly affordable.

And the packaging! Every box was a riot of colors, bright and eye-catching.

Especially the blue Chocolate Frog boxes, trimmed in gold—so exquisite you almost didn't want to open them.

"Thanks!" Cho Chang accepted the Chocolate Frog he handed her.

She opened the box, and the chocolate frog inside immediately leapt out, arcing through the air in a flash of brown.

Wyzett reacted quickly, catching the little frog with a look of delighted surprise. "It actually moves? That's amazing!"

Using his Oculus Magicae, he saw that the frog's surface shimmered with magic—and there was another blurry symbol etched into the spellwork.

"The cards inside are magical too!" Cho said, pulling out a wizard card from the box.

It too was inscribed with a faint magical symbol. The card's illustration showed a white-bearded old man—and his name: Albus Dumbledore.

Dumbledore gave Wyzett a gentle smile and a nod, then vanished right off the card.

"Wait, where'd he go?" Wyzett blurted out.

"That's magic for you!" Cho laughed. "Wizarding portraits move about all the time—they can wander from one frame to another. The Chocolate Frog cards are the real treasure. If you're interested, you should start collecting them. The biographies on the back are fascinating."

"Biographies?" Wyzett flipped the card over and read:

"Widely considered the greatest wizard of modern times… defeated the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in 1945… worked with Nicolas Flamel, the famed alchemist who created the Philosopher's Stone…"

Not only were the cards fun, but the Chocolate Frog itself was delicious.

Rich milk and chocolate aromas melted on his tongue, silky and smooth. The balance of bitterness and sweetness was perfect—best of all, it wasn't cloying.

"I should send some to Luna… and Mr. Lovegood!" Wyzett's eyes lit up, and he dashed into the corridor in search of the trolley witch.

Cho Chang was clearly popular in Ravenclaw; students kept dropping by to visit.

Just after lunch, another pretty brown-haired girl arrived.

She was a fifth-year Ravenclaw named Penelope Clearwater.

Penelope hugged Cho around the waist and sighed, "Cho, I'm so stressed… O.W.L.s are this year, and I've just been made a prefect."

She tugged at the badge on her chest—blue and bronze gleamed in the sunlight.

Cho patted her shoulder reassuringly. "Isn't that a good thing? I heard you prefects even get your own bathroom—a really fancy one."

"Privileges come with responsibilities," Penelope sighed. "I've got to patrol the train. I just swapped shifts with Percy Weasley, and there's a meeting later. I'm only here for a quick break—and to brush up on my magic. Not being able to practice all summer set me back."

She pulled out her wand, handed a notebook to Cho, and said, "Could you check if I've memorized this right? Summoning Charm—the incantation is Accio…"

"It's a spell that summons distant objects to you. Key points: you have to focus your will, picture the target clearly, and you can't use it on living creatures…"

She pointed her wand at Cho Chang. "Accio notebook!"

The notebook in Cho's hands fluttered a few pages, but didn't move any further.

"I'm so out of practice…" Penelope frowned. "Focus… visualize… Accio notebook!"

Wyzett recalled the Summoning Charm from The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 4. The textbook's explanation was long and complicated, but Penelope's notes made it much clearer—he felt like he could try it himself.

He'd wanted to experiment when Lee Jordan was practicing the Mending Charm, but the timing hadn't been right.

Now was the perfect opportunity.

He set the Chocolate Frog box on the seat opposite, drew his dagger-like wand, and gave it a gentle flick. "Accio Chocolate Frog!"

The blue box shivered, as if tugged by invisible threads, and slid a couple of inches toward him.

A good learning environment made all the difference. As Penelope practiced and shared tips, Wyzett improved quickly—each repetition drew the box a little closer.

Just then, hurried footsteps echoed down the corridor.

"Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost his toad…"

Wyzett looked up to see a breathless girl appear in the doorway.

She had bushy brown hair, round cheeks, and prominent front teeth—she looked remarkably like an otter.

Instinctively, Wyzett reached for his Chocolate Frog, but out of habit, he cast, "Accio Chocolate Frog!"

Success!

The blue box shot into his palm at lightning speed.

The girl's eyes widened in disbelief. "What spell was that? Why haven't I read about it in any of the books?"
