The three of them walked together down the wide road leading into the capital's inner city.

Turning her head, Fen Cheng asked "Hmm.. Lady Zijin, you had Rui Clan's token with you, right? Why did you show that when the guards asked you?"

With a soft sigh, Yan Zijin replied "I lost my storage ring."

Fen Cheng pouted her lips "I see, that sucks..."

Zhao Tian walked silently at her side while Wei Ruyin walked a half-step behind them, observing the capital around her with quiet wonder.

Eventually, the wide road curved into a great square.

At the far end of the square, the towering gates of the Rui Clan's main estate stood.

Guards clad in golden azure armor stood at attention outside the entrance, each bearing twin halberds.

They recognized Fen Cheng immediately and smiled slightly as the group approached.

"Lady Cheng. The Inner Pavilion has been prepared for the guests."

"Thank you," Cheng nodded and led them in.

"Welcome to the Rui Clan's main household," Cheng said, her eyes glowing with pride.

"We've been maintaining this place for generations. Come, I'll take you to your pavilions."

She led them along a spiraling path that wound through gardens filled with herbs.

On one side, a group of young Rui Clan disciples practiced sword formations under a master's supervision.

Finally, Cheng stopped at a set of interconnected pavilions built over a lake.

Each pavilion stood on its own platform, connected by curved bridges lined with pale lanterns.

The first one was intended for Zhao Tian, the second for Yan Zijin, and the last one was for Wei Ruyin.

"Here we are," Fen Cheng said brightly.

Wei Ruyin's lips parted slightly as she looked around in awe "This place… looks even more beautiful."

Fen Cheng gave her a gentle smile. "Rest here, and recover. The Rui Clan treats its guests with respect and honor."

"I will tell Lady Lian that you have arrived."

Yan Zijin nodded her head and glanced at Zhao Tian and Wei Ruyin "For the time being, let's rest."

"We will meet when Lian'er comes here."

Zhao Tian gave a nod, and Wei Ruyin also nodded her head.

Without another word, he turned and stepped into his pavilion.

The heavy wooden door closed behind him with a muted thud, cutting off the gentle music of flowing water and distant insects outside.

He walked slowly across the polished floor and sat on the edge of the bed.

He leaned back slowly, allowing his muscles to sink into the bed.

As his head rested against the silken pillow, sleep took him quietly.

The stars had risen outside and the moons glimmered in the lake's reflection.

Hearing the knock on the door, Zhao Tian frowned and his eyelashes fluttered open.

He slowly sat up and stretched his muscles before standing up.

Reaching for the door, he slowly opened it and looked at Yan Zijin standing outside "...Master?"

Yan Zijin gave a faint nod and muttered "Lian'er has sent us a message that she won't be able to meet us today. She will meet us tomorrow."

Zhao Tian blinked once, processing the words before giving a short nod. "Alright…"

Looking at his face, she noticed that he is still worn out "Food is ready. The servants have laid out dishes in the side hall of the pavilion. Do you want to join?"

Shaking his head, he replied "No, I think I will rest a bit longer."

She didn't persuade him and gave a faint nod as she knew he was mostly awake during their journey, looking out for another rupture and space pirates.

She raised her hand and gently patted his shoulder "Rest well."

He gave a faint nod, and with that, Yan Zijin stepped back as she turned and disappeared down the bridge.

Zhao Tian closed the door quietly and stood there for a moment "I miss my wives..."

"Haa.. now this is comfortable."

A soft mutter escaped Zhao Tian's lips looked at the three naked women lying beside him on the bed.

Velnorah was on his left, cuddling into his neck while Xia Shenyi was hugging him on the right with Li Jia lying on top of him, like a cat.

Li Jia softly kissed his cheek as her lips trailed down to kiss his collarbone, savoring the taste of his skin.

Velnorah slowly played with his hair in her fingers as she asked "How was the food, Tian?"

Turning to her, he smiled "It was great, Norah. Are you the one who prepared it?"

She nodded shyly "Well, I helped Lingxi in preparations."

His gaze softened, and he pulled her even closer to kiss her nose "Uh huh... I enjoyed the food today. Eating with my wives."

Xia Shenyi chuckled in her heart and looked at him affectionately, caressing his cheek.

Li Jia raised her head from his chest and muttered "I spent today with Sect master, Sister Norah was also with me."

"And when Sect Master asked her if she wanted to take charge of the Crimson Flame wing again, she refused."

A deep sigh escaped Velnorah's lips "I joined the sect for infiltration in the first place. Even though I like that place... I don't want to be an elder anymore."

At this time, the door suddenly swung open and Shi Yixian hurriedly rushed in.
