I Am Hades, The supreme GOD of the Underworld!

Chapter 478: Chapter 478: An Eruption of Dark Energy! The Sealed Sea Realm and the Turmoil and Fury of the Mythological World! (Bonus Chapter 2)

Hades left the Sea Realm, his shadow vanishing without a trace.

"Heh…" Poseidon watched as Hades' shadow faded away, smiling faintly and murmuring to himself, "Hades, your path has been set. Now, what about mine? Mythological World, what will your response to my choices be?"

At that moment, Poseidon fell into deep contemplation. He was uncertain of what awaited him, yet he knew that regardless of the outcome, he had no other option but to continue forward.

After all, he had already come too far on this path. Turning back was no longer possible. Ever since he discovered the hidden power within the depths of the Sea Realm, he'd had no choice in the matter. To take a shortcut, to try to outpace Hades—this was the only path he could take.

Since he'd made his decision, he had no need to dwell on it further. The choice was clear: he could only walk this path to see what awaited him.

Poseidon understood this well. As gods, their hearts were resolute. Once they made a decision, they would not hesitate. Poseidon knew that whatever the future held, he had to follow this course. He had already set his heart and mind on this path, and there would be no stopping now.

For a god, finding a true path was incredibly rare. Many spent their lives searching for it, only to fall short. This futility was a deep-rooted despair among gods—a feeling that even gods could do nothing about.

This was the dilemma of being a god. For them, seeing a path forward was both a relief and a tragedy. Often, they could perceive the possibilities, yet these same paths became unreachable once pursued.

Poseidon, as a god-king, had a rare path before him, no matter how risky it was. Even though the road ahead was perilous, filled with the unknown and potential disaster, it was a path all the same. And so, Poseidon chose to move forward without hesitation, aware of the possible dangers but undeterred.

"After coming this far," he murmured, "there's no turning back now. So, what lies ahead? What will become of the Mythological World?"

He stared into the distance, as if looking through Atlantis, beyond the Sea Realm, observing the entire world. Poseidon didn't know what he was looking for, only that turning back wasn't an option. Whatever awaited, he had to keep moving forward on this path.

Then, an eerie silence blanketed the Mythological World, as if every god, every being, had suddenly halted, unsure of what had just transpired.

Dark energy!

It erupted.

The gods, after a moment of hesitation, quickly realized what had happened: a surge of dark energy had burst forth. But this eruption felt far beyond anything they'd encountered before—Poseidon's own bursts of dark energy had been nothing in comparison.

"What?!" Mephistopheles, wandering the surface world, stopped in his tracks, looking upward with shock. "This is… the presence of a dark god? Has Poseidon fully become a dark god?"

Mephistopheles knew well the aura of dark gods. He had spent time in the Sea of Chaos and knew well the nature of these beings, their dark essence. And what he sensed now was unusual.

"This…" he murmured. "It's a strange fusion… a blend of divine and dark god energy?"

Only after a moment of thought did Mephistopheles understand what he was sensing. Poseidon had somehow melded the essence of a dark god with that of a god.

Mephistopheles could hardly believe it. Poseidon had actually fused the energies of a god and a dark god? This level of synthesis was unheard of.

However, despite his shock, Mephistopheles soon dismissed the thought. To him, Poseidon's path was of little consequence. His loyalties lay with Hades, the King of the Underworld. Whatever Poseidon did, however far he advanced, it was ultimately irrelevant to him.

He resumed his own task, continuing his work of contracting the souls of heroes across the earth. For Mephistopheles, these efforts were far more important than pondering Poseidon's strange transformation.

But in that moment, the surge of dark energy from the Sea Realm seemed to throw the entire Mythological World into turmoil.

It wasn't a joke; the gods could feel it deeply.

It was as if the entire Mythological World had fallen silent, gripped by a strange and unsettling sensation. Was this… anger?

The gods, stunned and silent, found it hard to believe. Could the Mythological World itself actually feel anger? That was impossible, wasn't it?

The Mythological World was thought to be a vast, impassive construct, akin to an artificial intelligence with no emotions. But now, this world, this seemingly emotionless force, appeared to radiate fury.

This was an unimaginable reality for the gods. They had always believed that the Mythological World was indifferent, a neutral stage where gods acted out their struggles. Yet now, they were sensing something that defied everything they had thought possible.

The world trembled, as though driven by an unknown wrath, and the next moment, the Sea Realm was completely sealed off.

A terrifying force swept over, locking the Sea Realm away entirely. Every part of it was cut off from the rest of the Mythological World. The scene returned to calm as if nothing had happened.

Yet the more placid things seemed, the more horrifying and unsettling the situation became.
