Chapter 490: Chapter 490: Hades’ Own Gains, the Pinnacle of an Ancient God, Creation God? Merely Within Reach (Bonus Chapter 5)
Lord of the Sky.
Heaven and Earth.
Earth, Water, Fire, Wind.
Indeed!
This was Hades' grand design for the seven new god-kings of the Underworld.
"Dismissed," Hades said.
"Yes!"
The seven gods respectfully withdrew, each one's body enveloped in a glowing light, symbolizing the new divine powers now rooted within them.
From here—
These powers would soon grow and blossom.
"Hmm…"
Hestia murmured to herself, "The Underworld now has seven more god-king level deities. Incredible! Truly, my little brother is unlike any other; even Father lacked this capability."
She chuckled with pride, practically glowing with delight, as if she had achieved it all herself.
Well—
What can I say?
At this moment—
Hestia, though a goddess of considerable power, acted like a puppy sheltering behind a mighty master, enjoying a bit of borrowed confidence. Although it might not sound flattering, this was indeed the impression Hestia gave.
"Hehehe…"
Persephone covered her mouth, laughing softly. "Sister, this behavior of yours isn't great. If word got out, others might find it a little strange."
"Bah!"
Hestia waved dismissively, "It doesn't matter! I don't care what anyone thinks. Besides, no matter what happens, my brother is here. I have nothing to fear!"
Hands on her hips, she looked impossibly pleased with herself.
Persephone couldn't help but chuckle and shake her head, saying, "Regardless, the growth of the World Tree this time has greatly benefited the Underworld. Besides adding seven god-kings, this alone has elevated our power tremendously."
"Actually—
"This alone has already brought an immeasurable boost to the Underworld."
Seven god-kings!
Now, the Underworld had fifteen god-kings, with two of them already on par with Typhon's power.
One could only imagine how terrifying this was.
The Underworld's strength would rise to an unmatched level—no doubt about it. Just considering it shows how formidable the Underworld would become.
This underscored—
That the Underworld's power had begun to exceed the bounds of the mythological world itself. Now, the Underworld was on the brink of truly standing apart from the mythological world.
This statement—
Was no exaggeration.
It could be said—
The Underworld had indeed reached this point, beginning its separation from the mythological world. And in the future, what heights would this power reach?
Unknown.
No one knew.
Because—
It was an unknown variable. As long as Hades continued to grow, the Underworld would continue its unknown trajectory.
With Hades on the throne, this alone assured their future. And each goddess present—Persephone, Hestia, Rhea, Eris, Pandora—had complete faith in it.
As for the reason?
No reason was needed!
Just the presence of Hades on the throne was proof enough of everything to come.
This alone spoke of Hades' future brilliance and power.
And this—
Was enough. That was the core of it. Everything else was simply unnecessary.
…
In the Heavenly Realm of the Underworld—
Hemera arrived, quietly surveying her surroundings, and murmured, "My lord! I will not disappoint you."
"From this day forth," Hades' voice echoed throughout the Underworld, "Hemera shall be the Lord of Heaven."
At that moment—
All the gods heard Hades' words, and they fell into a hushed silence.
Simultaneously—
An incomparable divine power burst from Hemera, signaling her ascension to god-king.
With her elevation—
The restrained power within her body surged forth, combining divine might and world power.
In an instant—
An endless stream of divine power radiated from Hemera as she swiftly rose to a power level rivaling Mephistopheles.
And there—
Her growth paused. She controlled her divine energy, holding back the surging forces within herself.
Hemera understood that her mastery of her power had not yet caught up with its strength.
For now—
She would need time and stability to fully integrate and control the divine power within her.
"Hemera,"
Ether, her voice filled with quiet admiration, approached. "You've finally reached this stage."
"Ether."
Hemera smiled and replied, "Indeed, but all this is due to our lord's blessings. Without him, I would never have come this far."
Hemera shook her head gently. "By my own efforts, even if I exhausted my very soul, I could never have reached this level."
Hemera sighed softly.
She knew her own limitations.
If she had relied only on herself, even her lifetime's worth of effort would not have brought her to god-king. This wasn't an exaggeration.
This was the gap between gods. Had she not become Hades' deity, she would have been as powerless as those gods struggling in the wars between species.
Even if it filled her with bitterness—
Even if it filled her with frustration—
The outcome would have been the same. It was a fate she could not change.
"Hehehe…" Ether smiled and said, "Nevertheless, Hemera, you've made it this far. But you must stabilize quickly. I sense that after this brief peace, things will shift again."
"Hmm?"
Hemera frowned slightly. "What have you sensed?"
"As the Lord of the Astral Realm," Ether explained, "I can feel unusual activity in the stars. But whatever it is, our lord is undoubtedly aware of it. That's why, although he has said nothing, we must make our preparations."
"Understood!"
Hemera nodded solemnly.
Then—
Hemera went on to establish her own Hell. Every god-king in the Underworld needed to create their own Hell, whether it seemed necessary or not.
This—
Was not an option.
Each new Hell added depth to the Underworld's foundations, strengthening it.
…
Hypnos.
Thanatos.
The twin gods sensed the power now flowing into them.
"…"
At that moment—
The twin gods fell silent, feeling somewhat at a loss for words.
Truly—
When they began, they thought attaining mastery over the realms of Heaven, Earth, Sea, Underworld, or Stars and achieving god-king status would be enough.
But—
They never imagined that within the framework of the Underworld's World Tree, the powers of Heaven and Earth would be entrusted to them.
It left them in awe.
The twins were struck silent, unsure of what to say or how to respond.
"Thanatos."
Hypnos regained his calm and said firmly, "No matter what, we must not fail to meet our lord's expectations! Our first priority is to truly attain the level of god-king and to swiftly master this power."
"Naturally!"
Thanatos replied, his expression proud. "As one of our lord's deities, if we can't even accomplish this, I am unworthy of the power of Earth!"
"Let's go."
"Yes!"
The twins departed.
Unlike Hemera, who was immediately endowed with her title as Lord of the Sky—
Hypnos and Thanatos would need time to attune themselves to the powers of Heaven and Earth. Of course, this was no challenge for them.
After all—
These powers were given to them by Hades. If they couldn't master them, that would be surprising.
Because of this—
The twins needed only time to quickly and progressively gain full mastery and ascend to the level of god-king.
Meanwhile—
The Supreme Four Pillars had similar work ahead.
For Baal, Baimon, Astaroth, and Asmodeus, their task was to master the powers of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind, and thus step into the god-king level themselves.
"…"
Baal, Baimon, Astaroth, and Asmodeus—
The Four Pillars—
Gathered together.
Baal broke the silence. "Baimon, Astaroth, Asmodeus, we all know our lord has entrusted us with the powers of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. We must master them without delay, so we do not disappoint him."
"Naturally!"
Astaroth responded confidently. "These are gifts from our lord. If we cannot master them, we might as well be dead!"
Truthfully—
As the highest combat forces among the Underworld gods, the Four Pillars rarely participated in direct affairs, not even as much as Mephistopheles.
The reason was simple.
The Seventy-Two Demon Pillars formed the backbone of the World Tree in the Underworld, maintaining its balance and fulfilling countless tasks necessary for its operation.
Thus—
They rarely involved themselves in other matters. For Hades, involving the Seventy-Two Demons at will in the Greek mythological world was unnecessary.
And now—
The Supreme Four Pillars had received the gift of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind from their lord, proving he had never forgotten them.
For their loyalty and gratitude, the Four Pillars were determined to rise.
For them, there was no other option but to press forward with all they had. It was the core of their purpose.
So—
The Underworld's new ascent sent all its gods into disciplined silence, each one training diligently to fully grasp the power the World Tree had given them.
Meanwhile—
In the Pure Land, Hades slowly closed his eyes, calmly channeling his divine power. The boundless energy within him churned and grew, expanding gradually.
The Ultimate Power.
At this moment—
Hades' unique Ultimate Power flowed rapidly,
and in the serene Pure Land, the goddesses had all taken their leave—even Persephone.
Now—
A profound silence filled the Pure Land, ensuring Hades had the tranquility he needed to organize his gains.
