I Am Raditz

Raditz's frenzied energy barrage wasn't meant to damage Frieza—it was intended to create a massive smoke screen from the explosions, blocking Frieza's vision.

After all, Frieza couldn't sense energy signatures, so if he could only judge positions with his eyes, he'd be at least somewhat disoriented.

Meanwhile, Piccolo, who had regained consciousness, led Gohan and the group of Namekians in a hasty evacuation. Tumat also blended into the crowd as they fled.

Raditz continued buying time, his energy waves causing half the island to sink beneath the sea.

Suddenly, a sharp sound pierced the sky, sending chills through Raditz.

Swish!

A purple-red energy whip sliced through the island, splitting it in two and even cutting the sea's surface into separate halves. Endless seawater rushed into the gap, violently filling it before converging again. The remaining power extended beyond the visible horizon, as if threatening to split the entire planet—only Frieza was capable of such destruction.

Raditz froze, knowing his efforts were futile. Frieza had succeeded.

During the energy bombardment, Frieza had endured silently while initiating his final transformation! He had now completely transformed into his ultimate form...

Frieza, however, was furious. He never expected Raditz to possess power exceeding his third form, much less landing such a powerful punch. What humiliation! In his anger, he decided to end the battle immediately by transforming into his final form.

Just as he had begun the transformation, Raditz's frenzied bombardment had started. Frieza could only complete his metamorphosis while under attack, finally achieving the final step.

His complete form was smooth and streamlined, without fancy horns or spikes, yet his strength was unmatched. Not only was he immensely powerful, but also unimaginably fast...

In the blink of an eye, he appeared in front of Goku.

"Fancy meeting you here. Where do you think you're going?" Frieza's eyes narrowed as he smiled, the expression almost terrifying.

No one dared speak. Everyone broke into a cold sweat as Goku gritted his teeth and tried to rush away, only to be kicked by Frieza and sent flying back!

The tremendous force struck Goku's chest, sending him rocketing like a cannonball. Piccolo attempted to catch him but couldn't match the unexpected velocity. Goku crashed somewhere in the distant mountains.

"Ah..." The remaining Namekians, possessing no fighting ability, were paralyzed with fear.

Frieza's laughter grew more horrifying as he swiftly moved his fingers, firing a slender purple beam that pierced through the Namekian elder's head! Blood sprayed everywhere, brain matter and organs exploding across the faces of nearby Namekians. Having never witnessed the death of their companions so brutally up close, they screamed in terror, their minds reeling as their bodies trembled.

Frieza, as if discovering the most entertaining game, continued firing, piercing another Namekian's body.

"Who's next?" He kept moving his finger between them, selecting targets while seemingly enjoying their expressions of confusion and fear.

The air grew colder as an endless killing atmosphere descended from the sky.

"This child appears to be from Earth... Kakarot's son? A Saiyan hybrid?!" Frieza noticed the unconscious Gohan, his scarlet eyes flickering with excitement. Brutal energy radiated from his entire body. "You're next!"

"Frieza, stop!" Raditz rushed in from the side, attacking with full force. The red aura surrounding him blazed like a scorching sun as he charged toward Frieza.

Frieza didn't dare meet the high-speed collision head-on. Having just transformed, he hadn't fully adjusted to his new form. Moreover, he hadn't used this transformation for some time and needed to reacquaint himself with its capabilities.

Currently, Raditz's combat power might be around 400,000 to 500,000—nearly matching Frieza's level.

So Frieza chose to dodge, evading Raditz's furious charge. He darted to the side, out of Raditz's path, but Raditz adjusted with surprising agility and pursued him again.

One fled while the other gave chase, the distance between them shrinking. Seeing that he couldn't avoid confrontation, Frieza turned to face his opponent.

"Don't think I fear you!" Frieza snarled, clenching both fists as he charged forward!

In Raditz's understanding, Frieza's Nova Strike was a technique used at full power—an extremely powerful attack capable of matching even Super Saiyan Goku's Kamehameha Wave without disadvantage.

Though he didn't want a direct confrontation, his momentum couldn't be halted now.

Raditz had no choice but to commit fully, roaring as he collided with Frieza.

The two energy auras contained immense power as they crashed together. Surrounding clouds vaporized instantly, seawater scattered in all directions, and the island itself began breaking apart—as if the world had reached its end. Under the immense pressure, the air swirled into countless small tornadoes, while explosive thunder connected heaven and earth!

"BOOM!"

The energy blast drove into the ground, creating a massive crater. A large area of land around it simply ceased to exist, and countless clouds of dust filled the air.

When the chaos settled, Frieza remained standing.

Raditz had already lost his Kaio-ken state and lay limp on the ground, blood covering his mouth and filling his throat. He had barely managed to confront Frieza using the high-powered Kaio-ken, but it was only "barely" enough.

Hundreds of thousands of combat power truly meant nothing before the emperor of the universe...

Frieza looked at Raditz with narrowed eyes, smiling appreciatively.

This kind of smile—even Captain Ginyu only received it for a second or two as an act of charity. Now Frieza smiled genuinely as he extended his hand.

"Raditz, I must say, I acknowledge your impressive power, far surpassing even Ginyu. Your strength might be second only to mine in the universe. But it remains far from sufficient to challenge me..." He paused, placing his foot on Raditz's chest before continuing, "So, I'll give you another chance to become my subordinate, and I'll spare your life. This is my appreciation for talent—something you've earned through your strength."

Another recruitment attempt—Frieza truly valued talent, Raditz thought with an internal chuckle. But with Frieza's character, death would be inevitable sooner or later. Moreover, every cell in his Saiyan body screamed "no."

Raditz shook his head slightly and slipped a Senzu Bean into his mouth. At this critical moment, he might experience a breakthrough through his Saiyan instinct!

With the miraculous Senzu Beans in hand, he could fight again!

Less than two seconds after swallowing the bean, Raditz's body fully recovered. Fresh strength surged through him, all pain vanishing instantly. Frieza was shocked as a tremendous force erupted from beneath his foot, sending him flying!

"Sorry, Frieza—I'm a Saiyan!"
