I Am Raditz

Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Cooler's Ambition Awakens

In the vast darkness of space, far from any inhabited world, several elite space scientists worked frantically in a dimly lit secret room. They processed data and ran diagnostics on their equipment repeatedly, their attention focused on the only illuminated screen in the room. It displayed footage of a fierce battle unfolding in the Northern Galaxy.

Frieza fighting against the Namekians and Saiyans.

The screen showed several confrontations between the opposing forces. The Saiyans and Namekians underwent multiple transformations, growing extraordinarily powerful. Finally, a Super Namekian emerged and defeated Frieza with a single devastating blow.

The footage continued, showing Frieza being blasted into space and swallowed by a planetary explosion. Minutes later, the screen displayed the spectacular fireworks of Planet Namek's destruction.

Standing proudly before the screen was a figure remarkably similar to Frieza's final form. He held a wine glass delicately between his fingers. His body was purple with ivory-white bone structures protruding from his shoulders, wrists, and ankles. His scarlet eyes were identical to Frieza's.

Frieza's elder brother, Cooler.

"King Cooler, the transmission ends here. Our reconnaissance equipment was destroyed in the explosion as well."

"That idiot Frieza actually left survivors when he wiped out the Saiyans. He practically dug his own grave," Cooler said, his lips curling upward slightly. His tone mixed anger with mockery. "I never expected those wild monkeys could actually evolve to such a level. And as for the Namekians..." Cooler's voice suddenly trailed off, his expression growing strange as he stared at the fragmented footage after the explosion. His eyes narrowed slightly. "Probably not dead yet!"

"King Cooler! We've detected a life sign!"

"Who?"

"It's... it's Lord Frieza! Lord Frieza is still alive!" exclaimed the alien officer with a bird-like face.

"Is that so? He's quite lucky. Any news from my father?"

"King Cold hasn't received word of Lord Frieza's defeat yet."

"Inform him." Cooler's narrowed eyes gleamed. "Make sure Father knows exactly who did this. Also, send a team to recover Frieza. Bring him to me to recuperate."

The guard beside him wanted to speak but held back. They knew that when King Cooler gave an order, it was absolutely unquestionable. He possessed the inherent arrogance of the Frost Demon family, but compared to his younger brother Frieza and father King Cold, he was somewhat more composed and cautious.

Because of this, Cooler commanded much more respect among his subordinates than Frieza did. If Frieza hadn't underestimated his enemies and let his guard down, he wouldn't have ended up in this state. Cooler would never make such a mistake.

Still, the guards were puzzled. The two brothers had never gotten along well, often quarreling over territory in the universe. Now King Cooler was actually sending someone to bring Frieza back. Could he be extending an olive branch to mend their brotherly relationship?

Cooler gave a sinister smirk, his pupils glowing brightly. "Do as I say. Don't question my orders."

"Yes, sir!" The subordinate immediately snapped to attention, standing straight as a lance.

Cooler had read their thoughts perfectly. His gaze was terrifyingly penetrating, as if he could see straight through to their souls. Cooler possessed an overwhelming presence that made everyone tremble and bow before him.

"Then... then, Your Majesty, shall we avenge Lord Frieza and destroy those hateful Saiyans and Namekians?"

"No. The Saiyans are probably all dead, and there's only one Namekian left. We'll deal with them later. There are more pressing matters. Slug also died in this battle. His territory is substantial—if I can take it all over, my influence will grow considerably."

What Cooler cared about wasn't revenge at all, but expanding his territory. In his view, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Seizing a large amount of territory in one move was far more practical than fighting for honor.

His power far exceeded Frieza's, and with just one additional transformation, his strength would double.

The Saiyans weren't even worth Cooler's attention. As for the Super Namekian, however, Cooler was quite interested.

For many years, no one had been able to truly challenge his family. Even those space overlords who boasted extraordinary strength couldn't stop the Cold family from dominating the universe. It was rare for a truly powerful opponent to appear, and this sparked Cooler's passion.

"Once the territory is secured, I'll definitely settle the score with the Namekian."

The corners of Cooler's mouth curved upward into a sinister smile. He squeezed his wine glass until it shattered, purple-red liquid splashing across his hands. The sudden action startled everyone around him.

Whenever King Cooler destroyed something, even accidentally, it meant the urge to fight was building within him.

"Prepare my ship. We're heading to the most powerful planet among Slug's forces. I want to capture it myself!"

"You don't need to do that personally, Your Majesty. You could send your elite squad," suggested a hunched alien beside him with a flattering smile.

"Oh?"

In the next second, the alien's head exploded, blood gushing out like a fountain.

Red horror spread instantly throughout the room. Cooler didn't say another word, merely giving everyone a cold glance before turning back to the flickering screen, his tail beating rhythmically against the floor.

That moment felt like a countdown to death, causing everyone to panic and rush to prepare the spaceship immediately.

Salza of the Armored Squadron had just reached the command room door, ready to report, when he saw a group of people filing out with terrified expressions on their faces.

"What happened to you all?"

"Lord Salza, please be careful. The king is angry again. Just now..." A trembling officer described the events to Salza in detail.

"I understand. Get back to work." Salza waved his hand dismissively and continued walking inside.

He secretly sighed at these people's stupidity. If King Cooler used his absolute power to crush Slug's strongest planet—even their mightiest fighters would fall easily—wouldn't Slug's remaining forces immediately surrender? When word spread, panic would ripple through every corner of Slug's territory.

This way, capturing just one planet would have a massive impact, and they'd avoid unnecessary casualties.

Salza entered the command room, and the moment he saw Cooler, he understood something deeper.

King Cooler's body, which hadn't seen real combat in quite some time, was itching for a fight. Even crushing insects would satisfy him right now. Those eyes projected an infinite fighting spirit!

"My lord, I've successfully completed my mission. I've conquered Planet Modong and captured significant labor forces and fighters for our army," Salza reported.

Cooler merely gave a faint "hmm" in acknowledgment. He was like a hunter stalking his prey in secret, ready to pounce...
