I am Thor

Chapter 215: Chapter 215: Make Trouble, Make Trouble!

"Honestly, I think the time is right," Peggy Carter remarked, gazing at the Asgardian city bathed in ethereal moonlight. "A lot of people on the council are already regretting their stance against you. If given a way to backtrack gracefully, they'd abandon the Sokovia Accords in a heartbeat."

Thor listened, leaning casually against the balcony railing. "The entire Western world is outmatched against Wakanda. It's a complete technological mismatch. Like spears against muskets," Peggy continued. "They're not going to cling to that bill much longer. Politicians may be arrogant, but they're not stupid. And they're certainly afraid of death."

Thor smirked. "True. But I've got something better in mind."

Peggy arched an eyebrow. "Better? Care to share?"

Thor opened his mouth to reply, but another voice interjected. "Yes, Thor, do tell." Natalia's teasing tone floated over as she leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, a mischievous smile on her lips.

Thor ignored her and instead asked, "What do you think of Steve Rogers?"

Peggy tilted her head, caught off guard. "Steve? He's brave, noble, selfless—a man of unshakable integrity. He represents the ideals of America in his era. A symbol of justice and hope, even in dark times."

Thor's expression darkened as he listened, his lips twitching. Peggy, noticing his reaction, snapped, "What's with that look? You asked for my opinion! Besides," she added with a smirk, "he's not my type. I prefer men who don't need to be sold for charity."

Natalia laughed outright. Thor tried to stifle a grin but failed, his laughter joining hers.

The next day, Thor strolled across the bustling Asgardian square and spotted Loki loitering near the fountain. A wicked grin spread across his face. "Loki!" he called, walking over.

Loki froze, his shoulders tensing. "I have a terrible feeling about this," he muttered under his breath before forcing a wary smile. "Brother, what brings you here? Surely it's not to inflict more misery upon me?"

Thor clapped him on the back. "Come now, Loki. I thought you might want to get out for a bit. Stretch your legs."

Loki narrowed his eyes. "If you're trying to lure me into some harebrained scheme, save it. I know how this ends—with you being praised as a hero while I take the blame for whatever chaos ensues."

Thor laughed, unbothered. "You wound me! This time, you won't have to lift a finger. Just plan the mischief—leave the dirty work to someone else."

Loki looked skeptical but intrigued. "Plan mischief, you say?"

Thor nodded enthusiastically. "Exactly! And this time, it's for the greater good. To save the world, no less."

Loki's eyes narrowed further. "The world? Isn't it in dire straits mostly because of you?"

Thor waved off the comment. "Details, details. Are you in or not? A prince of Asgard can't sit idly by while the world burns. What kind of man would that make you?"

Loki groaned. "Fine! I'll help. But I swear, Thor, if this backfires…"

"Excellent!" Thor beamed. "Now, hand over the Tesseract."

Loki blinked. "Excuse me?"

"You said you could leave Asgard anytime, didn't you?" Thor smirked, holding out his hand expectantly.

Loki sighed, grumbling under his breath as he reluctantly handed over the cube. "I hate you."

"Love you too, little brother."

On Earth, the Wakandan army continued its relentless assault, spreading chaos across continents. Europe was a smoldering war zone, with cities falling to sporadic bombings and raids. Elderly citizens whispered of echoes from seventy years ago, memories of another brutal war brought to life once more.

Even the Gallic Rooster, known for its swift surrenders, found no reprieve. Wakanda had no interest in negotiating with collaborators or opportunists; they were dealt with just as swiftly as the resistance.

Meanwhile, in the United States—the self-proclaimed world superpower—Wakanda's strategy shifted to psychological warfare. They weren't rushing to conquer; they wanted to erode hope piece by piece. Statues of America's founding fathers were demolished across the country, symbols of pride reduced to rubble.

The proud citizens of the nation were furious, but their anger was met with frustration and despair. Against Wakanda's advanced technology, even their most sophisticated defenses crumbled.
