I am Thor

Chapter 216: Chapter 216: Make Big News

The battle on Wakanda's borders ended in a hard-fought victory for the Avengers, but it was a hollow one. Despite their efforts, Erik Killmonger's retreat behind Wakanda's protective shield rendered further advances impossible. Unlike the Avengers, who had limited resources and personnel, Erik's strategy relied on dispersing Wakanda's forces globally, forcing the Avengers to run themselves ragged, fighting fires everywhere.

It was a calculated move, and it worked. While the Avengers scrambled from one crisis to the next, Erik's forces inflicted heavy losses across Europe and the United States. With Wakanda's technological superiority, even nations in full-scale war mode were no match. The Avengers, undermanned and overstretched, could only do so much.

In the dimly lit living room of the Trudheim Manor, Loki lounged on the sofa, flipping through Earth's news channels. His sharp green eyes widened as he took in the scenes of chaos unfolding around the globe.

"I must admit, I never expected such terrifying technological sophistication on a planet so...backwards," Loki said, his voice laced with both admiration and disdain.

Thor, standing by the window, scowled. "There's more to Earth than meets the eye. Their hidden strengths go far beyond technology. Their sorcerers alone are formidable enough to rival Asgard's might."

Loki smirked. "So what is it you want me to do? Wave my hand and end this war?"

Thor turned, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. "Not quite. I need you to make the chaos worse."

"Worse?" Loki arched a suspicious eyebrow. "And how exactly do you propose I do that?"

Thor grinned, his expression devilish. "Simple. Blow up the White House."

Loki stared at him, stunned. "You're serious?"

Thor nodded with satisfaction. "I knew you'd understand."

Loki groaned, rubbing his temples. "Brother, you are playing a dangerous game."

Thor ignored the remark and motioned to the shadows. "How does this place compare to Stormwind City? Do you think you can stir up as much trouble?"

A slender figure stepped into the light, her lips curling into a sly smile. "This is child's play," said Onyxia, her voice dripping with amusement. "This planet is a powder keg waiting to explode. All it needs is the right spark. The people here are weak—one whisper in the right ear, and they'll turn on each other like rabid dogs."

Thor nodded approvingly. "Perfect."

Meanwhile, across the globe, Wakanda's attacks continued unabated. Europe lay in ruins, bombed-out cities reduced to war zones. Elderly citizens whispered of echoes from the horrors of World War II, while younger generations grappled with the reality of modern warfare on their doorstep. Surrender had become the norm, but Wakanda had no interest in mercy. Collaborators and resistors alike faced the same grim fate.

In the United States, Wakanda's campaign of psychological and physical destruction reached its peak. Monuments and symbols of American pride were systematically demolished, leaving the nation reeling. Among the casualties was the Statue of Liberty, obliterated in a single, stunning strike.

For many Americans, this was more than an attack on their homeland—it was a direct assault on their identity. As public outrage boiled over, the president addressed the nation from the White House, his speech broadcast live to the entire world.

"This is a day of shame, not just for the United States, but for the entire civilized world!" he declared, his voice brimming with righteous indignation. "Yesterday, a group of savages destroyed our homes and defiled the Statue of Liberty, the very symbol of freedom and hope."

The president's tone grew sharper, his words dripping with venom. "These so-called revolutionaries claim oppression and discrimination, yet they never reflect on their own failings! Yes, our ancestors enslaved their forebears, but it was their own people who sold them into slavery. We gave them a new home, new opportunities, and even their freedom. And how do they repay us? With greed and violence!"

The speech quickly descended into a tirade of overt racism. "This is a race with no honor, no sense of responsibility, and no contribution to civilization. They've brought nothing but crime, barbarism, and decay. Today, I promise you this: we will fight to our last breath and never surrender to a race of savages!"

The fallout from the president's speech was immediate and global. Headlines screamed across every major news outlet, replaying his incendiary words on a loop. Social media erupted in outrage, condemning the blatant racism on full display. World leaders denounced the United States for its lack of accountability, while protests erupted in cities across the globe.
