I Found a Forbidden SSS-Rank Nanosuit After Being Abandoned

Chapter 7: Chapter 7 - Railgun And Strength Improvement!

[Before leaving the ship, I suggest the host gets used to his new strength,] Uriel's voice echoed through his mind.

Zion nodded, having realized that himself after the railgun almost knocked him off his feet.

Staring up at the metallic figure, he decided to get out of there first.

"It's creepy to stay right beside a corpse the entire time," he mumbled, heading back towards the storage room.

After returning to the storage room, Zion dug into a few more food bars.

"Thinking about it," he said with his mouth full. "You said I'd throw up during the breakthrough."

[Host's pain tolerance is extraordinary for his level,] Uriel said.

"I would hope so," Zion responded, tossing away another wrapper.

Having eaten, he stood up.

"Let's test the railgun out a few more times," he said, a smile appearing on his face.

Zion headed far away from the storage room, not wishing to damage his food in any way.

He came to a halt a hundred feet away, immediately raising his arm and aiming it at a crack in the distance.

"Alright," he muttered, clenching his fist to make the muscles in his forearm tense. "Let's give this another go."

As energy rushed into his forearm, he clenched his teeth against the burning heat building inside.

'I'll have to get used to this,' he thought, gritting his teeth.

After a few seconds, he let loose.

A sharp burst echoed through the room as a glowing blue orb shot from his arm, heading for the wall faster than he could follow.

Stumbling back a few feet, he heard Uriel's voice echo through his head.

[Target missed.]

'I missed by a few feet,' he thought, shaking his head. 'Let's go again.'

Despite the burning pain he felt, Zion repeatedly shot the railgun at the same spot on the wall.

[Target hit. Accuracy 40%.]

'Twelve shots, five hits,' Zion thought, frowning. 'Let's go again.'

[Warning! Suit needs to recharge!] Uriel's voice echoed through his head.

"Recharge?" he asked, wondering if he'd heard it right.

[Host, the suit does not have unlimited energy,] Uriel said, his voice almost sounding sarcastic.

"Alright, alright," Zion said, raising his hands in defeat. "It does make sense. I guess I just hadn't thought about it before."

Looking around, he couldn't help but ask.

"Where can I even charge you? And how?"

[Host needs to head to the main control room to recharge me,] Uriel answered, a sense of urgency in its voice. [I'll explain it when we get there.]

Hearing this, Zion frowned.

"Do I need to go to the main control room every time I need to recharge you?"

[I can be charged practically everywhere,] Uriel responded warmly. [Anything energy-related can be absorbed slowly, even that from the stars.]

Zion let out a sigh of relief, quickly heading to the main control room.

"Say, what would happen if I don't recharge you in time?" he asked as he walked.

[At the early stages, your body would feel very heavy,] Uriel said. [Later on, you won't be able to move until you recharge—or pass away.]

Zion shivered, imagining how that death would feel like.

After fifteen minutes, the main control room's light finally came into view.

As he entered the control room, Uriel guided him to the same table where he'd been injected with the suit.

[Pierce your skin with that tube,] Uriel directed him.

Taking hold of the tube, Zion didn't hesitate, jabbing it straight into his arm.

[Recharging…] Uriel's voice came off mechanically.

Zion sat down on the ground for hours, waiting for Uriel to fully recharge—eventually even falling asleep from exhaustion himself.

[Host, I am fully recharged,] Uriel's voice woke him up.

"Good…" Zion said, his mind still fuzzy.

Letting out a yawn, he stood up.

"Alright," he said, taking out a brown bar to stop his hunger. "Let's do a few training sessions so I can get used to my new strength before we head out of here."

[Sounds good, host!] Uriel's voice echoed cheerfully through his head. [Initializing training mode…]

"…Hey!" Zion sputtered, quickly pushing the remainders of the food bar inside his mouth. "I was still eating!"

[Engaging level six.]

Zion quickly let his sword pierce out from between his knuckles, seeing the shadowy figure appear in front of him.

At the same time, he summoned the black scales to cover his hands.

"Is this what he meant by unique weapons growing with the host?" he muttered, watching the scales spread up to his shoulders.

Before his thoughts could drift off, the shadowy figure dashed toward him.

Zion barely stepped aside in time to dodge the blade.

Instinctively, he swung his sword upward.

His sword crashed against the shadowy figure's one, smashing it out of its hands.

"Huh?" Zion said, surprised.

He didn't let the surprise take over, though. Instead, he pushed forward, cleanly cutting off the figure's head.

"Deactivate training mode," Zion said, staring at the shadowy figure's head on the ground.

[Deactivating training mode…]

Zion retracted his sword, breathing steadily.

'That was… easy,' he thought, baffled.

He knew a breakthrough would increase his physical strength and speed, but he never expected it to be to this degree.

[Host's body was improved to four times its F-rank strength,] Uriel chimed in proudly. [This is far better than a mere S-rank suit, which would only be able to strengthen by three times.]

"Amazing," Zion nodded, pushing out his sword again. "Let's run a few more rounds so I can get used to it."

Like that, Zion spent the next few hours of the day getting used to his new strength and the changes in his unique weapons.

[Recharging…] Uriel's voice sounded through his head as he laid against the metal table.

"Can't believe I beat level eight," Zion muttered, exhausted.

Staring up at the metal ceiling, he raised his hand to the sky.

'I never thought things would end up like this,' he thought, anger flashing through him as he thought about his parents. 'But after I get the resources tomorrow, I'll start my real journey to take revenge on you.'
