I Have a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon System in a World with Pokemon

Early morning the next day, in front of the entrance of Intra Forest.

Dante and Shinobu were sitting in one of the publicly available seats, their bags on the side.

Thinking about his plan for yesterday night that was canceled due to the appointment with Furina and Focalors early today, Dante subconsciously let out a sigh of disappointment. 

Shinobu, who was reading a book beside him, turned her head and gave him an inquiring look.

"Are you alright?"

"It's nothing, just thinking about something yesterday. By the way, don't you have an appointment with Ms. Erika today?"

"It's tomorrow, you dum dum. It will be my second week at her Gym."

"What did she teach last week? Is there some kind of secret practice method to make your Pokemon stronger fast?"

"Hahaha no, beyond some flower arrangement techniques, we haven't really talked much about Pokemon training. However, apprentices in her Gym can use the training equipment for free. We only need to clean up after and do some trivial work."

"That's nice…hey Shinobu, what do you think about moving to a new house with me?"

"Huh?!"

Shinobu's face turned red. L-living together? Just the two of them?! 

"Well, after getting some money yesterday, I want to buy a large house to move in with my parents. It's also so that I won't have to worry about my future Pokemon not being able to fit in. As it is right now, my room is already getting a bit cramped with just Pikachu and Azumarill."

There was also another thing he did not mention to Shinobu. Yesterday after getting back from their date, he noticed a suspicious figure skulking around his house. They tried to run away when he confronted them, but with Dante's speed, it was obviously a futile effort.

Unfortunately, Dante doesn't really know any interrogation methods. When the man kept insisting it was just a coincidence that he was there, Dante wasn't able to do anything. As the commotion had already attracted the attention of the neighbors and nearby people, he had to let him go.

Dante suspected the guy must be someone Richard hired to scout his house. After all, he just got the money and on the same day, someone suspicious suddenly showed up at his residence. Among the people he knows, only someone like Richard has the motive and ability to act that quickly. 

After hearing that Dante's parents will also live with them, Shinobu couldn't help feeling both inexplicably relieved and disappointed.

"I think it's a bit rash to buy a large house right now. The Dean said we will have our own dorms in school, so even if you buy one now, you won't be able to stay for long. My suggestion is, to renovate your current house for now and consider buying a large one after we've graduated."

Dante thought about it and agreed with Shinobu's point. Maybe instead of moving to a more secure location, he just has to make their house more secure. Thinking of their pet Luna, Dante suddenly had a brilliant idea!

'I can bring Luna into the PMD world and strengthen her! However, this would probably slow down our growth by a few weeks. And also, I don't know what would happen if a Pokemon from this world is brought into that world.'

Dante kept this plan in the back of his mind for later as he lay his head on Shinobu's lap and closed his eyes. Shinobu smiled and habitually stroked Dante's hair.

The two fell into comfortable silence. Dante's body relaxed as Shinobu expertly massaged the scalp of his head.

"Did we interrupt something?"

Just when Dante was about to fall asleep, a cheerful voice sounded. Furina and Focalors finally arrived!

"Yawnnn good morning to you too, Furina, Focalors."

Different from yesterday, both of them now wore an identical black wig with black contact lenses. They also wore matching hiking clothes. The only way Dante can even tell the difference between them is that Furina has short hair while Focalors has long hair.

"Our apologies, did you two wait long?"

"It's alright, you're right on time. Me and Shinobu are just accustomed to arriving much earlier than the appointed time. Do you guys want to take a rest first?"

"No need, it's already rude of us to make the both of you wait."

Dante shrugged as he stood up and led the way. 

The twin sisters felt a sense of trepidation and excitement as they entered the forest grounds. It was the first time they entered the forest without the accompaniment of their father or a guard. 

Their sense of trepidation slowly turned into wonder as Pokemon scurried towards Dante and Shinobu, running around them. Some of the braver ones even climbed onto Dante's shoulders.

Different from the Pokemon in the dungeon, the Pokemon in this forest are only shy and wary of strangers. With Dante being able to communicate with them as well as not hurting them, after his constant visits, they gradually began to warm up to his presence.

"Hey Skwovet, you've become a lot fatter lately."

He teased the Skwovet on his shoulders, feeding it with the Pokemon food that he bought yesterday.

"The Pokemon here really like the two of you."

Furina looked longingly at the Lillipup on the ground. When she tried to pet it, however, it instantly backed away, leaving her feeling speechless.

"It's all thanks to Dante's ability to communicate with them. When I came here for the first time, I was just as surprised as the two of you."

"Hahaha, they're just a little shy. Here, try giving them some food. I'm sure they'll also warm up to the two of you."

With food in hand and Dante's presence, Furina was successfully able to stroke Lillipup's head. Other Pokemon also came over after seeing this, making her laugh in delight.

The four of them circled around the outer area for the rest of the morning, taking pictures and playing with the friendly Pokemon. 

Other Trainers who encountered them took a double take after seeing a Pseudo-Legendary Dragonair and a Shiny Azumarill with them. Some were even able to recognize Dante and Focalors.

After last night, a video regarding their battle spread wildly on the Pokenet. Dante's messenger was even barraged by his friends and previous classmates after they recognized him as one of the people in the video. He had to mute it to fall asleep.

As they continued their trek, they began to meet the aggressive and territorial Pokemon that attacked on sight. For those Pokemon, Focalors let Furina handle some of them.

Furina aspires to become a Pokemon Coordinator. And while she has exceptional talent in combining various moves to make them appear stunning, she has little experience in combat against other Pokemon. 

Battles between Pokemon Coordinators are usually determined through the use of appealing moves to fight with an opposing Pokemon. However, while making the moves gorgeous is important, it won't matter as much if the Pokemon is defeated before the judging phase begins.

"Marin, it looks like it's up to us now. Let's show them what we've got!"

"Sea!"

"Tourbillon glacial!" (Chilling Whirlpool!)

Horsea inhaled deeply for a second before letting out a continuous spray of water from its mouth. The stream of water spun under Horsea's control until it finally turned into a massive whirlpool. 

The Beedrills who were the target of this attack had no way to escape from this move. Seeing the water getting closer and closer, they tried to rush directly through it and attack Horsea who was behind. However, the moment they touched the whirlpool, they instantly began to feel cold all over. 

Their strength was sapped from their body and they were unable to escape from the water's pull, leading them to be dragged along the water current. They continued spinning continuously for a solid minute.

After Furina's signal, Horsea stopped her movement. The whirlpool began to turn into ice particles starting from the outermost side, showering glitters of ice that reflected the sun's rays. 

The three clapped in admiration as Furina and Horsea gave a bow in their direction.

Later, under Furina and Focalor's explanation, Dante learned the mechanism behind the move.

It turns out Horsea combined three moves to achieve this result: Chilling Water, Icy Wind, and Whirlpool.

Chilling Water is a Water-type special attack that showers the opponent with water at near-freezing temperature to sap the opponent's strength. Meanwhile, Icy Wind is an Ice-type special attack that uses a gust of cold air to lower their speed.

By replacing the water used in Whirlpool with Chilling Water, combined with a gust of Icy Wind on the surface of the Whirlpool, it ensures all those that are hit by this attack would have a hard time escaping from being dragged by the Whirlpool.

In the end, the moment the water stops moving, the layer of Icy Wind on the surface of the Whirlpool will turn the near-freezing water into ice starting from the outside. 

Furina and Horsea practiced very hard to ensure it turned into glitters of ice at the end instead of just a large chunk of ice.

Although this move looks powerful, the energy consumed by just one attack is also huge! Currently, Horsea can only maintain it for two minutes before being forced to cancel the attack due to exhaustion.

At lunchtime, they decided to set up the picnic table Dante brought under the shade of a tree. Their location was surrounded by a lush field of grass with the river that was just 10 feet away from their location making the atmosphere feel a little cooler. 

Dante also took out the fruit salad he prepared and put it on the table. With the space inside his Space Bag, he was able to fit all of it in with plenty of room still to spare.

The girls followed suit and placed the dishes they made. Furina took out a baked macaroni and cheese, Focalors a tuna sandwich, and Shinobu made onigiris with different fillings.

Among the three, Dante especially liked Shinobu's onigiris the best. It may be because as an Asian, he was used to eating rice for lunch. Lunch without rice can only be considered as a snack at best. 

"This is so delicious!"

"Hmm~ this is one of the most delectable fruit salads I've ever eaten!"

"The acidity of the apples were able to optimally balance the sweetness of the berries and the cream. The fruits are also cut into just the right size such that you can feel their crispness with every bite. Dan, you have to teach me how to make this!"

Shinobu's eyes sparkled as she grabbed her lover's hand. As someone who enjoys learning new skills, she definitely won't let this opportunity pass up.

Dante chuckled and agreed. His technique for making this dish came from Chimecho, who happily taught him her cooking skills after he expressed his curiosity. In addition, the apples and berries he used as ingredients were from the PMD world.

With the large space in Dante's Space Bag, he took most of the items stored in Kangaskhan's storage and put them inside, allowing him to try making something like this in the morning.

Soon, the fruit salad was emptied, with most of it eaten by the girls and their Pokemon. Only Pikachu and Dante, who are already accustomed to eating something like that, focused more on eating the other dishes.

After resting for a while, everyone continued their trek through the forest. This time, they planned to go to the inner area of the forest.
