Chapter 119: One Roof
Uncle Li's car wouldn't arrive until tomorrow morning, and the key to her villa was left at home.
So, Zhi Ying had no choice but to stay here with Jiang Wei.
Although there is no one in the villa because of the Lantern Festival, the Jiang family hired an aunt to come over and clean it regularly, so for someone to stay in the guest room, they only needed to take out a quilt and spread it.
This was easy to solve.
The only difficulty was that Zhi Ying had no change of clothes.
What was more, was that they walked on the mountain road all afternoon, so it wouldn't make sense if she didn't shower.
"Ying Ying, can you wear this first for tonight?" Jiang Wei took out a new shirt and pants from his closet. He had already sent a text message to Uncle Li, asking him to bring a set of clothes over tomorrow.
It was barely acceptable to wear to sleep, but Zhi Ying didn't care about these things at all. She would wear her own pajamas until there were holes in them without changing them, unless Lin Xiuyu found out.
Then, she would get an earful of a scolding for being unable to take care of herself...
"...ing? Ying?"
Just as she was lost in thought, she was snapped back to the present by Jiang Wei who led her into the bathroom, pointed out the hygiene products for her, and then went to the guest room to spread the quilt by himself.
But after the spreading was finished, he took out the remote control from the drawer and tried to turn on the air conditioner, only to find that the air conditioner was broken.
Jiang Wei stood under the air conditioner and looked at it for a while, trying to figure out why it wasn't working.
Only after trying to explore a little did he discover that the wire of the air conditioner had snapped for some reason.
After taking a look at the not-so-thick quilt, Jiang Wei frowned and went out. He wanted to find out if there were other thicker quilts.
After searching a lot, including the wardrobes of all the rooms, he unfortunately found no extra quilts.
The layout of this villa was prepared by his mother. She never once thought that other people would come stay here.
This kind of house was just a place for Jiang Wei to keep himself healthy. Naturally, there was no need to keep so many quilts, and it would be fine if the couple came to sleep in one room.
As for the guest room Zhi Ying wanted to stay in now, it was only furnished because Jiang Wei's mother bought an extra quilt back then.
"I've finished washing." Zhi Ying came out of the bathroom with wet hair.
Jiang Wei saw her hair dripping from afar and immediately walked down. "There is a hair dryer inside."
He had expected her to see it and then dry her hair.
"I didn't pay attention," Zhi Ying casually said, sitting on the sofa and looking at her phone. Just now Qin Li sent a long paragraph of text, which should be about mathematics-related issues.
Jiang Wei, on the other hand, had no choice but to go to the bathroom and bring out the hair dryer.
"I'll help you," he said.
Although Zhi Ying wiped her hair with a towel, water droplets kept slipping down. Jiang Wei gently lifted her hair with one hand, and with the other hand, turned on the hair dryer to the smallest setting, and slowly blew it.
By the time Jiang Wei dried her hair, Zhi Ying had already finished the problems sent by Qin Li.
As usual, she was too absorbed when it came to Mathematics that she didn't care about anything else until she finished it.
"Where do I sleep?" Zhi Ying stood and asked.
Jiang Wei was silent for a while. "Ying, the air conditioner in the guest room is broken, you go sleep in my bedroom."
"Then where do you sleep?" Zhi Ying was at a loss, "Is there no other guest room for me to sleep in?"
Jiang Wei shook his head. "The other guest rooms are empty." There wasn't even a bed.
In the end, Zhi Ying was led into Jiang Wei's bedroom, and she couldn't help but observe the interior decorations.
Before coming in, she just sat by the bay window and looked outside, Zhi Ying hadn't paid much attention to his room.
All her thoughts had been on the afterglow of the setting sun outside.
"Do I sleep here?" Zhi Ying asked naturally after scanning the room with her eyes darting across.
Seeing Jiang Wei nodding, Zhi Ying unceremoniously lifted the quilt and got in, and even patted her other side.
"Go take a shower, and sleep here later!"
Jiang Wei smiled softly, picked up his clothes and walked to the bathroom.
Zhi Ying rolled around on the bed twice. Although she was a bit rough, she had to get used to the new bed.
Jiang Wei's quilt seemed to be stained with his breath. It smelled bitter and fresh, and it smelled very good.
It took a long time for Jiang Wei to come out of the bathroom. He walked into the bedroom topless. Zhi Ying, who was still thinking about math problems, was taken aback for a while.
Of course she wasn't much shy at all.
Zhi Ying was just a little surprised when she noticed Jiang Wei's chest was not thin but actually well-defined and couldn't help but curiously ask, "Do you exercise secretly?"
It was no wonder Zhi Ying asked this question. The main reason was that Jiang Wei, during his freshman and sophomore years, didn't go out for activities at all. He only participated once.
Jiang Wei was taken aback, apparently not understanding what Zhi Ying meant.
After Zhi Ying finished speaking, she also felt that something was inappropriate, so she withdrew her eyes, and with a 'snap', she covered herself with the quilt.
Then came a dull voice from under the quilt: "Sleep!"
