Chapter 56: Confrontation - 3

The battlefield lay in eerie silence, the aftermath of Raizel's overwhelming power evident in the fallen foes scattered across the ground.

He had dispatched most of the enemy forces with a grace that belied the ferocity of his strength, leaving only a few stragglers for the others to handle.

As the remaining fighters engaged in their skirmishes, Raizel chose to step back, his gaze shifting to the unfolding clash between Vali and Azazel.

Vali, the White Dragon Emperor, had launched a surprise attack on Azazel, his movements swift and calculated.

The air crackled with energy as Vali unleashed a barrage of powerful strikes, each one aimed with precision.

Azazel, however, was no slouch; he countered with his own formidable abilities, dodging and weaving through the onslaught with a playful smirk on his face.

"Is that all you've got, Vali?" Azazel taunted, his voice light despite the intensity of the battle. "I expected more from the White Dragon Emperor!"

Vali's eyes narrowed, determination etched on his features. "I'm just getting started, Azazel! You won't be able to dodge forever!"

As their fight escalated, Raizel remained a silent observer, his presence a calm amidst the chaos.

He felt a familiar warmth beside him and turned to see Akeno land gracefully at his side, her expression a mix of concern and admiration.

"Are you okay, Raizel?" Akeno asked, her voice soft as she took his hand in hers, intertwining their fingers. "You've been through a lot."

Raizel smiled at her, feeling a sense of comfort wash over him. "I'm fine, Akeno. Just watching the show. It's interesting to see how they handle their rivalry."

Akeno glanced over at the fierce battle, her brow furrowing slightly. "It's intense. Do you think Issei's will be alright?"

"Vali is strong. But they can handle themselves," Raizel reassured her, his gaze returning to the fight. "Besides, it's good for them to push each other. It helps them grow."

As they watched, Azazel continued to dodge Vali's attacks with a mix of agility and flair, his movements almost dance-like.

"You'll have to do better than that if you want to catch me!" he called out, a teasing lilt in his voice.

Vali gritted his teeth, frustration evident. "Stop playing around, Azazel! This is serious!"

Raizel chuckled softly, glancing down at Akeno. "Looks like Azazel is enjoying himself."

"Typical Azazel," Akeno replied, shaking her head with a smile. "Always the joker, even in battle."

Feeling a sudden burst of creativity, Raizel decided to conjure up some snacks and beverages to lighten the mood.

With a flick of his wrist, a small table appeared beside them, adorned with an array of treats.

He had prepared matcha-flavored mochi, soft and chewy with a hint of sweetness, and strawberry shortcake, layers of fluffy sponge cake filled with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

To drink, he had created sparkling peach lemonade, refreshing and bubbly, perfect for the warm atmosphere.

"Here, I thought you might like some," Raizel said, offering Akeno a piece of the strawberry shortcake.

Azazel, who had been watching the interaction with a bemused expression, couldn't help but tease.

"Look at you, Noblesse! While the others are fighting, you're over here playing chef. I didn't know you had such domestic skills!"

Raizel shot Azazel a playful glare. "this is magic, you know. Just because I'm not fighting doesn't mean I can't enjoy the moment."

Akeno giggled, her cheeks slightly flushed. "He's right! It's nice to take a break and enjoy some good food."

"Food and a beautiful girl by your side? You really are living the dream, aren't you?" Azazel continued, a teasing grin on his face.

Raizel felt a warmth spread through him at Azazel's words, and he glanced at Akeno, who was blushing slightly. "I'm just lucky to have Akeno with me," he replied, squeezing her hand gently.

Akeno smiled back, her heart fluttering at his words. "You always know how to make me feel special, Raizel."

"Of course! It's easy when you're so wonderful," he said, his tone sincere. "I want to make every moment we share memorable."

Azazel pretended to gag dramatically, a playful smirk on his face. " Oh please, spare me the romance! You two are going to make me sick with all this sweetness. Just don't forget to save some of that cake for me when you're done with your lovey-dovey moments!"

Raizel chuckled, shaking his head at Azazel's antics. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you get a slice. But only if you promise to stop interrupting our moment."

Akeno laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I think Azazel just wants to be included in the fun!"

"Exactly! Who wouldn't want to join in on such a delightful gathering?" Azazel replied, feigning innocence.

"But really, I'm just here to keep an eye on you two. Can't have you getting too distracted while the real action is happening."

As they shared a quiet moment, the sounds of battle faded into the background, leaving only the warmth of their connection. Akeno leaned her head against Raizel's shoulder, feeling safe and content.

With that, they settled into a comfortable silence, watching the fierce rivalry unfold before them, knowing that their bond was growing stronger with each passing moment.
