Chapter 57: Summer Break - 1

After the intense confrontation, the atmosphere in the Occult Research Club was quieter than usual, though still filled with a lingering tension.

Rias and her peerage gathered together, their faces tired but relieved after the battle. They were discussing the aftermath and making plans for the future.

Raizel, still in his calm, collected demeanor, stood beside Akeno, their closeness unmistakable. It was clear that the two had grown even closer during their adventures.

As they sat around the room, Azazel leaned back in his chair with an amused smirk, clearly enjoying the situation.

The former leader of the Fallen Angels, now an adviser to the Occult Research Club, couldn't resist the opportunity to tease the pair.

"So," Azazel began, his eyes twinkling with mischief as he looked between Raizel and Akeno, "seems like you two are getting quite cozy, huh? I can't say I didn't see this coming."

Akeno blushed slightly, her gaze shifting away, though her smile remained warm.

Raizel, on the other hand, remained stoic, his usual calm expression betraying no hint of embarrassment. However, it was clear from his slight shift in posture that he had heard Azazel's teasing.

"Oh, come on, Azazel," Rias chimed in, rolling her eyes playfully. "You've been saying that since the beginning. Let them enjoy their time together."

Azazel grinned, clearly enjoying every second of it. "Hey, it's just fun to watch! Besides, they've been through a lot together. I'm just acknowledging the obvious."

Kiba chuckled, while Xenovia and Issei exchanged knowing glances. Issei, as usual, was eager to jump in with his own comment.

"Y-Yeah! I mean, if it's going to be like that, I wouldn't mind if Akeno was by my side," Issei said, completely unaware of how awkward his words were. "After all, who wouldn't want a beauty like her?"

Akeno raised an eyebrow, her playful nature returning. "You have a lot of confidence, don't you, Issei?"

Raizel, sensing an opportunity to tease, shifted his gaze to Issei. "Maybe you should try to focus on improving yourself before making such declarations," he said, his tone calm yet carrying a subtle challenge.

Everyone laughed, the atmosphere lightening despite the recent tensions. Azazel, taking a break from his teasing, leaned back in his chair with a satisfied smirk.

"Well, now that everyone's settled, I'll be sticking around to offer my expertise," Azazel said. "Seems like you guys will need some guidance going forward, especially if more threats like that come your way. I'm happy to be your adviser."

Raizel simply nodded, his usual calmness returning.

Some time had passed since the summit and the chaotic events surrounding it. The dust had settled, and life at the academy returned to its usual pace.

The tensions that had once surrounded the leaders of the supernatural factions now seemed like distant memories. The Occult Research Club resumed its everyday activities, with Raizel and Akeno continuing to grow closer, their relationship becoming more apparent to everyone around them.

Azazel, ever the prankster, had settled comfortably into his role as the adviser of the club. His presence had brought a different dynamic to the group—though his teasing was relentless, it was clear that his guidance was invaluable.

He often sat back, watching the students as they went about their work, always ready with a sarcastic comment or a bit of advice when necessary.

Rias, Kiba, Xenovia, and the rest of the peerage had gotten used to the new routines. They were still occasionally surprised by the unusual talents and mysterious nature of Raizel, but they had grown to respect him and his quiet strength.

His bond with Akeno was becoming more solid, and their interactions were more natural, though there was still a sense of mystery surrounding him that kept everyone on their toes.

Issei, as usual, was his loud and energetic self. His fascination with Akeno hadn't faded, and he occasionally tried (and failed) to impress her, but he had grown to respect Raizel as well, even if his jealousy occasionally flared up.

The school itself continued to be a hub of activity, with students going about their daily lives, unaware of the supernatural forces that occasionally intersected with their world.

Some students, however, couldn't help but notice the occasional oddity—the strong bond between Raizel and Akeno, Azazel's constant teasing, and the way the group seemed to handle every situation with a level of grace and power that seemed beyond the norm.

One afternoon, after a particularly long day, Raizel and Akeno found themselves sitting quietly on the rooftop of the school, enjoying the setting sun. The peacefulness of the moment was a sharp contrast to the intense battles they had fought not long ago.

"I've never had a peaceful moment like this before," Akeno said, her voice soft as she looked out over the horizon. "It's hard to believe everything that's happened... But I'm glad we've made it through."

Raizel glanced at her, his usual calm expression on his face. "We've always made it through, Akeno. And we will continue to, as long as i am here to protect you."

Akeno smiled at his words, feeling a warmth in her chest. She had always been strong, but having Raizel by her side made everything feel just a little bit easier, even in the face of the unknown.

"Yeah," she whispered.

After the surprising events of the Underworld train incident, Raizel and his friends found themselves in a luxurious hot spring, the steam rising gently from the water, creating a serene atmosphere.

The girls had their own room, filled with laughter and chatter, while the boys settled into a separate area, the tension from the earlier events slowly melting away.

In the girls' room, Akeno, Rias, and Koneko relaxed in the warm water, the soothing heat enveloping them.

Akeno leaned back against the edge of the bath, a playful smile on her lips. "I can't believe we survived that train ride. It was so chaotic!"

Rias chuckled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "And to think, we were worried about the mission. It turned into a wild adventure instead!"

Koneko, who had been quietly enjoying the warmth, glanced at Akeno. "You seemed to handle it well. You always do. What's your secret?"

Akeno raised an eyebrow, a teasing glint in her eyes. "My secret? Well, I just know how to keep my cool. Besides, it helps to have someone like Raizel around. His calm is affecting me, i think."

Meanwhile, in the boys' room, Azazel lounged in the hot spring, a smirk plastered on his face as he glanced over at Raizel, who was sitting quietly, his usual stoic expression in place. "What's with the Stoic face, Raizel? You look like you're about to face a dragon instead of enjoying a hot bath."

'Fucking lunatic.' Raizel thought.
