Chapter 37: 3.2.1 BOOM...,
[Grey Pov]
I looked at my left and saw Superman and Lux Luther fighting together agonist a giant one-eyed abomination, I looked to my right and saw Batman and ever one of his villains fighting together to save people who are running to the portal at the other side Shield and the Avengers were helping, I raised my axe and cut down another abomination and then looked at the time.
[10:01.23]
Ten minutes were left and we had barely saved a million people, even with all of the heroes and most of the villains of the DC world.
But it wasn't enough.
I charge forward, cleaving through another monster with my axe, And another beast lunges at me, but I strike it down with a swing. Dark tentacles slither and burrow into my skin, searing like fire. I grit my teeth, refusing to scream.
I turn to the last of the heroes and the civilians scrambling toward the portal.
[Grey]: Get in the portal, Batman! And take Aquaman with you—I'll be fine!
Batman nods, grabbing the half-conscious, still-smoldering Aquaman and hauling him through to the other side.
I move to follow, my body burning, my vision blurring. The last of the heroes make their way through, But Then—
A massive, clawed hand slammed into the ground beside me.
I barely dodged before a towering new monster—three heads, each breathing a different kind of destruction— rose from the ruins of Gotham.
The portal flickered.
Something was interfering.
[Grey]: NO! Not now!
Then I heard it—
A deep, thunderous chuckle.
Floating above the battlefield, golden armor glowing like a dying sun, was the Golden Armored Man.
He spread his hands, smug as ever.
[Golden Armor Man]: You thought I'd make it easy? Oh no, little fish. Let's see if you can truly save them all.
The massive, three-headed abomination turned to the portal.
It was aiming to destroy everything.
If it succeeded—everyone left behind would die.
At that moment, my body moved on its own. Without hesitation, I lunged at the monster, gripping my axe tightly and activating my strongest, newest skill.
[Grey]: [The Eye of the Abyss]
In an instant, everything within range was erased—including half of Gotham City.
As I stood there, battered and breathing heavily, I watched the last of the people step through the closing portal. The man clad in golden armor—smiled at me, his army of monsters standing at his command.
[Golden Armor Man]: You know, little fish, I can never wipe this grin off my face whenever I send one of Six back with a genocide bomb in their soul. The look on his face—anger, sorrow, pure hatred—it's priceless. Just like the time I killed his wife. It reminds me how much better I am than him.
He chuckled, glancing at an unseen clock.
[Golden Armor Man]: Ah, would you look at the time? Thirty seconds left. Goodbye, fish.
And just like that, he vanished, leaving me alone with his monsters.
As the seconds ticked away and the creatures tore into my flesh, I used every last one of my level-up pills. My vision blurred. My body burned. Then—
3… 2… 1…
A blinding light engulfed the world.

Darkness.
That was all I knew.
My body had been torn apart, my soul burned, hollowed, and reshaped by the explosion. My very existence was unraveling, yet—
I was still here.
Somewhere in the abyss of nothingness, a voice whispered sometimes to me.
I opened my eyes.
And I was no longer in the ruined world.
The first thing I noticed—
The sky was black.
Not just dark—it was a void, an endless abyss.
I pushed myself up—
And then I saw my hands.
Or rather, my new hands.
Translucent. Ethereal. The deep blue glow pulsed through them, as if my veins carried the very essence of the void.
I looked down—
Tattered robes, shifting between material and mist.
And then, beneath my feet—
An endless ocean.
Not of water, but something else. Something darker, colder—deeper than existence itself.
Then I felt it.
A presence.
No—many presences.
I turned—
And they were watching me.
Eldritch beings, leviathans of the abyss, horrors beyond understanding.
They loomed in the distance, their many eyes unblinking, their mouths whispering in languages older than time.
And in the center of them all—
A throne of black coral and shattered reality.
A figure sat upon it.
Tall. Cloaked in shadows, crowned with twisted horns and a halo of shattered light.
It leaned forward.
And it smiled.
[???]: Welcome home, little Abyssborn.
