I'm Not A Master, I'm A Director (Creating Fate Movie In Nasuverse)

Chapter 209: Chapter 211: Excessive Talking Is a Villain's Eternal Flaw

Tokyo, Aeon Cinema

Though it was nearing midnight, Theater 3 of the cinema was still packed with viewers.

These audience members were munching on popcorn, eagerly awaiting the screening.

However, today's feature was a little special—it wasn't a movie, but rather the final episode of the Heaven's Feel series.

This was part of a continuous screening event hosted by Type-Moon Film and Television Company in collaboration with several cinemas.

The event offered special Heaven's Feel viewing tickets for Fate fans, beginning with the first episode of Heaven's Feel at 10 AM and sequentially screening all episodes. After the fifth episode ended near midnight, the final episode would be shown at exactly 12:00 AM.

While the ticket price for the Heaven's Feel marathon wasn't cheap, for hardcore Fate fans, this was a small price to pay. Getting to see the final episode as soon as possible was worth it.

Not to mention, rewatching the earlier episodes on the big screen made the deal all the more enticing.

After all, no matter how high-end a home theater setup might be, it can't quite match the audiovisual quality of a cinema.

This difference comes down to sheer cost.

As loyal fans of Shinji Matou, members of the Young Magus Club purchased the special tickets as soon as they went on sale. Today, they had been in the theater since morning to enjoy the marathon.

"This is fantastic. I never expected the official team to organize something like this."

Sitting in his seat, Shibamatsu massaged his stiff neck. Watching five consecutive episodes over ten hours had left him with a sore neck.

The cinema's schedule did include 20–30 minute breaks between episodes.

But what Fate fan attending a marathon screening would be willing to step out during Heaven's Feel's much-anticipated finale? They all waited eagerly for the final episode to start.

"Yeah, watching Heaven's Feel on the big screen really does feel different from watching it on TV."

Even Alice, usually stoic, was smiling—a rare sight.

Fujita, ever the tsundere, commented, "Watching it all at once on the big screen really makes you notice how much dialogue Heaven's Feel has. But, since it's a series, I guess it's acceptable."

"What are you saying? These tickets only cost about as much as three regular movie tickets. We get to watch 12 hours of content—it's a steal!"

At this, Shibamatsu furrowed his brows in confusion. "I wonder if the cinema loses money selling tickets like this."

"Definitely not."

Alice twirled her fingers, explaining, "There were only a handful of marathon screenings in Tokyo, and the attendance is way higher than for regular movies. Plus, we've spent the whole day eating and drinking here, so the theater's other revenue isn't small."

"You actually calculate things like this…"

Shibamatsu's lips twitched in disbelief, surprised that Alice had thought it through.

Fujita leaned back in his chair, remarking, "Whoever came up with this event is a genius."

"Of course!"

Alice puffed out her chest proudly. "From the event's branding to the screening locations, and even Type-Moon Cinema' involvement, it's obvious this was planned by Shinji Matou!"

"The cinemas benefit, Heaven's Feel gains publicity and exposure, and we fans get the chance to enjoy it on the big screen."

Alice touched her cheek dreamily. "Ah~ Sir Matou really is incredible to come up with such a brilliant promotional strategy."

[Big Sis is at it again.]

[Don't bother her; she's having a spiritual connection with Director Matou~]

Shibamatsu and Fujita exchanged helpless looks before silently turning back to the screen.

Caught up in her own admiration, Alice didn't realize that marathon screenings for series-based works were nothing new in a parallel world. They were a proven strategy for promoting films.

The only reason such events hadn't been seen in this world yet was the lack of long-running series capable of pulling it off.

The most extreme example in Shinji's memories was the Avengers: Endgame premiere marathon.

Starting with Iron Man, it ran over 20 films consecutively, culminating in Endgame at midnight, effectively keeping audiences in theaters for two nights.

In comparison, Heaven's Feel's 12-hour marathon seemed relatively modest.

Initially, Shinji had considered a lineup featuring Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night, UBW, and Heaven's Feel, calling it the "Fuyuki City Holy Grail War Journey."

However, UBW's length as a full TV season made it impractical, especially with Heaven's Feel following as another series.

Overindulgence could backfire, as Fate's popularity wasn't yet strong enough to sustain such a prolonged marathon.

Additionally, adapting TV series for cinema screenings required significant resources. In the end, Shinji settled on showing just Heaven's Feel's six episodes.

This had its advantages—fans could focus more on Heaven's Feel's characters and emotional arcs, appreciating their growth and struggles.

Thus, when Sakura Matou appeared as "Dark Sakura" to confront the priest, fans collectively sighed in lament.

"What a lovely girl, now corrupted..."

But Dark Sakura herself didn't think she'd done anything wrong.

When the priest condemned her killings and accused her of reveling in her power, calling her a complete monster, Sakura only laughed.

"Hehe~ Why shouldn't I indulge in my own power?"

Her smile grew more twisted. "After all, everyone's been so cruel to me until now. If they had been kinder, maybe I could've endured a bit longer."

The priest, unfazed by her words, pressed on. "Oh? And what exactly is it that you've endured?"

"Why, myself, of course, Father."

Matou Sakura gently stroked her own body, her face twisted with rage, as she said:

"I have to admit, I really hate this world."

"The Tohsaka family that abandoned me, the sister who is completely different from me, the terrifying grandfather, the pitiful brother, and this peaceful town that ignored my suffering while living their happy lives—every single one of them, I cannot forgive!"

"So, I've decided to make everyone experience what I've been through. Let them personally endure everything I've suffered in the past ten years!"

"I know it's just misdirected anger. But so what?"

Immersed in the dark pleasure, the girl smiled faintly.

The priest before her, however, remained calm and unfazed.

At that moment, he was certain. The girl had become exactly what he wanted—the Master of Avenger.

And then, the priest coughed up blood.

"From here on, I'll be the one to mete out punishment unilaterally."

Matou Sakura's lips curled into a cruel smile.

A flicker of confusion crossed the priest's eyes. He couldn't understand why the girl had been able to land such a heavy blow on him.

No matter how much power she had gained, she was still an amateur—neither a trained fighter nor a seasoned mage. He should have been able to dodge her attack.

"Ugh…cough!"

As Kotomine Kirei coughed up more blood, writhing on the ground, he was already falling apart.

Matou Sakura laughed gleefully as she continued to torment him, mocking his foolishness.

As the newly crowned Master of Avenger, punishing the priest—who had barely survived by clinging to the black mud—was effortless.

It was like a predator playing with its prey.

"Ohhh!"

Watching Kotomine Kirei writhing in agony, Illyasviel's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"This is it! This is exactly what I wanted! Sakura-nee is amazing!"

Illya exclaimed in admiration.

To her, the priest—who reeked of something strange and constantly tried to push his unbearably spicy mapo tofu on her—was the most terrifying person she'd ever encountered.

Seeing him being utterly dominated by Sakura, Illya found herself a new idol.

"Sakura-nee is so strong! I never knew she had it in her!"

"Huh?"

Hearing her sister's comment, Shirou frowned.

Sakura had punished him countless times before. Why would Illya say she didn't know?

"You've never seen Sakura angry, have you?"

"Of course not, Shirou! Sakura-nee is so kind. How could she ever get mad? This is just her acting, right?"

"…I see."

Shirou remembered that every time Sakura got mad and was about to punish Shinji, she would send Illya out of the room to avoid setting a bad example.

'Wait…does that mean this is Illya's first time seeing Sakura in 'queen mode'?'

Seeing Illya's idolizing gaze, Shirou had a bad feeling.

'Damn you, Shinji! What if Illya starts to pick up bad habits because of this?!'

For the first time, Shirou truly understood the importance of adhering to age-appropriate content restrictions.

On the screen, Matou Sakura's torment continued.

Unfortunately, she made a classic villain mistake—she talked too much.

Originally, Sakura intended to torture the priest thoroughly before killing him.

Perhaps it was to vent her pent-up frustrations, or maybe she simply enjoyed the pleasure of dominance.

But by taking her time to mock him while delivering pain, she missed the best opportunity to finish him off.

"Goodbye, priest."

The girl extended two delicate fingers, as if snapping an invisible doll in two, and clenched tightly.

Crack—

The priest collapsed like a rag doll, his body twisting grotesquely.

Sakura knew that with one more move, the priest would be dead in less than a second.

But before she could make that final move—

"Ah…ahhh!"

This time, it was Sakura who fell to the ground, writhing in pain.

She curled into herself, clawing at the ground with her hands, her face contorted in agony.

The black shroud covering her body suddenly swelled.

"No…no! Don't come in!!!"

Sakura pleaded desperately, as if resisting the intrusion of something large and dark.

And in fact, that was exactly the case.

It wasn't some strange object, but rather a large, black, burly figure—a hulking warrior.

After a while, the shadow receded back to its original size.

Finally calming down, Sakura lay still, exhausted.

"This…can't be. Berserker…lost?"

Feeling the return of the soul to her body, Sakura murmured in disbelief.

She couldn't fathom how someone as powerful as Berserker could lose to a mere human.

But there was no other explanation.

"Ha…ha-ha…"

Sakura let out a faint laugh, casting a glance at where the priest had been.

He was gone, leaving only a bloodstained black cloak.

But that no longer mattered.

Compared to the priest, whom she could kill at any time, Sakura realized she cared about something much more.

"As expected of you, Senpai…you really are the best…ha-ha-ha…"

Lying on the ground, Sakura let out a deranged laugh.

"Ugh, Master, is this your kind of thing?"

In the meeting room, Jeanne asked seriously, "Do you want me to do something like this to you? Are you…a pervert?"

"Of course not," Shinji retorted immediately. "I'm asking you to study the actors' performances and the dynamics between the protagonists and antagonists, not focus on this stuff!"

"Besides, even if someone were a masochist, no one would want to be tortured to the point of facing death!"

Hearing this, Jeanne glanced at Mordred. Her look said it all.

Smack

Shinji facepalmed, realizing his mistake.

There really was someone—someone who seemed to enjoy getting beaten up every single time.
