Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Samsara Eyes
Entering the arena of life and death and returning to his childhood, Jun Yan wasn't panicked at all. In fact, this was exactly what he wanted.
Wouldn't it be a bargain to kill the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger directly and easily? Killing the tiger and destroying its heart — this was Jun Yan's ultimate goal.
Jun Yan closed his eyes. When he opened them again, his irises had turned a deep purple. Apart from the black pupils in the center, several circular patterns adorned his eyes.
Although they looked ordinary, these eyes possessed unimaginable power.
A hint of doubt appeared in the angry eyes of the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger. As a top-level soul beast with intelligence nearly equal to that of humans, it found this strange. Wasn't this human's martial soul supposed to control trees? So where did these mysterious eyes come from?
But the tiger was too eager for revenge to dwell on such questions. Without hesitation, it turned into a black shadow and lunged at Jun Yan, its red eyes glowing with sinister light. To the tiger, the child before it was already dead.
"Wheel Tomb, Border Prison," Jun Yan whispered softly.
Bang!
The young Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger was knocked back mid-air, as if it had hit an invisible wall.
"Roar?" The tiger growled in confusion. It felt as though an unseen force had hammered its head, yet no one was around!
From Jun Yan's perspective, however, the truth was clear — two transparent shadows were violently beating the tiger.
Wheel Tomb, Border Prison — an ability that came with his Rinnegan. Jun Yan could split his shadow into four forms, which could protect his body or ambush enemies. Only those with the Samsara Eye or extraordinary perception could detect them.
Jun Yan's predecessor had never delved deeply into this ability, following his adoptive father's cautious advice. But now, with deliberate practice, Jun Yan had mastered this powerful skill — and he planned to use it to finish the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger once and for all.
"Roar!" The tiger roared again, gathering gray evil energy around its body. A vortex formed, slowly condensing into a ball of dark lightning in front of it.
In its prime, the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger could unleash devastating lightning storms, but in its weakened state, it could barely manage one bolt. Still, the tiger believed this evil thunder would be more than enough to kill a human child.
The dark lightning shot out, exploding in front of Jun Yan. Crackling energy surged around him.
The tiger let out a breath of relief, convinced the battle was over.
Bang!
Something smashed into the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger's head again.
"No… the battle isn't over!" A horrifying realization dawned on the tiger as the evil lightning dispersed, revealing Jun Yan standing unharmed.
Jun Yan smiled confidently.
"That was your last resort, wasn't it?"
As he spoke, two more shadows appeared. Now, four invisible Soul King-level forms surrounded the young tiger.
The scene was brutal. The shadows beat the small tiger relentlessly — it didn't even have the strength to resist.
"Too cruel," Jun Yan murmured, turning his head away, unable to watch the carnage any longer.
Bang!
A shadow delivered the final blow, smashing the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger's head. No matter how unwilling it was, its life was over — a life that could never be recovered.
The space around Jun Yan distorted, shattered, and plunged into darkness once more.
When the light returned, Jun Yan found himself back in the real world. The strength he had lost was restored, and the ground beneath his feet felt solid again.
Not far away, the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger's lifeless body lay sprawled on the ground.
A strange bead floated above its corpse — completely black, yet radiating a cyan and blue light.
Jun Yan raised his hand, and the bead flew into his grasp with an invisible force. With a flick of his wrist, he placed the bead into his soul guide.
From the body of the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger, black specks of light condensed, forming a soul ring — dark black, signifying a spirit beast of 40,000 to 50,000 years.
Jun Yan knew the ring was suitable for him to absorb. The soul ring of such a powerful beast would even eliminate the usual shortcomings of a mismatch between martial soul and soul beast.
But Jun Yan had a different plan.
He concentrated his soul power, and a black dot appeared on his hand. As his soul power gathered and the Samsara Eye's energy flowed, the dot stretched into a long black rod.
Jun Yan thrust the rod into the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger's body, sending a ripple of soul power through the lifeless corpse.
This was the process of creating a Six Paths Puppet — a technique he naturally understood after mastering the Samsara Eye. The black rods acted as receivers, allowing Jun Yan to control the puppet.
One by one, he stabbed more rods into the tiger's body. As the final rod entered, the corpse seemed to stir.
The Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger opened its eyes, but its once ferocious gaze was gone. Now, it had the same Samsara Eyes as Jun Yan.
"The next step is the last," Jun Yan whispered.
He waved his hand, and the black soul ring above the tiger's body slowly shrank, flying into his palm. Without hesitation, Jun Yan pressed the ring back into the tiger's body.
A suction force emerged, pulling the ring into the beast.
The tiger's eyes briefly flickered with emotion as it rose to its feet, roaring at Jun Yan in defiance.
Jun Yan scratched his ear, unfazed.
"Sit down," he commanded.
The Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger immediately obeyed, though it clearly fought against this submission — but no matter how it tried, it could no longer resist.
Ignoring its rebellious spirit, Jun Yan retrieved the dark bead from his soul guide. This bead was the tiger's core, containing most of its power.
Jun Yan pressed the bead to the tiger's head, watching as it slowly sank into the skull.
At that moment, the Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger of the Animal Realm was born.
