Chapter 50: Ch 50. Building x Sealing/Barrier class
After the trials, the Third Raikage and Dodai returned to the Raikage Building for a meeting. Accompanying them were Ay, Killer Bee, Raiya, and Kohana. Raiya and Kohana, both medical ninjas, played key roles in the discussion, particularly Raiya, who oversaw aspects of the medical department. The meeting focused on integrating medical hibernation tanks into the existing medical infrastructure, especially within the hospital.
It was soon decided that these medical chambers would be installed in hospitals, the ANBU training grounds, and the Raikage Building, as all three locations were in close proximity. The central supply unit for the system would be constructed underground near the Raikage Building, adjacent to the ANBU training facility. Given that most villages housed their ANBU training grounds and headquarters underground, this was deemed the safest and most strategic location.
In addition, gravity training grounds were designated across the village. Every ninja village had multiple large training grounds for various forms of training, and the Third Raikage allocated the seven largest open Taijutsu training grounds for gravity training. These were set to 5x, 10x, 12x, 14x, and up to 20x gravity levels. Spread out across the region, they encompassed the nearby Lightning Mountain Ranges.
Since the training grounds were located near the mountains, dispersion runes were placed at the base of some peaks, enclosing them to ensure stability. This setup applied a light, evenly distributed force to all sides, reinforcing the mountains' structure, almost like they were wearing tight jeans. The system ensured stability by relying on the rocks for weight dispersion without disturbing the surrounding soil, plant life, or local ecosystem.
As for higher-level gravity training grounds, their construction would have to wait until the general ones were completed. Each of these advanced facilities would function as a self-contained system, similar to the one used by the Raikage, requiring stricter management and security. For now, the village decided that only ANBU would have access to these training grounds, which will be built underground. Other ninjas seeking access would need to apply through the Raikage Building, where requests would be handled by the Raikage's assistants and ANBU staff.
The implementation of these projects was entrusted to Ron and Ed, with Dodai providing oversight and full support from the village. At this point, the entire upper echelon of Kumogakure, including elite ninjas and department heads, was aware of Ron. However, these two large-scale projects would serve as the first opportunity for many departments to collaborate with him directly.
Given Ron's young age, Dodai needed to act as a bridge between him and the various village departments, such as the sealing and medical divisions. His role ensured that department heads would come to understand Ron's capabilities and work with him effectively, after all, few would readily follow the directives of a five-year-old who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Dodai's support in this regard mirrored Ed's role in connecting Ron with the research institute.
For the next week, Ron and Ed remained occupied with the medical hibernation chamber project, pushing forward with its development.
Most of the components were manufactured at the research institute under Ed's instructions and supervision, and everyone involved, of course, had protective seals placed on them, like all researchers at the institute, and even passed ANBU's review.
Skilled chakra blacksmiths crafted the intricate essential parts using chakra metal, relying on newly designed advanced machinery and refining techniques developed within the institute. Once all hardware and interfaces were ready, Ron took charge of setting them up, integrating sealing techniques that managed the chakra seals. He connected these seals to the electronic components using small devices akin to a motherboard made from chakra metal, which enabled seamless integration between sealing jutsu, chakra, and electronics.
The entire setup was completed within a week. The most time-consuming aspect was the manufacturing process at the research institute. Now that the system was in place, Ed needed to train those designated by the village for its usage and management.
The Chakra Training Grounds were completed within two weeks. Their setup was relatively simple, requiring only the physical training spaces and the surrounding walls where the seals would be placed. To streamline access, Ron developed a small device that functioned like a sealing jutsu printer. When a metal ring or accessory of sufficient size was placed inside, the device would imprint it with the needed seal key. This machine was installed in the Raikage Building, allowing each ninja to receive a personalized access key based on their preference.
Ron handled the core sealing work while the village's sealing teams took care of the remaining tasks. The gravity seal areas were integrated into the village's barrier system, ensuring their maintenance would fall under the same department responsible for the barrier's upkeep. While the sealing department could technically manufacture access keys, ninjas were not directly managed by them, so Ron created the seal-printing device for efficiency.
In the long run, the sealing department was responsible for maintaining the seals on the training ground walls and nearby mountains. Since these seals required chakra to function, they were linked to the village's barrier network, which already powered various defensive mechanisms. The chakra required for operation was minimal, and with the addition of Uzumaki ninjas and their advanced sealing jutsu, Kumogakure had significantly strengthened its barrier systems.
The village now had an array of barriers, sensory seals, and localized defensive structures in key areas such as the Raikage Building and hospitals. These locations required both protection in case of attacks and continuous surveillance. Managing the village's core barrier and sealing network required the cooperation of multiple teams, much like the large-scale coordination seen during the Fourth Ninja War, all under a giant network.
Now that the projects were completed, anticipation swept through the entire village. Word had spread among the ninjas that major changes were underway, but few knew the full extent of what was coming. Excitement and curiosity filled the air as they awaited the official reveal soon, the transformation of Kumogakure would be unveiled!
