Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System

"Lolipop…" the girl muttered, a bit of anger surging forth. "How could you run away again!? You bad, bad dragon…!"

Necro arched a brow.

'I had my guesses, but this dragon monster really is the girl's pet,' he thought. 'But this makes things easier.'

"So then." He shifted his gaze toward her. "About that favor—"

"Only if you help me bring Lolipop back as well!" the pretty young girl interrupted while giving the pouty dragon a few smacks on the bum. "I-I mean, if you could please assist, I'd very much appreciate it…"

Necro observed her bashfulness, numerous thoughts swirling around inside his mind.

"Roaaghh…"

The green dragon stared helplessly at Necro. Its large, slitted eyes held within them a deep sense of pleading, as it obviously didn't want to return.

However, Necro was not stupid, and was attuned to nature and anything connected to it. As such, he could immediately tell that the dragon was faking it—likely doing so to garner his sympathy.

As for why it was doing this, Necro guessed it to be because of the creature's troublesome personality.

This was the dragon monster's system interface. From it, Necro knew right away that the monster was up to no good.

"I can bring it back," he said to Su Yu. "But there's a condition."

"...What kind of condition…?" Su Yu inquired with a nervous tone. "It b-better not be anything perverted…!"

"It's not," Necro denied. "The condition is quite simple and has to do with the favor I'd like to request. The condition is that you tell me how strong the strongest in this Region are and who they are—and the request is that you… familiarize me with the Blue Ring Region and every notable thing you can think of."

Su Yu's nerves eased up, and were replaced by a deep level of bewilderment.

"That's all you want?" she asked.

Necro nodded. "That's all I want."

Su Yu went from a state of trepidation to raucous laughter as she said, "What you ask is too simple! Firstly, my family—the Blue Legion Family—is the sole ruler of the Blue Ring Region. We have been in power for many, many years and have accumulated a vast number of resources—and, subsequently—power. This is to say that the strongest people in the Region are in our family.

Specifically, my father and my grandfather.

Both were leader geniuses of their generations. Furthermore, they're both but half a step away from achieving the Golden Core Realm!"

'Half-step Golden Core?' Necro frowned. 'I'd perish in an instant.'

"As for your favor request and the information related to the remainder of the powerhouses in the Blue Ring Region, you'll first have to help me transport Lolipop back," said Su Yu. "We'll talk on the way, hihi."

Necro had no qualms with this. And with a single hand, he lifted the tied-up Wyvern before throwing it over his shoulder.

The sizes were massively disproportionate, but this seemed to be the norm in this world, as Su Yu was mostly unaffected by this sight. She was, however, a bit shocked to see how docile Lolipop had become after being put so close to Necro.

"Human girl, you were saying?"

Necro's monotone voice shook Su Yu out of it but almost immediately made her visibly pout.

"Stop calling me 'human girl'! You know you're a human too, don't you!?" she snapped.

"Hmm?"

Necro was confused.

She was a human, was she not? What was wrong with using that as a form of verbal identification?

Realizing that she was not getting through to him, Su Yu cutely hung her mouth open. She grumbled and grumbled in an awkward manner, urging Necro to tilt his head in confusion.

"Just call me by name, okay!" Su Yu demanded with arms drilling toward the ground.

Necro still didn't understand the nuance of it all, but nodded nonetheless. "Very well, Miss Su Yu. I shan't refer to you by your race any further."

"...You're such a weirdo, you know that?" Su Yu walked ahead of him, trying to hide the laughing grin that was wanting to form. "And by the way, what's your name? You haven't told me yet."

"Necro."

"Necro?"

"Necro."

Silence…

"A weird name for a weird person," Su Yu giggled. "And also, what's a weirdo like you doing out here in the Great Forest of Jagga?"

Necro stared ahead, a pensive look emerging. "As I'm a human, I want to go do human things with other humans. I'm searching for a human settlement to accomplish this goal."

Su Yu held back her laughter, saying, "The only Human Settlement around here is River Mountain City, and it's protected and hidden by a high-level Array Formation. This makes it impossible to find unless you're either familiar with the area or have a guide like myself!"

"An Array Formation, huh?" Necro mused. "No wonder it felt like I've been walking around in circles for the longest while—must be the result of some kind of illusion formation aspect."

Su Yu showed visible surprise. "How'd ya know that, Necro!? Are you actually some sort of genius??"

"Doesn't take a genius to infer that," replied Necro as he narrowed his eyes, attempting to peer through a blurry filament that he couldn't previously see. "This must be that Array Formation. It's quite large."

He promptly threw Lolipop off to the side, causing it to whimper. And then, under the shocked eyes of Su Yu, he approached the illusory filament and placed his hand up against it.

Then he… released part of his true body.

BOOM!

The filament that stretched in every direction for many miles was instantly ruptured. A whole new expanse of scenery opened up before Necro, urging forth a dry, "Wow—".

"You… Just how did you do that!?" Su Yu was freaking out, and also a bit salty over not being able to show off in front of him. "First was that weird thing you did with your hand to capture Lolipop, and now this! And also, how did you even locate River Mountain City's defensive barrier to begin with?? That shouldn't have been possible!"

Not once did the notion of him being a monster or demon cross through her mind. After all, only an Immortal-level Monster or Demon could transform into a human.

For there to be an Immortal Monster in Skyriser Kingdom was simply impossible!
