Chapter 56: 56. Silly Little Angel
Although Devil's and Angel's weren't allies they weren't enemies either.
The Satans and the Seraphs have been in talks with each other over a peace treaty between the three factions to facilitate peace and development.
Since the Biblical faction had many enemies then it was only wise to band together in an alliance, and the people responsible for the wars and animosity have all died.
And Venelana although she participated in the Great War wasn't a person who hated the Angels and Fallen.
The past was the past and the war was long over.
Her son himself wasn't fully a devil and could even access his powers as an angel.
The holy energy he radiated was no less pure than any Seraph she had encountered before.
So meeting Gabriel didn't make her anxious or wary. At most, she was just a bit taken aback seeing the Seraph in Kyoto but gazing at the large amount of snacks she had in her hands Venelana could somewhat understand.
She must have come to Kyoto to attend the festival and while stuffing her face with food she must have sensed what was happening here and came to check out of curiosity.
Venelana didn't doubt that Gabriel had any ulterior motives or she was scheming because she was far too innocent for that.
She may have participated in the war and fought but Venelana believed Gabriel never killed her enemies and didn't prevent anyone from escaping.
Venlana felt Gabriel was just too pure for the supernatural world which was dark and murky.
Although she did have the strength, her mindset and attitude was just too pure, if not for the protection of her brother then this airhead angel would already have been deceived by some enemies using her kindness against her.
Although Venelana didn't want many people to know about her son due to him having a target on his back , she considered getting in contact with Michael due to Vivian's angel lineage and right now this seemed like a perfect opportunity.
And Gabriel was particularly easy to deal with and it's not every day you get to meet such a gullible Seraph.
She didn't think Gabriel was an idiot but she did think it would be easier to get Gabriel to like Vivian.
Getting Gabriel to teach Vivian would be fine although she wasn't the best at fighting she was still a Seraph.
She could even pull the nephew card out, she didn't know how the Angels felt about Lucifer but Gabriel being a softie should be able to empathize a bit especially since her son could become an Angel.
She had wanted to communicate with Michael without any major news being leaked out, but it would be hard in normal scenarios.
But she didn't know if it was luck or fate but it seemed she had the perfect candidate to get in touch with the current ruler of Heaven.
Gabriel just tilted her head a little confused by Venelana's stare but in the end, she gave a naive smile and once again offered some food in her hands.
Venelana this time took the snack with a polite smile causing Gabriel to beam.
She was literally radiating happiness, this made Venelana wonder whether she was an Angel or a Golden retriever.....
.....
Gabriel was very happy when she saw that the woman in front of her had accepted the food she offered.
At first, she thought the other party was wary of her due to being an Angel and this made her sad.
She knew who this woman was, Venelana Bael the mother of the current Satan Lucifer.
She used to be very prevalent on the battlefield too, the strongest woman in the underworld wasn't for show.
Gabriel wondered why this woman didn't become a Satan, with her power and status she could have become one.
But maybe she didn't want to deal with the headache of being a leader, Gabriel could understand because she had seen her brother work very hard.
So seeing the woman she instantly knew who she was and they seemed to observing a cocoon encased in purplish energy.
Gabriel was in wonder as she stared at a lot of people who seemed to be here, the sight of crucified corpses did make her feel a bit bad but she decided to ignore it and focus on her food.
She decided to stay near Venelana instead of the big bad dragon who seemed to be in a bad mood.
She had offered food to Venelana because she felt that the woman was a bit sad so Gabriel tried to cheer her up by giving her some snacks.
She was really happy when Venelana accepted her gesture because she was worried that Venelana didn't like her.
But it seems she was just overthinking things. Her brother did say that he wanted to end all conflicts and sign a peace treaty with the Fallen and Devils and Gabriel was very happy when she heard about this news.
Although the plan was still in works she was very optimistic about it as this meant that no more fighting would happen and hatred didn't need to be propagated.
So being on good terms with such an influential person like Venelana was a good thing for heaven, Gabriel felt happy because she wanted to relieve some burden of her brother.
Two influential women from opposite sides with genuine desire to befriend each other met by pure coincidence or was it truly a coincidence....
