Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1095: Interference from the above

[OP: ]

The first drop of the pure lifeforce. The blood of the world. The fragment of nature, or… to those who understood the existence of this thing, this was [Lifeblood].

"...?!"

There were countless individuals throughout the world that possessed knowledge beyond what was known to the entirety of the world.

Eon was simply one of them, and even he did not know that much about this world.

In the tower library that they had back in the great forest, there were sections of the library that he was not allowed to enter. There were shelves filled with books that seemed to contain the entire history of this world but, he was not allowed to go there.

He knew a lot, but he did not know it all.

Perhaps a little more than a fragment, but the knowledge that he had was not capable of refuting the faith and steering up a torrent that could bring a wave of eternal change.

He was not at that stage yet. But, unlike him there were countless others that had dedicated a good part of their lives to the process of learning.

To the process of gaining knowledge, strength, to the process of getting stronger.

There were many that had lived for hundreds of years, there were many who were much older than the headmaster himself.

There were many that could not be compared with anyone or anything that existed in this world. There were some that were simply from beyond this world or stayed out of this world.

Many of them possessed divinity, something that was common among them. Many of them even possessed a world of their own, something mortals like Eon and the headmaster would not understand anytime soon.

There were those who could travel through the world and bring the tides of change throughout these worlds, there were those who were following a grand mission and there were those who simply pursued the path of the Truth finder.

Their journey of constant loss was a tale well known throughout myriad worlds. And…

Among these beings, there were some who still had untenable attachments to this world.

"Who are you?!" The headmaster reacted instantly as soon as Eon dodged the sudden attack and created various barriers around all of them as well as the artifact that was in the process of extracting the [Lifeblood].

The first drop was created, and the light that was coming from this first drop was just so great that there was nothing around them that was as bright as that one jar where it was gathering.

Even the three individuals… puppets, that had appeared in the sky were no match for the brightness of this thing.

[{( "Kekeke~! What do you mean, boy of the weaklings~? We are nobodies~." )}]

The three that were now present in the air, the headmaster did not take even a minute to figure out the identities of these beings.

"You puppets…! Who is the one controlling you! Get out here, you coward!"

Divinity.

It was something so distinct that one did not need anything other than a fraction of it to perceive it.

Those who had that fraction of divinity could perceive the bright, almost blinding light from the three [Spector] like figures that had manifested out of the blue.

[{( "Kekeke. How dumb~. You humans are so so so~~ dumb~!" )}]

The three figures in the sky were pretty much entirely covered in Red, Black, and Blue robes. There were hoods covering their entirely dark faces, and there was something about them that made them different from the actual [Spectors] the creatures of the underworld.

[{( "One should focus on the task at hand instead of chattering away. Thee must obtain the [Lifeblood]." )}]

While the spectors were creatures of darkness that resembled the grim reapers closely, they were different creatures than them.

These three figures that were now floating in the sky above them though, were much different than them.

Just like light energy, there was a light behind their heads that resembled a half Mandala.

Though not one an actual one that might belong to the enlightened divine souls, these lights were symbols of their borrowed divinities.

The lack of any innate lifeforce of their own was also an indication that they were all an empty shell, an empty body that was made for the sole purpose of using them as substitutes for a Stigma holder.

"You evil gods…! You won't get what you want!"

The headmaster was enraged the moment he witnessed these beings.

The moment he saw Eon dodging with an instantaneous moment, he knew there was something here that should not have been here in any condition.

When he perceived the existence of these beings, he knew they were something that the children must not engage with.

At the same time, even though Eon had dodged the attack just now, he was in his weakest state right now.

His body was in no condition to be moving, and that instantaneous moment just now must have also used up the last remaining strength in his body.

-OOOOOOOOONG!

As the headmaster looked up with enraged eyes, at the puppets that belonged to those seeking worldly elements despite their ascension to the higher realm, he knew they were here with no good intentions.

The lifeblood must be what attracted them, but it should not be what they were here for so… he knew he had to do something!

[{( "Oh, no no. Spatial spells will be unusable for the time being." )}]

The puppet in the red spoke up, a smile going from ear to ear, clad in red light, appearing under the hood of the being.

It was a sinister smile, and just seeing it sent shivers down Zodiac's spine.

[{ "Eon…!" }]

Eon and Cradle were shocked by the appearance of these beings, but, for some reason, they had become frozen in space.

They could not move and they could not do anything.

At the same time, as the headmaster had figured out by now, because of the Authority of the one in red, he could not use any spatial magic to transport the children out of this place.

[{( "Why don't we play a little~? Hehehe~. I've always wanted to see just how strong the child of those bastard is~." )}]

The protective spells were not going to work for long, and the headmaster knew that, so he did not wait for anyone or anything.

The moment he figured out the three were puppets of evil gods that had no good intentions, someone who wanted the thing that they had created with all their efforts, he looked at the three of his companions with an urgent look.

'Forgive me…'

-Swish!

He was telling this to them at one moment, and the very next moment, he had vanished from his position.

-BAM!

-Swiiiiiiiiish!

-BANG…!

[{( "Hey! I was supposed to have him!" )}]

There was a blue barrier all around the three figures, and it seemed like it was an authority of the blue puppet that even the headmaster had not perceived.

The way the headmaster charged forward despite being a mage shocked Eon who was on the ground and witnessing something he knew he should not have been facing just yet.

The three puppets.

They were something like a shell inside of which a divinity was personally residing for the time being.

A divine being was controlling these puppets that had a portion of their authorities and powers, and from the looks of it… they were after not just the Lifeblood, but also something else.

[{( "Welp, Blue can just stay here and observe. Black and I shall do the work~!" )}]

The one in the red was the most chatty of them all, but since they were using the [True] voice, the rest of them were being pressured down just for hearing those words.

There were barriers that the headmaster had created for them to limit the effects of these words, but even with the strengths that they had neither Eon, nor Rein who had recently awakened her skill's divinity, nor Cradle, nor their president that was now protecting his snake partner as if it was more important than his own life.

Mirror, the unique creature that was right beside Cradle this whole time, was nowhere to be seen. The familiars of all three of them had been forcefully returned to their marks.

Celes did not even know what was going on this time, but she knew there was something very bad happening outside.

Even Lucy knew that…

[{ *Master…!* }]

She was trying to understand this situation as well. But, however she thought about it, the presence of these three puppets here just did not make any sense to her.

Why were they here? What did they want if the Lifeblood wasn't their sole objective.

There were many questions, but seeing the headmaster being thrown away that pathetically made her even more confused about this.

[{( "Now then~! How about we all play a game~?" )}]

The red one's smile deepened. The blue one expanded the blue barrier around them to the entirety of the island that they were on, while at the same time, the black puppet vanished from its place.

-OOOOOOOOONG!

A red light consumed the blue moonlit island as the entire island, especially the cave that they were focusing on, got divided into various sections.

Then…

-Zaaaaaaa…!

Red light rose from the dividing lines… which separated the entire cave, island, and everything that was present inside of it into various sections.

[{ "Hey! Eon…!" }]

Rein and Cradle were separated into a different section.

"Ughh!"

The headmaster and Zodiac were divided into another section.

[{ *Master!* }]

And Eon was separated from the rest of them as boundaries made with divine authority separated the rest of them.

[{( "Kekeke… this is going to be soooooo fun~~!" )}]

Divinities had attacked them out of the blue, but, one thing was for sure…

They were not here Just for the Lifeblood.

There was something else here that they wanted to obtain. Something that was the primary reason for their presence in this place.
