Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1096: Seperated by boundries

[OP: ]

"W-what just happened?!"

In a dark area with nothing in sight, with a plain sand covered ground beneath her feet, with a ceiling full of darkness and no light from the moon or any other source, Cradle felt a strange horror creeping all around her body.

She felt terrified right now. Her mind was filling up with all kinds of negative emotions and her heart was racing like the flickering feathers of a hummingbird.

Swat covered her entire body, the Mana that was inside her was trying to scatter all around as if it had exploded inside of her.

Her body felt weak all of a sudden, the darkness creeping all around her body as if to wrap around her… she did not know what was going on.

She could not understand why this was happening.

She had not felt anything like this since she left her house. There was a deep pain inside of her as well… a pain that felt more psychological than physical.

"Del! Calm down!"

Her entire body was shivering. Her eyes were diluted.

She was not thinking straight, and she was also not in her right mind right now.

"Cradle!"

Perhaps it was because of this strange place that they were in, or perhaps witnessing the divinity directly, hearing the divine True voice of those beings was the reason she was in this state.

"Calm down, damn it!"

Rein was fine right now. At least, compared to Cradle, she was in a normal state right now.

There was only one thing that worried her in this seemingly dangerous place: her friend.

"Ughhh! What should I do, what should I do?!"

[{ Calm down first, master! }]

Branwen could not come out of his mark. The mark that was present on her arm had vanished as well.

He could talk with her so it was at least clear that he was around, but this situation was certainly a strange one.

[{ Master! First calm down and try helping her! Look! Her Mana is not stable! Start with that! Perhaps you will figure something out if you try using your eyes… but don't use their powers just yet! You don't know what might be here! }]

"Right!"

Thankfully, with her words, Rein also calmed down and grabbed the hands of her friend.

-Oooooong!

She then tried to stabilise her Mana and at the same time, tried to look inside of her for what might be the cause of this whole reaction.

Cradle was a strong person so Rein found it extremely strange that she would be affected so much just because of something of that scale.

"There!"

Though it was a matter involving a divine authority, this was not something one can implement on everyone.

She knew the kind of authorities that the three puppets were using after witnessing them so she knew they were not directly affecting one's mind here.

The divine powers might have been the one to interfere with her, so she first quickly cleared her mind and body with her purer Mana and when she was doing that, she saw a seed of darkness that was planted inside of Del.

This seed must have been the reason behind all this, so she tried to cleanse the seed with her Mana but it did not budge.

She tried all kinds of methods but ultimately could not do anything about this seed.

She did not find any such seed inside of her when she searched inside of her, so she knew this was a targeted approach from those puppets.

She knew the red one was the one that divided the space with its space authority, the blue was the one that placed the various barriers that helped them, and the black one must be behind this seed of darkness.

It was more difficult to understand than the seed of corruption that the world had unearthed a few centuries ago, but still, this was not something ordinary.

It should also not be here, so she tried to close it away. But when nothing worked, clenching her teeth, she proceeded with the difficult method.

-Oooooooooong!

As a pink blaze sparked around her eyes, the cave was lit up by the secondary divinity that this authority was exposed to.

A new pressure covered the world around her, but at the same time, calling these powers made her realise something: the seed that she was sensing until now, was just a seed or anything.

It was more than a seed and more like a root.

"What… what the hell?"

This root had become established all around Del's body. The end of this root was on her heart, while the other ends were spread across her body.

"Fuck…"

Rein tried sending her own energy to take out these roots, and it actually worked as well, but Rein realised that she needed extreme control to take out all these roots in a certain order.

If she fails to do so precisely, she would lose her friend. But if she does not do it right, the roots of darkness would consume Cradle and that would be her end.

-Ooooooooong!

"Ughhh!"

Though using these divine powers for long was not a good idea, she did not have any choice in this matter.

She could not, she would not let her friend die like that.

"Hang in there, Del!"

She had the power to save her, and in that situation, she was not going to hesitate even if she wanted to.

"Headmaster?"

On the other end of the boundary were the headmaster and the president, both in a much better condition than Del.

"This is not… ughh… something you should be concerned about, Zod."

The headmaster was wounded from the last assault. He was not in a good condition, but his white hair had been glowing for a while now, so the president knew he was not in that bad condition.

The impact from being thrown down like that was the one that caused him to be in this state, so the president gave him some time to get back on his feet.

"You… you shouldn't have… seen all this."

The sight of the puppets attacking them, the wounds that he suffered, the authorities of the divinities that could not even be overcome by the powers of the headmaster… this situation was the worst because this was happening right when they succeeded with their experiment.

"This is not the time to be thinking about all that, headmaster. We have to get out of here."

The president was calm right now, but Sansan was terrified.

Just like Cradle, the creature was also not in any good shape, but the only difference between the two was the seed that was planted inside of them.

"That's right… we should… get out of here."

Sansan was able to overcome the darkness thanks to the headmaster. Also, since it was a creature possessing immense energy, he was also less prone to energy attacks like these that also affected them mentally.

He already shared his mental state with the president so things were pretty good between them. But that was not something they needed to worry about right now.

"Then, how do we get out of here? Do you know any way?!"

Zodiac had used his Aura, his swordsmanship, his skills and even asked Sansan for help, but nothing proved to be effective.

They were closed and locked into a narrow space just big enough for the three of them.

It was all dark here so the headmaster was using magic to light this place up.

The area around them was not tough, most of the attacks that the president made just went past the darkness.

Nothing worked against it, so he was desperately asking the headmaster for the way out.

But, even the strongest of the archmages could not overrule an authority that was supported by the laws of the world.

"It will take some time, Zod."

The headmaster looked deep into the president's eyes and stood up, a new light circling around him.

"I want you to calm down and just sit still for the time being."

He was the most serious right now. He had not seen him so serious in his four years in the academy, but he also knew the situation right now was different.

"Yes… headmaster."

The opponents were not just demons or rakshasas or the cultists. They were dealing with gods, divinities here.

Even if the things that they were fighting were mere puppets of those beings, these puppets still possessed their authorities as well a fraction of their divinities.

"Huuuuu. This shouldn't have happened." The headmaster mumbled under his breath. "I was careless."

He was doing something right now.

There were magic circles all around his body that seemed to be… like spells that were being cast in reverse.

-Ooooooooooooong!

He was doing something different right now.

This was not spell casting and even a swordsman like the president could tell that in an instant.

This was something different… and, perhaps he will be the only student that gets to see this since the time the Headmaster, received his title of the headmaster.
