Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1103: A forest that Was

[OP: ]

Anna disappeared when Miss Nerissa was telling her about her experiences on the mainland of the empire, her hometown, the capital city of Roxanna.

"The great forest of Kamuth is a dangerous place. The environment, the nature, the diversity that goes from good to evil, and from simple to abstract in matter of moments is unlike any place else.

At least, I do not know any place like that."

Anna was happily listening to her today as well, things were pretty normal.

She woke up at her usual time, she trained in the morning, she ate her lunch, then she studied and then she came to her for a chat.

They chatted for a few hours as they have been doing for a while now and she told her about a bunch of other things, noticing nothing strange with her.

Evening came, and then, out of the blue, Anna started feeling strange.

"It is called a forbidden zone for a reason. Even I did not want to go there anytime soon."

Anna started gathering Mana inside her out of nowhere… it almost seemed like Mana was rushing inside of her.

The speed at which this started already was shocking, but the speed at which this escalated was even worse.

"You already had a way to return then? Have you planned to go there sometime in the future?" His grandmother was the one that asked this question.

And, everyone found her question to be genuine as the place they were talking about, one of the nine forbidden areas of the world, was not some place you could just walk into.

If anything, this place was not something you should ever visit or could enter, so just the thought of going there was absurd.

"Yes… I had to. It is the only place where I could get stronger."

The tower that his master, his grandma left to them.

Even though it was situated in the middle of that dangerous forest, that place was still a sanctuary compared to the rest of the forest.

It was filled with resources that one could not even comprehend. It was filled with things that his master had gathered and made over centuries.

There was still a grand library there, filled with books that he did not even know the language of. He also needed to use the Solnova concentration circle in that place to open up the next Solnova blockage in his body.

"These rings were a present my master left for us." He showed a unique ring with delicate and profound carvings and a red gemstone to the rest of them.

While everyone knew about the [Gate] that was present on the ground floor of the tower, his master had left him with a bunch of rings that possessed a very powerful return spell cast on them, a Relic that was connected with the [Gate] directly.

"One of them were placed inside Mr. Rice and I had programmed Mr. Rice to protect Anna from any danger she faces.

While it may not look like it, both Mr. Rice and mom's little kitten are artificial intelligences of the highest caliber that possess powers equal to a (tier-6) mage or a [Rank-5] weapon wielder." Enjoy exclusive adventures from My Virtual Library Empire

He was talking about the highest power potential of the two beings, but just like the other artificial helpers that he had, these two were more useful when it came to their functions rather than their powers.

"Mr. Rice would have deployed even a (tier-9) protective spell if Anna needed that. If needed, he would have absorbed over a ton of Mana himself, even if it meant to sacrifice himself.

However, the only reason it activated the final line of defense and transported her away with this ring… is because of the risk it perceived."

Miss Nerissa being a (tier-6) mage would have been more than enough to look after Anna in case of any emergency.

In fact, as soon as she perceived the sudden flow of Mana, she had deployed protective spells to help Anna, however, the sheer overflow of Mana that was condensing into Arcanum was so brutal that her spells backfired on her and she was thrown away to the other side of the garden.

The reason his uncle El was inside there with Miss Moon, was exactly because they were helping her who was in a bad condition, but thankfully, she was not hurt critically.

Though…

"If the high intelligence saw the need to take the highest of the measures, then that means the risk was just as high.

And that brings me to this point…"

They all were not gathered here because they were talking about the injured Miss Nerissa, nor because of the argument that the elders were having earlier over whether she should be held responsible or not.

It was not about any of that, but about the more pressing matters at hand.

"While Mr. Rice also went there with her and would provide her with any help needed, and I'm pretty sure Anna will be fine there If she is not in danger, and I also trust that the Tower will help her get better."

But that still did not change the fact that Anna had just awakened her powers.

She had created her unique Arcanum core, she had unleashed her dormant powers, and right now, she was in a place where she did not have anyone who could help her with her powers or the new abilities that she had found herself with.

"I know she will be fine by herself, but…"

He did not have to say more than that.

His determined, anxious, and tired eyes were enough for the rest of them to understand what he wanted to say.

"We will go there ourselves."

For the time being, since he had not received any signals from the rings that they shared, one that gave him good data about her condition, one that was connected with her soul frequency directly, they knew she was fine.

Zoe had also confirmed that she was doing well through her special connection with her. But, that did not mean she would be fine in that place by herself.

Even with Mr. Rice there, Eon knew she would not be fine in that big place.

There were tens of floors, many filled with dangerous things, and if it was Anna, he knew she would be as curious as the sad Povpois that did not like her absence.

"We have to go there."

Eon wanted to go there, no he had to go there. And after the things that had happened with them, he knew he would not be able to go there by himself.

He had placed all twelve of the rings that he had on the table before them, so they knew there were twelve people that would be able to go with him.

Rein would obviously go with him, and along with her, their two presidents should also go there.

In fact, he had decided that Alf and Carla as well as Quin and Chry go with them as well.

If they were going to go to that place anyway, it was going to be much better to go with people that he wanted to help. That's why he was going to take Miss Moon there as well.

Still, even with all these people, there were three places that were still empty, and the headmaster was not going to come with them.

"We will depart tomorrow. So, I leave it to you all.

Please decide…"

The slots were limited, and to tell the truth, he did not want their parents to see that place just yet.

It wasn't a place filled with flowers and sunshine. It was in fact a crazy place that will shock them deeply.

"..."

The headmaster was still present in the main hall with the rest of them, but he would have to leave soon.

The matter just now was big, and as he understood, the area that they were going to was a restricted zone protected by That person's powers.

He knew if they were there, they would be much safer than any other place. There were still a few weeks left of their holidays, so it was better for them to spend it doing something that they might gain something from.

Staying here was risky as the situation had changed. With the awakening of Eon's new powers, he knew more like those puppets would come after them, so, he was in favor of letting them go…

Still, he was envious of the rest of them.

'The great forest of Saintess…'

He had learned that the person Eon had learned from, the person that passed her powers down to Eon, was in fact someone famous in the lost texts of unknown history.

He had only ever heard about her, but just the things that he had heard and the fragments that he had read about were enough to leave a deep impression on him.

"Alright. Eon…"

The headmaster had his own set of duties to look after now, and with them having succeeded with [Lifeblood], they were slowly going to begin the testing phase of this new material that they had created to see what it could actually do.

"We will decide and tell you tomorrow."

The elders had to decide who would go with the children and look after them. They also had to consider the situation and choose the ones that they could trust the best.

Eon could use his [White Gate] to store the creatures, but the intelligent people or beings like Taika were restricted in that space.

Ultimately, the elders were the only problem here, and since the ultimate decision was up to him, things were even more complicated for them.

"Haaa…"

Be it Anna's disappearance or Eon's strange behaviour, none of it made any sense to them. But they knew this whole matter was about their children… so, they knew they had to be responsible adults here.

Being immature or childish will only complicate things further.
