I’ve Reincarnated, So I’m Going to Try Trading With Earth by Myself

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Towards the Release

Planet Maldea.

When I returned to Galerina, the first thing I did was report back to everyone on Earth via yutube.

I took one Switz from the Transport Plane and take a selfie with the camera.

"Hello, Earth. Look, I've finally imported the Switz to Maldea. Now I'm going to spread Earth's game to this planet!"

I stopped recording just as Galena popped her head into the camera.

The video was too short, only a dozen seconds, but I didn't care.

I'll post it as is.

As soon as I uploaded it on yutube, it started getting a tremendous amount of views.

The playback indicator was broken or something, it was stuck and not moving. Only the likes quickly surpassed 10,000.

I did post it on other social networking sites, along with the image.

The instantaneous flood of comments was tremendous.

[Our game has finally gone into the space!]

[Thank you! We are very honored!]

[Gracias! Thank you!]

[I hope Maldaea likes Nikkendo.]

[Thank you for choosing video games!]

[Mamma mia!]

[We are now watching the first steps of a new era of game history.]

「WAHOOOOOOO」

It seems that most of the people who are excited are video game fans.

Everyone expressed their joy.

Now that I' ve told the people of Earth, it's time to deliver the goods.

The next day, Galena and I had to split up to deliver the Switz to the retailers.

We had a thought about asking the warp office to deliver them, but Nikkendo had given us the booklets and posters.

I wanted to hand them over one by one and ask the store to advertise.

It doesn't take as much effort as on Earth, because with warp stations I can instantly travel to other stations.

Checking the data of the order on my device, I left the Galerina building.

The first place I went was the toy store where I placed my first order.

I asked for the manager at the counter and showed him the actual product.

"This is the package for the main device. We've already included a software package, so you can play it right out of the box."

"Hmm, that's an odd box."

The manager of the toy store was staring at the Earth package, as if it was unusual.

"This is an optional controller. If you buy it additionally, you can play with up to four people. I also prepared about five racing game software."

I put the package of Maruokarts on the counter. Looking down at the illustration on the front, he said.

"It's a gorgeous picture. This one looks fun, too. So this is a poster."

Next, the store manager turned his attention to sales promotion goods.

"Umm. I would be happy if you could hang this poster in your store. Also, there is a booklet to explain Switz. If they read it, I think customers will immediately understand what kind of plaything it is."

The manager's eyes widened in surprise as he opened the booklet he took out.

"Wow. It's not a magic booklet, but it looks nice enough. I've heard you're a small company, but you're pretty solid."

"The company that makes this device is a major company, so they're helping us with our advertising."

"Hmm, Nikkendo… I'll remember that name."

The manager glanced at the corporate logo and muttered quietly.

I go from store to store, while checking the devices for shipment.

Over the next few days, I shipped all four thousand Swizz to retail before the launch date.

I arranged a meeting with Galena at the company office to finalize the order and shipment.

"Everything's shipped, right?"

"Yeah. Now all we have to do is wait for the release date, which is the day after tomorrow."

Galena nodded her head in satisfaction, though she looked tired.

"I wanted to have a test stand or something like that, but I couldn't get a place to do that."

I remember when I was a child in a previous life, there were test stands for Famicom at electronics stores.

I used to play in the game section all the time while my parents were shopping.

That was probably a sales promotion.

But I still don't have enough trust to get the store to do that.

"A test stand. Maybe we can do that at the Institute"

Galena said as if she had an idea.

"At the Institute?"

"Hmm. There is a place called a test room. where we put our prototypes and other products to be tested by an unspecified number of people. Just leave the Switz there, and the curious researchers will touch it."

"That's great!"

She made wonderfull suggestion.

In fact, we were too fidgety to just wait around. I guess we wanted to make it succes.

I quickly prepared a couple of Swits and headed for the institute.

Then we went to the test room on the third floor.

As Galena explained, there were various magic prototype devices in the large room.

The researchers in the room seemed to be touching the prototypes and writing down their impressions on their devices.

"Is it okay to put a game console in this place?"

"No problem. There are some messed up things in there sometimes, so I guess anything goes."

Galena said in a light tone.

We put our switz on the table and decided to watch from a chair some distance away.

Then the researchers approached it.

"Hey. Isn't this Lina Marderita left behind?"

"I wonder if it's from Earth. I heard a rumor that Galena Miriam and she started a company and they' re importing something."

Two women in white coats were looking at Switz and starting to talk.

"There's a weird button on the device."

"Yeah, it's supposed to be a plaything. I've never seen a toy from Earth before."

The red-hair woman picked up the switz.

"Hmmm. There' s a video on the screen. Hypermaruo? Start button's here."

"Are you going to play? I have to go."

One of them walked away immediately, but the other one seemed to play with it for now.

"I wonder if I should go to the right… Huh, I die if it hits me?"

Apparently, she died instantly.

I thought she would stop immediately, but she continued to operate the console for a rather long time after that.

"Mmm, why can't I get it?"

She was getting kind of pissed off and was pushing all the buttons.

I had no choice, so I decided to do something about it.

"Um, what's wrong?"

"I can't get the coins out of here because there' s a brown block."

As the woman pointed at the screen, I immediately understood the situation.

"To break the block, you just have to do a thwomp with your butt from above. Press the down button while jumping"

"Thwomp? … Oh, I got it!"

Her eyes widened in surprise at the coin, which came off easily.

"Yes, congratulations."

"… D-don't praise me for this. I just got a coin."

I smiled and said it to the woman who looked a little embarrassed.

"How is it? Is it interesting?"

"Yes, it is. It's not bad at all."

She resumes the game with a not-so-subtle expression on her face.

"I'll leave it there until the release date of Switz, so please play if you like."

"I got it…"

The woman seemed to be engrossed in the screen as she replied briskly.

Apparently, she was getting hooked.

Galena wasn't the only gamer girl. This would sell well in Mardea.

Finally, two days passed.

The release date finally arrived.
