As Ye Chen and Zhao Yanyan walked toward the school gate, Ye Chen turned to her with a curious expression.

"Hey, Zhao Yanyan, why did you help me earlier?" he asked.

Zhao Yanyan glanced at him and replied casually, "I just didn't like the way that guy was treating you."

Ye Chen chuckled. "Hahaha."

Zhao Yanyan frowned slightly. "Why are you laughing?"

Ye Chen grinned. "Well, I just didn't expect someone like you to care about me."

A faint blush crept onto Zhao Yanyan's cheeks. She quickly looked away. "That's because you saved me before. I should repay your kindness."

Ye Chen smirked. "But I just ordered food earlier."

"Forget about that! Come with me to the seafood restaurant, my treat!" Zhao Yanyan grabbed his hand and led him forward. Within a few minutes, they arrived at an upscale restaurant.

"Wow, this place looks fancy," Ye Chen remarked, impressed.

Zhao Yanyan smiled. "Come on, let's go inside."

As they entered, a waiter greeted them with a polite bow. "Young Master and Young Lady, would you prefer a regular table or a private room?"

"A private room, please," Zhao Yanyan answered, handing over her membership card.

The waiter's demeanor became even more respectful as he led them to an elegant private room, designed for ultimate comfort and luxury. Once seated, he handed them the menu before exiting.

Ye Chen opened the menu and was immediately stunned by the prices. "What the… Hundreds, even thousands of dollars for a meal? The most expensive one is tens of thousands?!" He swallowed hard.

Zhao Yanyan noticed his hesitation. "What's wrong? Why aren't you picking anything?"

Ye Chen hesitated before saying, "Uh… I'm not too familiar with this kind of food. Why don't you choose for me?"

Zhao Yanyan giggled. "Alright, leave it to me." She selected a variety of dishes and handed the menu back to the waiter, who soon left to prepare their order.

Now, alone in the private room, Zhao Yanyan suddenly looked at Ye Chen with a soft expression. "Hey, Ye Chen… Can I ask you something?"

Ye Chen leaned back. "Sure. What's on your mind?"

She hesitated for a moment before asking, "Why did you save me earlier? You could have been hurt."

Ye Chen smiled. "Isn't it natural for a hero to save a beauty?" He winked.

Zhao Yanyan's cheeks turned an even deeper shade of red. "You really know how to talk, don't you?" she muttered. "I bet you have plenty of ex-girlfriends."

Ye Chen shook his head. "Actually, I only had one girlfriend before, but she betrayed me for money." His voice held a tinge of sadness.

Zhao Yanyan looked at him with concern. "Not all women are like that. Some of us truly believe in love."

Ye Chen gazed at her, his heart pounding. "Yanyan… I have something to say."

"What is it?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.

He reached for her hand, his grip gentle but firm. "Yanyan, would you be my girlfriend?"

Zhao Yanyan's eyes widened in surprise. Her heart skipped a beat as her face heated up. She had felt drawn to Ye Chen ever since they first met, but she had never imagined he would confess so soon.

She bit her lip before finally nodding. "Yes… I'd love to be your girlfriend."

Ye Chen blinked in disbelief. "Really?!"

She giggled. "Yes, I like you too. I'm really happy to know you feel the same way."

Ye Chen practically jumped out of his seat. "Yes! I finally have a beautiful girlfriend!"

Zhao Yanyan laughed at his childish excitement. "You're like a little kid."

Unable to resist, Ye Chen pulled her into a hug, their faces just inches apart. "Yanyan…"

"Yes?" she whispered, her breath warm against his skin.

He hesitated for a moment before asking, "Can I kiss you?"

Her heart pounded, and she slowly closed her eyes, giving a small nod. "Mmm…"

Ye Chen leaned in, but at the last moment, he remembered something—his disguise! He quickly pulled off his skin mask, revealing his true face.

Zhao Yanyan opened her eyes in confusion, only to be met with the sight of an incredibly handsome man leaning in toward her. Before she could react, Ye Chen's lips gently captured hers.

She tensed for a moment but soon melted into the kiss. It was soft, warm, and electrifying. Ye Chen deepened the kiss, his tongue teasing against her lips. Tentatively, she responded, her heart racing as their tongues intertwined. She had never kissed anyone before, but the sensation was intoxicating.

Minutes passed before they finally pulled away, both breathless. Zhao Yanyan's face was flushed, her eyes filled with emotion. Suddenly, realization struck her, and she pushed him back. "W-wait a second! Who are you?!"

Ye Chen blinked. "Huh? Yanyan, it's me!"

She stared at him in shock. "You— You look completely different!"

Ye Chen sighed, pointing at the discarded mask. "This is my real face. I wore that mask to avoid unnecessary trouble."

Zhao Yanyan picked up the mask, examining it closely. "Why would you hide such a handsome face?"

Ye Chen chuckled helplessly. "Because when women see me, they tend to react… excessively."

"Excessively?" she repeated, raising an eyebrow.

Before he could explain, the door opened, and a waitress entered, pushing a cart of food. The moment she laid eyes on Ye Chen's face, her entire demeanor changed. Her cheeks turned pink, and she subtly swayed her hips while serving the dishes, her gaze never leaving him.

Zhao Yanyan's eyes narrowed. Without hesitation, she stood up and practically shoved the waitress out. "That's enough. You can leave now!"

Ye Chen laughed. "Yanyan, why are you so angry over something so small?"

Zhao Yanyan crossed her arms. "I just don't like the way she was looking at you."

He smirked. "Are you jealous?"

She huffed, refusing to answer.

Ye Chen reached out, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Don't worry. I only have eyes for you."

Her expression softened, and she finally smiled. "Alright, let's eat before the food gets cold."

As they ate, Zhao Yanyan occasionally stole glances at him, feeling lucky to have found someone like Ye Chen. For the first time in her life, she felt truly cherished.
