Chapter 6: Journey Back to Earth
Ye Chen found himself standing beside a crystal-clear lake, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The water shimmered under the sunlight, and in the middle of the lake, numerous beautiful women were bathing. Their delicate figures, snow-white skin, and mesmerizing eyes made them look like celestial goddesses.
Among them, one woman stood out. She had a graceful and curvaceous body, radiant skin, and a face resembling a divine beauty. Ye Chen felt an overwhelming urge to approach her. Just as he reached out, trying to hold and kiss her, his vision blurred—everything dissolved into nothingness.
Suddenly, Ye Chen's eyes snapped open. He found himself lying in bed, his breathing slightly erratic.
"That dream again..." he muttered to himself.
Ever since he had started practicing the Heart of the King technique, these dreams of heavenly beauties had been haunting him every time he slept. Yet, no matter how vivid they were, just before he could touch them, everything would disappear.
It had been a year and a half since Ye Chen began his intense training with Gu Xuan inside the Wheel of Time. His appearance had undergone a drastic transformation.
His height had grown to 182 cm.
His once thin body was now covered in lean, well-defined muscles.
His face had become even more handsome, with sharp and refined features.
His long black hair flowed behind him, as he hadn't cut it in over a year.
Ye Chen sat up and tied his hair into a ponytail before stepping out of the ancient house. He took a deep breath, feeling the immense power coursing through his body.
Deciding to test his strength, Ye Chen flew toward a dense forest outside the Wheel of Time. He needed a worthy opponent for a warm-up.
After a few minutes of searching, he finally spotted a fierce magical beast—the Fire Fang Wolf.
The beast stood at 2.5 meters tall and measured 3 meters long.
Its sharp fangs burned with fire, glowing ominously.
Its entire body was covered in thick, flame-coated fur.
As soon as Ye Chen landed in front of it, the Fire Fang Wolf let out a loud roar and assumed a battle stance.
Without hesitation, the wolf lunged toward Ye Chen, opening its flaming jaws to rip him apart.
Yet, Ye Chen remained completely still, his expression calm.
Just as the wolf closed in, Ye Chen raised one hand and—BAM!—he grabbed the wolf's fangs mid-air, stopping it in its tracks.
The searing heat of its fangs had no effect on his skin. The wolf struggled violently, but Ye Chen barely felt any resistance.
With a slight smirk, Ye Chen twisted his body 360 degrees and—**
"I want you to take care of my daughter. Her name is Gu Xun, and she is currently on the Star of the Holy Sky, one of the Star Kings in our domain," Gu Xuan said, his expression serious.
"I've heard that she was recently appointed as the Personal Servant of the Snow Butterfly Goddess."
Ye Chen's eyes flickered with recognition. His master had once told him about the four most beautiful women in the Western Domain—women whose beauty was so breathtaking that countless powerful men from various stars were willing to risk their lives just to win their favor.
Among them was Dongfang Xiu, the woman known as the Snow Butterfly Goddess.
Teacher, why doesn't she live with you?" Ye Chen asked, his curiosity evident.
Gu Xuan's expression darkened, and he clutched his chest as if in pain. "It's a long story… She hates me deeply. That's why she refuses to see me."
"Master!" Ye Chen immediately stepped forward, ready to support him.
Gu Xuan took a deep breath, his eyes filled with regret. "I'm sorry, Chen. I can't tell you. Every time I recall my mistake, it feels like my heart is being pierced by a hundred knives. Please understand."
Ye Chen wanted to ask more, but seeing his teacher's current condition, he held back. Instead, he nodded solemnly. "Teacher, I promise… One day, when I have enough strength, I will protect your daughter." He pounded his chest, sealing his vow.
Gu Xuan smiled weakly. "Thank you."
Then, he removed a ring from his finger and handed it to Ye Chen. "Inside this Storage Ring, you'll find several items that will help you advance your cultivation quickly."
Ye Chen hesitated and shook his head. "Teacher, you've already done so much for me. I can't accept this."
"Take it," Gu Xuan insisted. "I prepared it specifically for your journey."
Realizing he had no choice, Ye Chen finally accepted the ring. "Thank you, Teacher."
Gu Xuan nodded. "Inside, you will also find a Teleportation Stone that will take you back to your original planet. I've already taught you how to use it."
Ye Chen clenched his fists. "Teacher, when do you think we will meet again?"
Gu Xuan stroked his beard and smiled faintly. "Only time can answer that."
"Then… See you again, Teacher."
Ye Chen activated the Teleportation Stone, and a swirling black vortex appeared before him. Without hesitation, he leaped into it and disappeared.
As Ye Chen vanished, Gu Xuan let out a sigh of relief. Suddenly—cough!—a stream of blood spurted from his mouth, staining the ground. His body trembled.
"It seems… my time is running out," he murmured weakly.
The reason he hadn't told Ye Chen the truth was simple—he didn't want his disciple to worry.
But before he left this world, there was still one last thing he needed to accomplish.
With determination, Gu Xuan flew toward the horizon, disappearing into the endless sky.
