Journey to become a Sword god

After the trial Kuske escorted Kojiro to the Chiba clan library.

When Kojiro and Kuske entered the library, Kojiro looked around; the library shelves were full of scrolls of different sizes and colors.

However, the library wasn't as big as the shinobi library he had visited two days ago.

Suddenly, Kuske smiled at Kojiro and said to him, "Alright, kid, listen up. You are allowed to choose any two sword styles from this level, but you are not allowed to go upstairs. Do I make myself clear to you, kid?"

Kojiro nodded his head seriously to Kuske and said to him, "I understand. I promise you I will not go upstairs. I am very grateful to the Chiba clan for granting me this opportunity."

Kuske nodded his head in satisfaction. He then gave Kojiro two empty scrolls, and he said to him, "These are empty scrolls for you; you can copy the sword styles you choose in these scrolls. You are not allowed to take the original copy from the library."

Kojiro nodded his head to Kuske; he took the empty scroll from Kuske, and he started browsing the sword styles available in the library.

Kojiro saw many interesting sword styles while browsing through the library, such as heavy mountain sword style, water breath sword style, tyrant sword style, and many other sword styles.

Kojiro didn't know which sword styles he should choose, so he decided to take his time browsing around.

After an hour 

Yaruichi entered the library and she saw Kuske drinking sake while sitting on one of the library tables.

She raised her elegant eyebrows when she saw this; she walked towards Kuske and asked, "What are you doing, Kuske?"

Kuske chuckled when he heard Yaruichi's question, and he answered her, "Old Yama asked me to escort the kid to the library; he also ordered me to keep an eye on him so he doesn't go to the second level of the library."

Yaruichi nodded in understanding; she turned around, and she started walking away.

Kuske raised his eyebrows when he saw this and he asked Yaruichi, "where are you going Yaruichi?"

Yaruichi smiled elegantly at Kuske, and she said to him, "I will go and help the kid choose two sword styles that suit him since you are too lazy to help him."

Kuske chuckled when he heard this, and he nodded his head to her; he then continued drinking his sake.

With Kojiro 

Kojiro sighed in frustration, and then he thought to himself, "What sword styles should I choose? I am not sure which sword styles I should choose."

Suddenly, Kojiro heard a famimine voice behind him, "kid have you chosen yet your. Sword styles or not?"

When Kojiro turned around and saw Yaruichi, he bowed to her politely and said to her, "Not yet, ma'am. To be honest, I am not sure what sword style I should choose because I can only choose two styles."

Yaruichi nodded her head in understanding. She then said to Kojiro, "This is understandable, kid. Don't be discouraged. First, you need to ask yourself what kind of swordsman you want to be before choosing a style."

Kojiro thought for a moment; he then smiled at Yaruichi and said, "I want to be a complete swordsman, ma'am."

Yaruichi widened her eyes in surprise when she heard this; she then burst out laughing, "HAHAHAHA, you are one interesting kid. I will help you choose suitable sword styles."

After calming down, she started explaining to Kojiro, "There are many different styles in swordsmanship. There are styles that focus on speed and precision; there are other styles that focus on strength; also, there are styles that focus on agility and footwork; and finally, there are styles that focus on defense and counterattacks."

Kojiro nodded in understanding, and he kept listening intently to Yaruichi. She then continued her explanation. "Usually every swordsman has an affinity towards one specific swordsmanship style; when the swordsman trains to try to master his affinity swordsmanship style, he usually masters his affinity swordsmanship style faster than other styles. Only geniuses possess multiple swordsmanship styles."

Kojiro's eyes narrowed when he heard this. Yaruichi smirked and thought to herself, "And you are one of those geniuses; you have an affinity for three styles."

Yaruichi then looked Kojiro in the eyes and said to him, "Watching you duel against our young generation, I can tell your swordsmanship affinities swordsmaship styles are strength, defensive counter, agility, and footwork."

"My advice to you is to first focus on honing your swordsmanship affinities styles before mastering the other swordsmanship styles."

Kojiro thought for a moment; he then smirked and nodded his head to Yaruichi, and then he said to her, "Thank you, ma'am."

Yaruichi smiled and nodded to Kojiro. She then saw Kojiro walking away and picked up two scrolls from one of the shelves.

Yaruichi was curious when she saw this, and she asked Kojiro, "What swordsmanship styles did you pick up, kid?"

Kojiro smiled at Yaruichi and said to her, "I picked up the tyrant sword style and heavy mountain sword style, ma'am. I decided to listen to your advice."

Yaruichi smiled and nodded her head in approval.

Kojiro then sat down and started copying the two styles in the scrolls that Kuske gave him.

After copying the styles in the empty scrolls, he returned the original copies back to the shelves; he bowed to Yaruichi politely and exited the library after he bowed again politely to Kuske.

Yaruichi smiled and thought to herself, "Well, I better go and book an appointment with Tsuchikage-sama quickly. I am afraid if I am late, I will miss a good seedling."

After Yaruichi made up her mind, she exited the library.
