Amamiya Natsuki sighed.

"Take a shower first—don't catch a cold."

"Okay." Miko agreed and went to the refrigerator. "Wait in your room for me."

When the fridge opened, a rotten human-headed ghost stared out with dead, fishy eyes fixed on Miko.

She bit her lip nervously. "Natsuki, come get something to drink."

Natsuki approached calmly and reached toward the ghost, activating a halo that repelled evil spirits.

The human-headed ghost screamed, then turned to black smoke and vanished.

Grabbing a can of green tea, Natsuki headed upstairs. "Take a shower."

Miko sighed with relief and turned to open the bathroom door.

Suddenly, her golden eyes widened and her body trembled slightly.

Behind the bathroom door stood a terrifying evil spirit—almost filling the whole space—with insect-like scarlet compound eyes. Their gazes locked.

"You… can see me?"

A cold, hollow voice whispered into her ear.

Miko's body shook as tears welled up.

Too much.

She'd just dealt with the human-headed ghost in the fridge and was finally relaxed—only for this nightmare to appear. She nearly screamed.

"Can you see me?"

The compound-eyed spirit slowly advanced, dozens of eyes fixated on her. The sinister aura thickened, making her vision misty.

"Natsuki—"

Taking a deep breath, Miko gripped the door handle and suddenly spun around. "Want to take a bath together?"

Natsuki was halfway up the stairs and nearly jumped at the shout.

Take a bath together?!

Don't say that in front of your dad—he's looking right this way!

He glanced down to see Miko trembling, tears in her eyes. Understanding dawned, and he hurried back downstairs.

Good move!

Seeing the compound-eyed spirit in the bathroom, Natsuki took a deep breath. No wonder she was so shaken—anyone would be terrified.

"You… can see me?"

The spirit's eyes rolled wildly, staring at Natsuki now.

Without hesitation, Natsuki activated the spirit-repelling aura.

An invisible force filled the bathroom. The spirit screamed as transparent flames burned over its body, and then it vanished.

Natsuki gently touched Miko's tear-streaked head. "Forget it for today. We can take a bath together next time."

Taking a bath with someone else's daughter in front of her dad? That's too embarrassing!

"I'll go upstairs first." Natsuki pulled out his phone and waved it at Miko. "Message me if anything happens."

Miko nodded, clutching her phone, and entered the bathroom.

Natsuki went upstairs to Miko's room and sat down to read a book.

Nothing else happened.

Half an hour later, the door opened, and Miko walked in wearing pajamas.

Natsuki turned toward her, his vision weighed down by an indescribable gravity—the adjective heavy instantly coming to mind.

I have to say, my childhood sweetheart has a slender, lovely figure.

If Kaguya is the milk volume standard, Miko is at least five Kaguyas!

"Aren't you here to help me?"

Miko's cheeks flushed as she gestured with her chin, "You can lie down now."
