Keeping the Promise After Rebirth

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: This Young Man Had A Brilliant And Unstoppable Future

"I know Aunt Wu, I have just been too self-centered and stupid. I chose to believe what other people told me not understanding that they have their own selfish motives." Said Weiwei with a bright smile on her face.

" I am going to work out our issues and protect my marriage. You don't have to worry anymore."

"That is really good, Young Madam, you have no idea how happy that makes me. I hope soon there will be a little person running around here." Aunt Wu said as she started to laugh.

"It's still early Aunt Wu, also, I am still in school and need to concentrate on my studies. We'll wait for another year or two before we can talk about having babies." Replied Weiwei.

"It's enough that you are even considering it. Let's go downstairs. I made you chicken porridge, it will give you energy and help you heal faster." Suggested Aunt Wu, as she remembered why she had come in the first place. She was so happy to see the sudden change in Weiwei that she almost forgot her purpose of coming to look for her.

"Okay, let's go. And could you please move Mo Shian's things back to the master bedroom? Also, the room that Xinya usually stays in, clean it up and turn it into my studio. I will be using it as my workstation from now on." Weiwei did not miss the look of contempt and disdain on Aunt Wu's face when she mentioned Xinya staying over. It was clear that Aunt Wu knew the genesis of her problems with Mo Shian, but since Weiwei was so protective of her 'sister' she never mentioned it, even in her previous life.

"Young madam, where will Miss Xinya stay when she comes over?" asked Aunt Wu as they descended the stairs.

"She will not be staying at our house anymore. Also, after this week is over she will not be allowed into Josen Garden anymore, so don't worry." Josen Garden was the name of the villa they lived in.

"Don't worry Young madam, everything will be done as you instructed." Replied Aunt Wu with the smile on her face widening. Anybody could tell the news had made her extremely happy. They both walked into the dining room while smiling and Aunt Wu served Weiwei breakfast.

Inside conference room A used to receive VIP guests at Mo Corporation, sat five men and one woman. The man at the head of the rectangular conference table was in his early to mid-twenties. He had piercingly cold blue eyes that resembled the ocean and spoke of danger that would befall you if you ever crossed his bottom line. His nose was straight and one of the many attractive features on his excessively and sinfully handsome face. He had thin lips that would make any woman dream about kissing them every time he opened them to talk. His chiseled chin was so sharp it could potentially cut a diamond and just made women's hands itch to touch it. He had bushy eyebrows and long lashes that flattered every time he blinked and would put the false lashes women wear to shame. This was Mo Shian, the CEO of Mo Corporation, and Xia Weiwei's husband.

The two men on his right and left were his personal assistant and lawyer, respectively. At the other side of the table sat Mr. Clinton, the CEO of CY Corporation. To his right sat his lawyer, who appeared to be in his forties, and to his left was his female secretary who looked like she had just graduated from university and was giving Mo Shian suggestive looks, which he totally ignored, or probably didn't notice at all. He had been accused of not noticing any other woman apart from his wife before. So, it did not come as a surprise to his personal assistant that the woman was making so much effort to get noticed, yet his boss did not even seem to realize there was a woman in the room.

"Mr. Mo, I almost thought that you had changed your mind and did not want our partnership anymore when you postponed our meeting this morning." Said Mr. Clinton, who seemed to be in his forties, but Mo Shian knew that he was already over fifty. He took good care of himself.

"How is that possible, Mr. Clinton, we have been working on this partnership for two years. I couldn't just change my mind on a wimp about it. It is important for both our companies to undertake the proposed project. It will propel both our companies to new heights." Replied Mo Shian with a deadpan expression.

"So, what made you postpone a meeting that was set two months ago? It must have been extremely important." Asked Mr. Clinton, as his curiosity got the better of him.

He had studied the file with Mo Shian's information and he knew that the man was very serious about business and potentially dangerous. Even though he was only twenty-four years old, he was more intelligent than normal human beings. Some would refer to him as a genius. He had skipped grades and graduated from high school at the age of fifteen, did his postgraduate, and obtained his Master's degree in business management by the age of nineteen. He then joined the army and served for two years, retiring with the rank of a Major, then joined his family business and took over as the CEO of Mo Corporation from his father six months later. In the two and half years he had been the CEO, he had expanded the business and grown it into a multinational corporation with its stock prices rising over two hundred percent. The profits and assets of the company had also grown over a hundred percent in less than three years. That was the reason he had finally agreed to the partnership with the Mo Corporation. This young man had a brilliant and unstoppable future.
