Chapter 59: Chapter 59 : The Wise

Upon seeing this, Dumbledore also looked at everyone with a slight surprise on his face.

Noticing that all eyes were fixed on Lily and Augusta, he smiled and said, "It seems that in places unknown to us, some people have lived many wonderful adventures."

"Mrs. Longbottom, could you tell us about your adventure?"

When Augusta heard Dumbledore's question, she couldn't help but glance at Lily.

Seeing Lily return her gaze with a helpless expression, she had no choice but to recount the battle that took place in the underground safe house.

"When we discovered that someone was attacking the protective barrier outside the safe house, Anduin suggested we establish an inner defensive line . . . and then, under Anduin's control, we managed to take down the individual who had drunk the Blood Potion," Augusta recounted the previous battle in meticulous detail.

Listening to Augusta's account, Milliicent Bagnold couldn't help but feel secretly astonished.

It was outrageous that Death Eaters had stealthily infiltrated the refuge to specifically attack women, children, and the elderly who were hiding there.

Milison clenched her teeth in anger and asked, confused, "Then, how did a Death Eater die? From what you said, it seems no one was killed."

"That was me, Minister!" Moody, who was nearby, interrupted, and then once again recounted what happened when he entered the refuge.

"Evan Rosier was completely out of his mind, shouting 'Long live the Dark Lord!' and casting a Killing Curse —an Avada Kedavra— at Anduin and little Harry. If Anduin hadn't reacted quickly and interfered, that curse would have struck someone. Seeing the urgency of the moment, I cast a Killing Curse back at him," Moody said with a malicious smile, giving the impression of a deranged killer to anyone who didn't know him.

"Hmm, in a critical moment there is no room for mercy. I declare your use of the Unforgivable Curses on this occasion a legitimate act of law enforcement," Minister Milliicent Bagnold said firmly, immediately declaring Moody's use of the curses legal.

Then, looking at Anduin, she added, "Mr. Anduin Wilson, I declare your use of magic outside of campus this time a lawful act. Moreover, your performance during the crisis was brave and astute. Not only did you help capture four Death Eaters in the refuge, but you also protected a child at a critical moment. I will apply for commendations and rewards for you, especially considering you are still an underage wizard. Please continue to work hard."

Anduin's eyes lit up upon hearing these words.

No wonder everyone he knew said this new Minister was extremely clever and capable.

Now he finally understood well.

Commendations were fine; he did not want to become too famous yet, as that would make him a target.

But upon learning that rewards were also involved, his joy soared.

"This is what I was supposed to do. I cannot stand idly by while my friends suffer harm because of this," Anduin said with contained enthusiasm, yet still spoke grandly.

Minister Milliicent Bagnold nodded approvingly after hearing Anduin, then encouraged and praised Lily and the others one by one before ordering Moody to bring out the prisoners and the bodies.

Dumbledore, who had been watching everything, smiled and nodded as well.

Upon hearing about the battle in the basement, he could not help but look at Anduin several more times.

He sharply sensed that the fact they had emerged unharmed and with good results was largely due to Anduin's leadership and his use of magic at critical moments.

He thought to himself, "He seems like another young man with a limitless future. When I return, I must take some time to get to know him better. But do these Death Eaters always try to infiltrate and attack women and children at decisive moments of battle? And from Evan Rosier's series of actions, it's very likely he received direct orders from Tom. It seems that the Child of Prophecy, whether Harry or Neville, is also a great concern for our Dark Lord."

Dumbledore pondered the connection between the two Children of Prophecy and Lord Voldemort, and considered how to respond to the Death Eaters' actions.

Voldemort's target was clearly either Harry or Neville, but which one exactly?

It seemed he would have to find a way to contact Snape again.

On the other hand, after hearing Augusta's narration, James sincerely apologized to Lily: "I'm sorry, Lily, I wasn't there for you or our son in such a dangerous moment. I failed in my duty as a husband."

Lily comforted him, "Don't say such things. No one could have imagined something like this happening. The reason I didn't want to talk about it before was because I was afraid you'd worry. Instead of apologizing, you should thank Anduin. He saved Harry's life."

James nodded and searched for Anduin with his eyes.

At that moment, Anduin had already approached Sirius.

Seeing them talking, he did not intervene to avoid interrupting, thinking he would properly compensate and thank Anduin later.

Anduin approached Sirius's side, noticing his disheveled appearance, and smiled as he said, "You look pretty hurt. Can you still move?"

Sirius coughed several times, trying to appear strong: "Hmm, what's that? I could fight another battle without any problem. It's just a lung injury."

It turned out Sirius had charged too fiercely in the previous battle and a Death Eater had pierced his chest with a 'Sectumsempra' spell, making it difficult for him to breathe and speak.

At that moment, Dumbledore also approached and said, "Sirius, let's go. We need to get you quickly to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Although your injury has been superficially treated, you still need to remain in the hospital for a while."

Sirius had originally wanted to stay brave, but Anduin playfully poked his wound, causing Sirius to cough violently for a long time, leaving him almost speechless and only able to glare angrily at Anduin.

After a while, Sirius said, "Cough, what about Anduin? Leaving that kid alone at my house worries me a bit, although he should be able to take care of himself."

At that moment, James leaned over and said, "It's okay, go to the hospital with peace of mind. Anduin can stay with me for now. Tomorrow I'll take him to get his luggage."

Sirius nodded resignedly and then looked sternly at Anduin, saying, "Kid, don't try to show off like today again, or sooner or later you'll end up stumbling."

Anduin looked at Sirius, who despite being injured still cared about others, and replied, "Speaking of showing off, you're the best. Look at the state you've gotten yourself into."

Then he turned to Headmaster Dumbledore and said, "Professor, there's something I'd like to ask for your help with."
