Lycans Base

While Lucian and Cortana were enjoying their debauchery in the soul space, the Lycans continued their research to get stronger.

"You got what you want, why don't you guys let me go?" Michael shouted, looking at Singe who had tied him up. His anger was palpable, but he knew it was useless.

"Yes, you are what we are looking for, but you are not the only one we need," Singe said, looking at Michael with side eyes, before continuing to look at the microscope.

"Wonderful," Singe said with delight, as he saw the virus adapting, combining from Michael's unawakened virus. He glanced at Lucian, who was still pacing back and forth, holding a phone.

"When will we attack the vampires?" Singe asked.

Lucian stopped walking, turning towards Singe with a grim face.

"Kraven is not answering," Lucian said with dread. They were so close, they only needed an elder's blood, but without Kraven's help, he couldn't know when Amelia, the only elder awake, would come. He was worried that they were losing time.

"Why not just attack them, we only just need one," Singe said with a frown. He always didn't trust Kraven, and now they have a chance to rise up and get stronger than the vampires. His impatience was growing.

Lucian crossed his arms, while his right fingers tapped the phone in his right hand, thinking for a moment before shaking his head.

"No, that's too risky. You know how strong the Elders are, even if we caught them in surprise, and we will only lose the only connection we got that's willing to kill the elders," Lucian said. He didn't want to risk losing his army, then losing his connection to the only vampire who could point them to an elder's location. He needed a more strategic approach.

"The only thing we can do is to have an opportunity to attack Amelia in surprise," Lucian said, while walking in front of Michael. "And we need Kraven for that," he added, while observing Michael. At first, he had wanted to bite Michael, giving him the Lycan virus, but he decided to wait until he got the Elder's blood. After all, if he bit Michael and turned him into a Lycan, it would only give Michael strength to escape. Unlike now, he was chained up on a wall, unable to resist.

"And how long do we have to wait?" Singe grunted with frustration. He agreed with Lucian's decision. He knew fully well of the Elder's strength, but he couldn't help but hurry, when the thing that would make them a hybrid was close at hand.

Lucian didn't answer, because the answer would only irritate Singe further. When Lucian was trying to think of a better answer for Singe, the door of the laboratory opened as Raze got in.

"He's here," Raze announced with a frown, as soon as he entered, Raze didn't like the way that vampires came to their hideout.

The door behind Raze slides open then someone pushes Raze to the side.

"Get away," Kraven pushed Raze away, walking towards Lucian, taking a look at Michael who was tied up on the wall. While he led a group of vampires inside.

Raze snarled at Kraven, before raising his left arm to the side, stopping the vampires on their tracks, before turning around. He was still simmering with anger from the earlier encounter.

Soren looked at the arm that stopped them before looking up, seeing Raze's face. "Step away, Mutt," Soren said with spite and disgust, looking at the Lycan. He was used to being in charge, and he didn't like being challenged.

"This is not a place you can just go to, Vampire," Raze snarled with anger. His eyes turned completely pale blue, showing his fury towards the vampire. He was about to transform into a Lycan. Raze always hated Soren, who was Kraven's bodyguard. Soren had been one of the torturers of the Lycans when they were slaves.

Soren frowned, seeing this, taking a step back. He knew fully well that it was stupid to irritate a Lycan in their den. He looked at Kraven, waiting for his order.

Kraven saw their little scuffle, so he decided to let the other vampires out of the room first.

Kraven nodded towards Soren, signaling that he was fine alone.

"Tsk," Soren clicked his tongue towards Raze with irritation, before leading the vampires out of the room.

Raze began to calm down, as a smug smirk appeared on his lips, before closing the door completely.

Lucian just silently looked at Kraven, as the room finally became quiet again.

"Although we might be allies this time, you can't just come here unannounced," Lucian snarled threateningly at Kraven.

Kraven didn't just look at Lucian with anger. "Do you think I want to come here if I have a choice?!" Kraven shouted, while raising his arm that was cut off. He was clearly agitated, and his anger was not directed solely at Lucian.

"Looks like, you vampires finally pissed off someone you shouldn't," Lucian said, smirking with a raised brow, looking at Kraven's arm. Although they were allies, they both just wanted to use the other person to their own gain.

"Do you think it is funny?!" Kraven shouted, looking at Lucian, then turning towards Singe and Raze in the room. They had a smile on their faces.

"The one who attacked us was the one hunting you guys," Kraven said, as he looked at them with disdain, seeing their smiles disappear. "Who do you think he's going to come after next?" Kraven looks at them with cold eyes.

Lucian's eyes narrowed, hearing Kraven's words, while Singe and Raze shared a look.

"If that's true, why did you go here? And not back to your coven?" Lucian asked, skeptical about Kraven's story. 'If it's true he wants to lead the one that attacked them to us,' Lucian thought as his eyes flashed with dangerous light. He was already suspicious of Kraven's motives.

"Coven? Huh," Kraven scoffed, hearing Lucian's words, before continuing. "Where do you think that man attacked? He attacked us in our own home, killing us one by one. We're the only ones that escaped," Kraven said, but his voice became weaker as he remembered how the masked man just kept on killing them, one by one.

Lucian's eyes widened, while Singe and Raze froze in shock. Lucian finally reacted, smacking down his hands on the table. "Are you saying even the two elders in your coven are dead?! Impossible!" Lucian didn't want to believe that someone had already killed Viktor. His revenge was so close.

Kraven became silent, before shaking his head slowly, then lowering it.

"I want to say no, but I don't know fully well. The attack was so sudden. We don't have enough time to wake the elders up fully. I'm hoping the three of them died," Kraven said grimly, before looking up to Lucian.

"But if the ones that attacked us were still alive, then they're coming after you. I come here to warn you," Kraven said towards Lucian. He wanted to show his goodwill towards his ally. But the truth was Kraven was afraid that the masked man wouldn't stop chasing after them, so he thought of the Lycans using them as cannon fodder against the masked man, before he called backups or escaped towards the other covens.

Lucian looks at Kraven silently, not believing the words coming out from his mouth, but he knew the one who attacked the vampires was a more significant threat.

'If he survived, then that means he had killed two elders,' Lucian thought, turning to Michael, who was looking at them with a mix of curiosity and fear.

Lucian knew he needed to plan to complete the plan much faster, otherwise, they're the ones who would die if they didn't accomplish their goals. They needed to get stronger. 'Or even immune to silver,' Lucian knew that becoming a hybrid could help them overcome the lethal weakness of a Lycan.

"Amelia, what news do you have about Amelia?" Lucian asked Kraven. wanting to finish their plan eagerly.

"Do you still want to kill them at this time? When someone is coming after you guys?!" Kraven asked with narrowed eyes. He saw the way Lucian looked at Michael when he was talking.

"There's no time. Maybe the one that attacked you already knows you are here. At least let me end her," Lucian said, trying to hide his goal. He needed Amelia's blood, and he was willing to do anything to get it.

Kraven became silent, hearing Lucian, but his mind kept thinking about Michael, who was a human. Trying to figure out what was special about the human.

"What makes him so interesting?" Kraven asked while looking at Michael.

"That's none of your concern," Lucian said, "Remember you owe me." Lucian glared at Kraven, warning Kraven of his place, While Lucian was already starting to make plans for what to do with Michael.

"Amelia said she's coming tomorrow evening," Kraven said slowly.

"My men will lead you if you want," Kraven decided that when Lucian and the Lycans left, he would figure out what was special about Michael and find what the Lycans were planning. As he walks towards the door.

Lucian looks at Kraven's back for a second.

"No, you are the one leading us," Lucian said. He didn't trust the vampire for a second and he wanted to keep Michael safe and hidden from the vampires. he didn't want the vampires knowing about their plans after all if being a hybrid works for them they will work for the vampires as well.

"As you wish," Kraven said with a slight sneer as he opened the door, stepping out into the hallway. He was glad to be out of that room, but he was still suspicious of the Lycans and their plans. He glanced back at Lucian as he walked down the hallway leading the vampires.
