Knight of Magic: The Rise of Arisia

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: The Summoning of the Artifacts

In the ancient and mysterious magic tower, each floor seemed to be an independent world. The tower, towering into the clouds, had been eroded by countless years, showing signs of great age. Every stone seemed to tell a story that spanned thousands of years. The cold stone slabs wound beneath their feet, like a path leading to an unknown world, luring people to keep moving forward. Jack and Alice closely followed the steps of the wizard in front of them. Their footsteps echoed on the cold stone slabs, and accompanied by the thick magical aura pervading the air, every step seemed to tread on the dust of history.

On the stone walls all around, strange magic runes were carved. They emitted a faint light, like stars in the night sky, twinkling with a mysterious glow. Those runes seemed to be telling ancient legends, making people can't help but want to explore the stories behind them. A suffocating magical aura filled the air, making people feel breathless while also being full of endless temptation.

Suddenly, a huge stone door appeared in front of them. It was like an impregnable barrier, separating them from the unknown world. The stone door was engraved with complex magic arrays, which emitted a powerful magical fluctuation, as if they would devour anyone who dared to touch it at any moment.

The wizard's face showed a solemn and serious expression. He knew very well that the seal of this stone door was no trivial matter. He muttered incantations under his breath and his hands danced rapidly in the air, trying to unlock this ancient and mysterious seal. However, just as he was about to touch the stone door, the entire stone door seemed to be activated by an invisible force and vibrated violently. A powerful energy wave gushed out from the stone door, hitting the wizard hard and sending him flying like a huge dragon.

Seeing this, Jack and Alice quickly stepped forward to help the injured wizard up. His face was as pale as paper, big beads of sweat rolled down from his forehead, and he gasped for breath as he said, "The seal of this stone door... has been reinforced by the dark power... We must find a way to break it..." His voice was weak and trembling, obviously this blow was quite severe for him.

Looking at the wizard's weak appearance, Jack was filled with worry. He suddenly remembered the magical treasure he had accidentally obtained in the ruins - it was a treasure emitting a mysterious light, as if it contained infinite power. He quickly took out the treasure and injected his magic power into it. The treasure instantly emitted a dazzling light, like a bright pearl, illuminating the entire space. That light echoed with the magic array on the stone door, as if there was an invisible force flowing between them.

Under the illumination of the light, the seal on the stone door began to gradually dissipate. Those complex magic arrays seemed to be erased little by little by an invisible force, and in their place was a smooth stone wall. With a dull thud, the stone door slowly opened, and a stale and mysterious aura rushed towards them. It was as if they had entered a brand-new world, a world full of unknowns and dangers.

In the center of the chamber, a golden sword hovered in the air. The light it emitted illuminated the entire chamber, like a sword of dawn breaking through the darkness. That was one of the three artifacts they had been searching for - the Dawnbreaker Sword. Jack slowly walked forward and reached out to grasp the hilt of the sword. The moment he touched the hilt, a powerful force instantly surged into his body, as if there was an invisible force flowing within him. He felt the endless power contained in this sword, as if it could cut through all the darkness.

However, just as they were about to leave the chamber, a shrill cry suddenly sounded. A group of ghosts formed by dark magic emerged from all directions and surrounded them. The figures of those ghosts loomed in the darkness, as terrifying as demons crawling out of hell. They let out shrill cries and waved their sharp claws as they pounced on them.

Jack waved the Dawnbreaker Sword, and the golden light of the sword flashed in the darkness, like streaks of golden lightning piercing the night sky. Every time he waved the sword, he could repel the ghosts several meters away. Alice cast spells to provide support for Jack. Her magical light intertwined with the light of Jack's sword, forming an impregnable barrier that blocked the ghosts out. The wizard also joined the battle. As he waved his magic wand, streaks of mysterious light shot towards the ghosts, crushing them one by one.

However, those ghosts seemed to emerge continuously from the darkness as if they were endless and could never be completely defeated. At this moment, the wizard suddenly shouted, "These ghosts are being controlled by the dark power! We must find their controller!" His voice echoed in the chamber, reminding Jack and Alice.

Upon hearing the wizard's words, Jack and Alice immediately began to search everywhere for the controller of the ghosts. They carefully searched every corner of the chamber, not missing any suspicious clue. Finally, in an inconspicuous corner, they found a person in a black robe. The person in the black robe was holding a black crystal ball in his hand and continuously injecting dark power into the ghosts. A ferocious and evil smile appeared on his face, as if he was enjoying this killing feast he had created.

Seeing this scene, Jack and Alice instantly understood that the person in the black robe in front of them was the controller of those ghosts. They exchanged a glance and charged towards the person in the black robe simultaneously with a tacit understanding. Sensing the danger, the person in the black robe wanted to escape, but he had already been trapped by the magic cast by the wizard. He struggled and roared, but it was all in vain. Jack waved the Dawnbreaker Sword, and a golden sword qi sliced through the air and shot towards the person in the black robe. The person in the black robe let out a scream and instantly vanished into thin air. With the disappearance of the person in the black robe, those ghosts also dissipated into the void one after another.

After defeating the ghosts, they had no intention of stopping. Because they knew that time was of the essence. Only by finding the remaining two artifacts as soon as possible could they prevent the dark power from devouring the Heart of Light and save the continent of Elysia. There were still more dangers and challenges waiting for them to face in the depths of the magic tower. They had to move forward bravely and fearlessly.
