Knight of Magic: The Rise of Arisia

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: The Lost Maze

Having just broken free from the siege of the ghosts, Jack, Alice, and the wizard didn't have time to think about anything else. They immediately stepped into a deeper part of the magic tower and continued their journey to find the remaining two artifacts. They walked slowly along a narrow passage that was only wide enough for one person to pass through. On the walls on both sides of the passage, ancient magic runes flickered with a faint light in the darkness, as if whispering the deep secrets hidden within the magic tower.

Step by step, they moved forward cautiously, afraid of disrupting the seemingly peaceful arrangement of the runes and triggering unknown mechanisms. However, as they went deeper, a huge circular room suddenly appeared ahead of them. The floor of the room was engraved with magic arrays that were more complex and mysterious than those on the walls. Colorful lights flowed within the arrays, which were dazzling.

The moment they stepped into this room, the surrounding scene changed dramatically in an instant. The originally narrow passage disappeared without a trace, and in its place was a huge and intricate building that resembled a maze. The walls of the maze were made of magic crystals as hard as steel, emitting a cold and profound light that made people shiver with fear.

Jack and Alice tried to find the exit, but no matter how hard they tried, they always ended up back at the starting point, as if the maze was under a spell. The wizard, with a frown on his face, observed the magic arrays around him with sharp eyes. He knew very well that this maze was no ordinary thing, but was blessed by ancient and powerful magic.

In order to find a way to solve the maze, the three of them began to search carefully for clues in the maze. They found that some strange symbols occasionally appeared on the walls of the maze, and these symbols seemed to have some mysterious connection with the magic arrays on the floor. Jack and Alice groped along the walls, not missing any possible corner.

Finally, in an inconspicuous corner, Alice discovered a hidden groove. The shape of this groove was astonishingly similar to a symbol they had seen in the ruins before. Her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly called Jack and the wizard over. Looking at the groove in front of them, a glint flashed in the wizard's eyes. He concluded that this groove was likely the key to solving the maze.

Upon hearing this, Jack immediately took out the magic stone he had obtained in the ruins from his bosom. The shape of this magic stone fit perfectly into the groove, as if it had been tailor-made for it. He carefully placed the magic stone into the groove, and immediately the light of the magic array became much brighter, illuminating the entire maze as brightly as day.

As the magic array was activated, the walls of the maze also began to move slowly. The three of them watched the surrounding changes nervously, for fear of missing any opportunity. Finally, as the walls moved, a passage leading deeper into the tower gradually emerged. They exchanged a smile, their hearts filled with anticipation and joy, while also remaining vigilant against any danger that might arise at any moment.

However, as soon as they stepped out of the maze, they were besieged by a group of guardian beasts. These guardian beasts were huge in size, looking like giant pythons. Their whole bodies were covered with impenetrable black scales, and their eyes sparkled with a bloodthirsty red light. They opened their huge mouths wide and spewed out blazing black flames, surrounding the three of them.

Facing this sudden attack, Jack fearlessly stepped forward to meet it. He held the Dawnbreaker Sword in his hand tightly, and the golden light on the sword blade was particularly dazzling in the dark. He waved the long sword, slashing out streaks of golden sword qi, which collided fiercely with the black flames of the guardian beasts.

Alice, on the other hand, gave full play to her expertise as a wizard and launched powerful magic attacks from the rear. She perfectly combined the water and ice elements, forming icy and sharp icicles that shot towards the weak points of the guardian beasts. These icicles traced beautiful arcs in the air and then accurately hit their targets, slowing down the movement speed of the guardian beasts to the extreme.

The wizard also joined the battle without being outdone. Streaks of mysterious and powerful light continuously shot out from the tip of his magic wand, and these lights intertwined in the air to form a huge net that firmly trapped the guardian beasts within it. While fighting, he observed the weak points of the guardian beasts, looking for the best time to attack.

During the intense battle, the attacks of the guardian beasts became more and more fierce. The black flames surged forward like a tide, almost submerging the three of them. However, they had no intention of giving up. Instead, they became even more determined to find the artifacts. They fought side by side, cooperated with each other, and jointly resisted the fierce attacks of the guardian beasts.

After a tough battle, the wizard finally discovered the weak point of the guardian beasts - their heads. He shouted out this discovery to Jack and Alice. Upon hearing this, Jack and Alice immediately adjusted their attack methods and concentrated their main attack power on the heads of the guardian beasts.

Under the concerted attack of the three of them, the heads of the guardian beasts were finally hit. As painful roars sounded one after another, the guardian beasts fell to the ground one by one and lost their ability to move. Looking at the tragic scene of the guardian beasts' bodies lying all over the ground and the black scales and golden blood scattered around, the three of them couldn't help but heave a long sigh of relief - they had finally defeated the powerful group of guardian beasts!

After defeating the guardian beasts, the three of them didn't stay or rest for too long. Instead, they continued to move forward. At the end of the passage, a door emitting a soft light slowly came into their view. They knew that the remaining artifacts were likely waiting for them behind this door.
