Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Right Eye Lost

Hokage's Office

Shimura Danzō sat silently behind his desk, the dim light casting long shadows across the room. His sharp eyes narrowed into a cold slit as he muttered under his breath, "Has the Uchiha finally chosen to rebel?"

He had laid the groundwork meticulously. His plan was proceeding exactly as he had hoped — the so-called 'evil' Uchiha clan was finally being led into a trap.

The moment the Uchiha dared to take a rebellious step, Danzō would strike them down with thunder and lightning, crushing the clan utterly and sending them all to an early grave.

His lips curled into a cruel smile at the thought.

At that moment, Uchiha Shisui stepped into the room, his expression grim but determined. His voice was calm but urgent.

"Hokage-sama, please, I have a way to resolve the conflict between the village and the clan peacefully. You must believe me."

Danzō scoffed coldly, his tone biting. "Uchiha Fugaku has already made his decision to rebel. What makes you think you can stop him?"

Shisui's gaze fell. He bit his lip, but he didn't give up. He lifted his head and met Danzō's eyes squarely. "Hokage-sama, with my eyes alone, I can prevent this disaster."

Danzō's gaze sharpened involuntarily, flickering toward Shisui's eyes. There, the familiar pattern of three magatama slowly began spinning, aligning perfectly until a brilliant dart-like design formed.

His eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

"Is this... the legendary Mangekyō Sharingan?" he gasped.

The room fell silent.

Shimura Danzō's mind raced. This was the very power he had sought for years — the secret eye technique said to grant its wielder extraordinary power.

If he could possess the Mangekyō Sharingan, combined with the Hashirama cells already within him, his strength would soar to unprecedented heights.

No longer would he be a mere puppet master in the shadows — he would rise above all and lead Konoha to dominate the entire ninja world.

Shisui was unaware of the dark thoughts swirling in Danzō's mind. Calmly, he continued, "Hokage-sama, my ability — Kotoamatsukami — allows me to subtly influence and modify the will of others without them realizing it."

Danzō's eyes went wide with shock and fear. "You… you can control others' will? That power... it's terrifying."

Shisui nodded solemnly. "Yes. I have resolved to use my Mangekyō to change the minds of those who plan rebellion — to make them abandon their coup against the village."

Originally, Shisui had intended to keep this ability a secret, but with the village's future hanging in the balance, he had no choice.

Danzō's gaze turned cautious, his smile thin and measured. "If that is your resolve, then I will entrust this mission to you."

Shisui's eyes burned with conviction. "For the sake of the village, I swear I will succeed."

Danzō leaned forward, his voice dropping to a whisper as he signaled Shisui closer. "This is a delicate matter. We will discuss the details shortly."

Trusting the Hokage's words, Shisui stepped forward.

But as he approached, Danzō's hand, which had been hidden behind his back, shot out with lightning speed, grabbing Shisui's right eye.

Before Shisui could react, Danzō ruthlessly gouged out the eye.

Shisui stumbled back in shock, clutching his wounded socket. "Hokage-sama, why... why would you do this to me?"

Danzō removed the bandage from his own eye and stuffed Shisui's mangekyō eye into the hollow. "Your eyes are dangerous weapons, Shisui. I cannot allow anything that threatens the village to go unchecked."

A deep anger and betrayal flashed across Shisui's face. "So this is what the leaders of the village are truly like? No wonder the clan leader and his men sought to rebel."

Danzō's expression was cold as ice. "Take out his other eye as well."

Without warning, a group of Anbu and Root operatives burst into the room, surrounding Shisui instantly.

His mind raced. The very will of fire — the love and loyalty to the village — that he had carried so proudly now felt shattered and betrayed.

But he did not despair. Calmly, Shisui drew his weapon from behind his back.

The Anbu rushed forward to attack.

But Shisui's Sharingan flared, his left eye burning with an ominous crimson glow.

"Oh no!" the Anbu captain cried, falling under Shisui's genjutsu. With a swift, precise strike, Shisui took him down.

Another Anbu shouted, "Don't look him in the eyes!"

But it was too late.

One after another, Shisui's foes fell to his prowess and illusions.

Shimura Danzō watched grimly from the sidelines, surprised at Shisui's overwhelming skill. He had underestimated the Uchiha's strength.

Sensing the reinforcements arriving rapidly, Shisui knew he could not hold the battle for long.

He broke through the line suddenly, sprinting toward the massive floor-to-ceiling window beside Danzō.

"Crack!"

The glass shattered as Shisui leapt out, escaping into the night.

Those inside rushed to the window, seeing Shisui's figure disappearing down the street toward the Uchiha clan territory.

Danzō's voice cut through the chaos: "After him! If he reaches the clan, this will only get worse!"

The Anbu and Root operatives spilled out of the Hokage's office and gave chase.

Alone now in the silent office, Danzō gently cradled the stolen Mangekyō Sharingan in his hand, a dark excitement shining in his eyes.

"This power will be mine."

Outside in the Village

Whispers and rumors spread quickly among the villagers.

"What happened back at the Hokage's office?" one asked.

"Did the Anbu really come looking for spies?" another whispered nervously.

"I heard it was Uchiha Shisui — the clan's prodigy — being chased down by Root," a third said in disbelief.

Shisui ran through the streets, his body battered and bleeding from numerous attacks. Behind him, Anbu and Root operatives hurled shurikens and unleashed deadly jutsu, forcing him into desperate evasions.

His chest heaved, pain radiating through his body, but Shisui gritted his teeth. He was close now — the Uchiha clan territory was just ahead.

"My eyes must not fall into Shimura Danzō's hands," he thought fiercely, adrenaline fueling his flight.

Ahead, dozens of Anbu waited, blocking the way.

"Damn it!" Shisui cursed under his breath.

Without hesitation, he turned sharply and headed for the village gate instead.

His pursuers hesitated for a brief moment, surprised by his sudden change of direction — but quickly recovered and gave chase.

The Chase Intensifies

The streets of Konoha were thrown into turmoil as the Anbu and Root operatives pursued Shisui relentlessly.

Villagers peered out from behind shuttered windows, watching the frantic chase unfold.

"Who is that?" some whispered.

"That's Uchiha Shisui," a man said quietly. "He's one of the most talented in the clan. Why would he be running from the Hokage's men?"

Shisui's mind was torn between survival and the fate of the village.

If Danzō captured his eyes, the power they held could be used for terrible things.

But if the rebellion in the clan succeeded, the village would plunge into chaos and bloodshed.

His body screamed for rest, but Shisui pushed forward with every ounce of strength he had left.

Back at the Hokage's Office

Shimura Danzō sat silently, his mind racing through every possible plan to retrieve the stolen eye.

He stroked the Mangekyō Sharingan thoughtfully.

"If I can combine this with the Hashirama cells, I will become unstoppable."

But first, he needed to find Shisui — and soon.
