An anxious Anbu rushed into the room, breaking the tense silence. "Hokage, Uchiha Fugaku and his clansmen are advancing—they intend to kill us!"

The words sent a ripple of shock through the assembled Anbu. The Uchiha were one of Konoha's most prominent clans, known for their pride and strength. The very idea of them staging a rebellion was unthinkable to many. But here it was, unfolding right before their eyes.

"What do we do now?" murmurs echoed, eyes darting nervously around the room.

Yet amidst the rising panic, one man remained unnervingly calm: Shimura Danzō. His eyes gleamed coldly as a slight, almost sinister smile curled his lips.

Haha! The Uchiha have finally taken the bait. Now, all that's left is to watch them destroy themselves.

Danzō's voice cut through the murmurs with a chilling calmness, "If the Uchiha wish to rebel, then let us see if they truly have the strength to do so."

He cast a sharp glance toward the shadows where two figures stirred. "Aburame Takegen, Yamanaka Peter, you two will lead the Root operatives to intercept the Uchiha."

From the shadows stepped Aburame Takegen and Yamanaka Peter. They knelt on one knee before Danzō and spoke in unison, their voices steady and resolute. "We promise to complete the mission, Lord Danzō."

Rising, they moved swiftly out of the Hokage's office, disappearing into the corridors of the village.

Danzō watched their retreating forms with a satisfied nod. These two had always been his most reliable subordinates, capable of ruthless efficiency. He was confident that they could hold back the Uchiha's assault—for a while, at least.

Turning his gaze to the remaining Anbu, he commanded, "The Uchiha have rebelled. Konoha's regime is in grave danger. Return to your clans immediately. Inform your clan leaders of this uprising. Let them rally their families to aid me."

The Anbu nodded in acknowledgment and quickly dispersed, blending into the shadows of Konoha. Most of them hailed from various prominent families, and Danzō expected that their leaders would rally without hesitation.

What Danzō did not realize was the deep reluctance that festered among the clan leaders. Their willingness to aid him was far from certain.

An Anbu from the Sarutobi clan bowed deeply before the head of the family. "Master clan leader, the Uchiha have initiated a coup. The Hokage requests that we send troops to assist."

Sarutobi Hiruzen, the clan patriarch, regarded the Anbu calmly. "Remember, your identity as a Sarutobi comes before your role as an Anbu," he said thoughtfully.

The Anbu quickly removed his mask, kneeling lower as he replied, "I understand, Master."

Hiruzen took a slow drag from his pipe, exhaling a plume of smoke before continuing with a small, knowing smile. "Since Danzō has chosen to confront the Uchiha head-on, then he and his closest followers must bear the full brunt of the clan's wrath."

His words were laced with quiet contempt. Hiruzen had never trusted Danzō. He still harbored resentment over the scandal involving Uchiha Shisui—Danzō's treacherous theft of Shisui's eyes, which eventually drove the proud Uchiha shinobi to despair and death.

That incident had ignited fury within the Uchiha clan. Their deployment of troops was not a coup in the traditional sense—it was a vengeful crusade against Danzō for his underhanded betrayal.

"Master, should the Sarutobi clan not send reinforcements?" the Anbu asked hesitantly.

Hiruzen smiled thinly, "Hold off for now. Let Danzō walk into the storm he has stirred."

He muttered under his breath, "I almost feel sorry for him... but not quite."

In another corner of the village, a Hyuga Anbu approached their clan leader with an urgent report.

"Master clan leader, regarding the Uchiha coup—are we really to refrain from aiding the Hokage?"

Hyuga Hiashi's eyes narrowed sharply. "Shimura Danzō asked for this. He deserves to be dealt with by the Uchiha."

Since Danzō had ascended as Hokage, the Hyuga clan's influence and economic standing had steadily declined. Hiashi's family businesses had been squeezed, profits dropping as Danzō's policies favored other factions.

The clan elders nursed their grudges silently but bitterly. When Danzō became Hokage officially, their regret turned to resentment.

Now, with the Uchiha uprising, Hiashi hoped the rebellion would eliminate Danzō. Even if it meant an Uchiha assuming the position of Hokage afterward, it was preferable to allowing Danzō to continue his oppressive rule.

This unwillingness to support Danzō was not unique to Sarutobi or Hyuga alone. The majority of Konoha's major families chose silence, turning a blind eye to Danzō's desperate calls for aid.

Meanwhile, outside the Hokage building, the two forces clashed violently.

On one side, the Root operatives led by Aburame Takegen and Yamanaka Peter. On the other, the fiercely determined Uchiha clan, led by Fugaku himself.

Aburame Torine shouted, "Uchiha, do you truly think you can rebel?"

Uchiha Fugaku sneered in response, "Shimura Danzō killed Uchiha Shisui. He must pay with his life!"

An Uchiha warrior shouted, "Chief, stop talking! Push forward!"

Fugaku nodded grimly. "Kill anyone who stands in our way."

With a fierce cry, he charged forward, the rest of his clan close behind.

"Charge!" Yamanaka Peter roared, urging the Root members onward.

The Fight

Aburame Takegen swiftly removed his protective armor, revealing his body covered in black poisonous insects.

In a terrifying display, the insects swarmed toward the Uchiha warriors. One Uchiha soldier, fighting a Root agent, suddenly saw the Root's body begin to rapidly decay.

"Watch out! Those insects corrode flesh!" he yelled, retreating hastily.

But he was too late.

Behind him, a swarm of the black insects approached at lightning speed.

"Behind you!"

The soldier barely turned around before the swarm enveloped him. He closed his eyes, bracing for death.

Amaterasu Flames

Suddenly, a ball of black flame burst forth, engulfing the insects and turning them to ash.

Aburame Takegen's eyes widened in shock. "What kind of fire is this?"

Before he could react further, pain seared across his back. He twisted and saw the black flames licking his skin, burning fiercely.

"Ahhh!" he screamed, writhing on the ground as the fire continued to scorch him.

"Take care of the Root operative!" Yamanaka Peter shouted urgently.

But before Peter could advance, a sharp pain flared in his neck. He instinctively covered it, finding a thin line of blood already forming.

Realization dawned too late.

Peter's eyes widened in shock and unwillingness as he glanced once more toward the Hokage building—the place they were all fighting to protect.

Then he collapsed.

Aftermath

Uchiha Itachi stood silently amidst the chaos, his cold gaze fixed on Peter's fallen form.

Aburame Takegen was nothing but a pile of ash, burnt away by the mysterious flames.

"Is this... the power of Amaterasu?" Itachi muttered, voice barely audible.

The battlefield fell into tense silence.

The Uchiha had struck hard, and though their losses were not insignificant, the fire of rebellion burned brightly in their hearts.

Meanwhile, in the Hokage building, Shimura Danzō remained unaware that his political isolation was nearly complete—and that his grip on Konoha was slipping away as the Uchiha rebellion gained momentum.
