Kushina Uzumaki The Sage Of The Yuri Path

Chapter 41: The Blond Brat

The Kamizuki Pizza Shop, known throughout Konoha as The Crusty Kunai, was alive with the sounds of sizzling cheese, the scent of roasted garlic, and the occasional dramatic monologue from Hajime Kamizuki.

Seated at his usual corner table, coffee in one hand, beard in the other, Raven's father looked upon the world as though he were the Wisest Sage of the Land.

"Ah, pizza. A metaphor for life itself." Hajime exhaled, staring into the distance. "The crust, our foundation. The sauce, the passion that drives us. The cheese—"

A rolling pin smacked him upside the head.

"Hajime," Aiko Kamizuki growled, flour dusting her apron, "if you scare off another customer with your existential nonsense, I will personally throw you into the oven."

Hajime sipped his coffee unbothered. "Ah, but such is the cycle of wisdom. The student rarely recognizes the sage until—"

A second rolling pin strike.

Raven, sitting at the counter, smirked as she kneaded a round ball of dough. "Dad, if you keep talking like that, I'm going to start charging you for 'sage consultations.'"

Yuumi, curled lazily on a flour sack nearby, snickered. "Sage of Pizza? Fitting."

Raven grinned, carefully rolling out the dough. The scent of herbs and fresh yeast filled the air. This wasn't just any pizza. This was the Six Slice Pizza, the ultimate form of cheese goodness—a masterpiece in progress.

Aiko leaned over Raven's shoulder, inspecting her work. "Hmm. It's getting better, but until this pizza reaches enlightenment, I refuse to recognize it as the greatest."

"Patience, mother," Raven said sagely, dusting flour from her hands. "The path to true mastery is paved with melted cheese and perfectly crisp crusts."

Aiko blinked, before turning and smacking Hajime with her rolling pin again. "This is your fault."

Outside the shop, a loud, determined voice echoed down the street.

"I am the most beautiful girl in Konoha, and one day, I will be the strongest kunoichi too!"

The shop door burst open, and in stormed a four-year-old Ino Yamanaka, her hands on her hips, radiating the confidence of someone who had never known defeat.

Raven, still dusting flour from her hands, raised an eyebrow.

Ino turned her bright blue gaze toward her.

There was a moment of silence.

Then—

"Who are you?" Ino asked, tilting her head. "You look kinda pretty, but not as pretty as me!"

Raven blinked slowly, smirking. "Oh?"

Ino nodded firmly. "Yeah! I'll grow up and be dazzling! And strong! And smart! And—"

"Do you want pizza?" Raven asked flatly.

Ino froze. "What?"

Raven gestured to the counter, where a fresh, bubbling cheese pizza sat steaming. The scent of garlic butter, oregano, and perfectly aged mozzarella filled the air.

Yuumi lifted her head. "She's hooked. I can smell it."

Ino sniffed the air, her small nose twitching. Her eyes sparkled—but she crossed her arms. "I don't know… My mom says too much cheese isn't good for you."

Aiko burst from the kitchen. "Your mother is WRONG, CHILD."

Ino jumped.

Hajime, rubbing his beard, nodded sagely. "Indeed. Cheese is the great binder of life. It unites all toppings in harmony."

Aiko threw a rolling pin at him.

Raven smirked and slid a single slice onto a plate, pushing it toward Ino.

"One bite." Raven leaned forward. "That's all it takes. Then tell me if I'm prettier than you."

Ino huffed. "Fine!"

She grabbed the slice, took a bite—

And froze.

Her pupils dilated.

Her entire worldview shifted.

The cheese stretched as she pulled away, the buttery crust crisped just right, and the tomato sauce had the perfect tangy sweetness.

Yuumi whispered smugly. "She's gone."

Ino slowly set the slice down.

Her entire body trembled.

"This… this is…"

Raven smirked. "The truth?"

Ino snapped her gaze to Raven, eyes blazing.

"You… you must be some kind of sage!"

Hajime, from the corner, nodded dramatically. "The child understands."

Aiko, in the background, huffed but smirked.

"No," Ino declared, slamming her tiny hands on the counter. "You are the Sage of Six Slices!"

Raven stared.

Her heart leaped.

She had already adopted this name for herself—but to hear someone else say it, to recognize it…

A wide grin spread across her face.

"Yes," Raven said, reclining like an empress. "I am the Sage of Six Slices."

"If you're a sage," Ino said suddenly, "then that means you have to prove it after all. How can there be anyone better than me in this world!"

Raven raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"A contest!" Ino declared proudly. "A test of charm! We'll ask people who they think is better—me, or the Sage of Six Slices!"

Yuumi snorted. "She's walking into her own defeat."

Raven grinned. "Fine. Let's do this."

Ino asked three people. But somehow, as if the world was against her, every single person picked Raven.

Ino started getting flustered. Raven leaned in, whispering: "I don't even try."

Ino nearly combusted in frustration.

Ino huffed loudly. "Fine! You win today! But I'm gonna train super hard, and one day, I'll be even better than you!"

Raven leaned back smugly. "I look forward to it."

Yuumi snickered. "Another one for your collection?"

Raven grinned. "Maybe."

Ino pointed dramatically. "Sage of Six Slices, I will surpass you!"

Raven nodded sagely. "But first… finish your pizza."

Ino froze. Then, with zero hesitation, she shoved the rest of the slice into her mouth. As her face turned beet red with embarrassment.

Yuumi howled with laughter.
