Kushina Uzumaki The Sage Of The Yuri Path

Chapter 5: The Clash Of Carbs

Life above The Crusty Kunai was bustling as usual, but for Raven Kamizuki—formerly known as Kushina Uzumaki—it was a quiet balancing act of incognito brilliance. At just three weeks old, she had mastered more than most ninja would in their first year, all while maintaining the guise of a helpless infant. Her parents remained blissfully unaware of her growing abilities, her secret companion Yuumi, or the small army of reanimated animals she had stationed throughout Konoha.

But the Kamizuki household was about to get louder. Today marked the latest installment of The Clash of Carbs, an over-the-top culinary battle between her mother's pizza empire and Ichiraku Ramen. The rivalry had become something of a local legend, drawing crowds of hungry villagers to witness the latest showdown between dough and noodles.

Downstairs, Aiko Kamizuki prepared her arsenal of pizza dough, tomato sauce, and an array of fresh toppings. Her rolling pin was tucked into her apron like a kunai ready for battle.

"Today is the day, Raven," she declared dramatically, lifting her daughter from the crib. "We'll crush that noodle peddler once and for all!"

Raven blinked up at her, feigning innocence, but her thoughts were sharp. "It's just pizza and ramen, Mom. I don't think Konoha's future hinges on this."

Her father, Hajime Kamizuki, sat in the corner with his usual cup of coffee, twirling his sage-like beard. "Ah, the eternal battle between dough and broth," he mused. "A metaphor for the duality of existence. One warm and fluid, the other firm and structured. Together, they form the yin and yang of culinary harmony."

Aiko groaned, shooting her husband a glare. "Hajime, if you start talking about metaphors in the middle of The Clash of Carbs, I'll roll you into the dough myself."

Hajime grinned, completely unfazed. "And what a glorious pizza I'd be."

The Kamizuki Pizza shop had been transformed into a battleground. Villagers crowded around makeshift tables, eagerly awaiting the duel between Konoha's two most passionate culinary warriors. Teuchi, the owner of Ichiraku Ramen, stood behind a steaming pot of broth, his sleeves rolled up and a confident smirk on his face.

"Well, well," Teuchi called out as Aiko stepped forward, her rolling pin slung over her shoulder like a sword. "Back again to challenge the reigning champ, Aiko? I admire your persistence, but you know ramen warms the soul in a way pizza never can."

Aiko's eyes blazed with determination. "Ramen might be warm, Teuchi, but pizza is fire itself. Let's see what the people really crave."

The crowd cheered as the two began their culinary duel. Aiko spun dough into perfect circles, tossing them into the air before layering them with vibrant sauces and toppings. Teuchi, meanwhile, worked with precision, ladling steaming broth into bowls and adding ramen noodles that shimmered like gold.

Hajime, sitting in his usual corner with a fresh cup of coffee, offered cryptic commentary to no one in particular. "Ah, the flame of ambition versus the simmering patience of tradition. Truly, this is a clash for the ages."

"Get me another rolling pin," Aiko muttered under her breath.

As the final dishes were served, the crowd eagerly sampled both offerings. The verdict was close, as it always was, with no clear winner emerging. Aiko shook her head in frustration. "Another tie? The eternal rivalry continues."

Teuchi grinned. "Looks like we'll have to settle this next time, Aiko. Maybe the Fourth Hokage will finally decide when he comes to the next Clash of Carbs."

The mention of Minato caught Raven's attention, though she kept her expression blank. "Minato at a food competition? I hope Mom doesn't throw dough at him if she loses."

Later that evening, as her parents cleaned up the shop and debated strategy for the next competition, Raven slipped away to continue her training. She sat cross-legged on her crib mattress, her Rinnegan faintly glowing in the dark as she focused on her newest skill: the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Yuumi appeared in the shadows, her silver fur shimmering as she watched Kushina work. "Not bad," Yuumi said, nodding as a single shadowy figure formed beside Raven. "But one clone won't be enough in the future. You'll need dozens."

Raven smirked. "This body is small, but with Nature Chakra, I'll catch up soon enough."

The clone gave a mock salute before moving to the corner of the room, where a growing collection of puppets sat: birds, rabbits, squirrels, all reanimated with life energy from Kushina's Rinnegan. They were her eyes and ears across Konoha, spying on the village and gathering intelligence.

One of the birds fluttered forward, its movements fluid yet unnatural. Through its connection, Kushina saw snippets of the village: the Uchiha compound, bustling markets, and distant glimpses of shinobi training grounds.

Yuumi tilted her head. "What have you learned so far?"

"The Uchiha are in trouble," Raven replied, her tone serious. "I've seen Mikoto. She looks… sad. Tired. Fugaku isn't treating her well."

Yuumi nodded solemnly. "And the rest of the clan?"

"There's tension," Raven said. "Public sentiment is shifting. People are talking about the Uchiha as if they're dangerous, untrustworthy. Someone's stirring the pot, but I don't know who yet."

Yuumi's tails flicked. "Keep watching. The answer will reveal itself in time."

As the moon rose over Konoha, Raven sat by the window, gazing at the village below. Her army of puppets moved in the shadows, their silent vigilance expanding her awareness far beyond her physical reach. Her parents' voices drifted up from below, filled with warmth and humor as they closed the shop for the night.

"Not bad for three weeks," she thought, her violet eyes glowing faintly. "I may not know who's pulling the strings yet, but when I do, they'll regret crossing me."

Yuumi rested beside her, her presence a comforting reminder of the power and purpose they shared. "One step at a time, Kushina. You'll get there."

Raven smiled faintly, her resolve unwavering. "I always do."
