Kushina Uzumaki The Sage Of The Yuri Path

Chapter 9: Danzo’s Plot Begins

In the dimly lit halls of Root's underground base, Danzo Shimura sat in silence, his weathered face cast in shadow. Before him stood a single Root operative, masked and still as stone, waiting for his instructions. Danzo's cane rested against his chair, and his lone visible eye glinted with cold calculation.

"The Uchiha are growing restless," Danzo said, his voice low but laced with authority. "The tensions between the clan and the village continue to build. We must ensure they do not act… prematurely."

The operative nodded silently, awaiting further orders.

Danzo's mind turned toward a name he'd heard often in recent reports: Shisui Uchiha. A young prodigy with loyalty to the Third Hokage and a heart steeped in the idealistic "Will of Fire." To Danzo, Shisui was both a potential asset and a risk.

"That boy," Danzo murmured, steepling his fingers, "Shisui. His allegiance to the Hokage makes him… malleable. If approached carefully, he could provide us with the information we need to contain the Uchiha."

The operative shifted slightly, a silent question in their posture.

Danzo's lips curved into a faint, grim smile. "Of course, he must not suspect manipulation. His loyalty must remain intact. Frame it as a duty to the village. To the Third Hokage."

As Danzo spoke, his thoughts drifted to the Hokage himself. While Sarutobi never spoke directly of supporting Danzo's methods, his silence was its own kind of approval. A necessary evil, Danzo thought to himself. The Third knew that action must be taken to protect Konoha, even if he preferred to turn a blind eye to the means.

The fourth Hokage Minato has thwarted all of Danzos plans so far to deal with the Uchiha Clan. Making Danzo smile knowing that in a few months' time, the fourth would no longer be an obstacle to Danzo becoming hokage. After all, he does not need to do anything himself. Danzo was sure that Kushina's birth would provide sufficient opportunity for others to act. All danzo has to do is delay any reinforcements that intend to help Minato.

Danzo tapped his fingers against the table. "Plant the seeds. Build the trust. And ensure that boy sees his clan's defiance as a threat to Konoha. When the time comes, he will report to us willingly."

The operative bowed, their silent acknowledgment of the orders given. Danzo's gaze darkened as he watched them leave. "The Uchiha's fate is sealed," he thought. "They've always been a threat to Konoha's peace. It is only a matter of time."

Back in Konoha, in the quiet of the Kamizuki household, Raven Kamizuki, the reincarnation of Kushina Uzumaki, was far from idle. At just two months old, she had achieved levels of chakra control and strength that even seasoned jonin would envy.

"Three Kakashi units," Raven muttered to herself as she stood in the small training clearing behind the Crusty Kunai, staring down at a pile of boulders Yuumi had helped her gather. "Not bad for an Uzumaki."

Her Shadow Clones stood beside her, each mirroring her fiery determination. With their combined strength, they lifted a 500-pound boulder into the air, holding it steady for several moments before carefully lowering it back down.

"Still," Raven added, crossing her arms, "Grandma Mito could handle hundreds of clones and twice the weight without breaking a sweat. I've got a long way to go."

Yuumi, perched lazily on the windowsill, chuckled. "Comparing yourself to Mito Uzumaki at two months old? Ambitious, aren't we?"

Raven grinned. "What can I say? Us Uzumaki don't settle for second best."

Yuumi's tails swayed as she observed the clones dispersing, their chakra returning to Raven. "You're getting stronger faster than I expected. Your Nature Chakra reserves are expanding exponentially. If this keeps up, you'll surpass most shinobi before you even set foot in the Academy."

"Good," Raven said, her tone firm. "I'm going to need it. Danzo's already making moves, and the Uchiha are in trouble. I can feel it."

Yuumi nodded, her playful demeanor softening. "Just remember, Kushina—strength isn't just about power. It's about knowing when to use it."

Downstairs, the Kamizuki household was alive with the familiar sounds of the Crusty Kunai in action. The smell of fresh dough and bubbling cheese wafted through the air as Aiko Kamizuki prepared for the lunch rush. Hajime Kamizuki, as always, was seated at his favorite corner table, sipping coffee and twirling his beard.

Raven, now back in her crib and pretending to sleep, listened as her parents bantered below.

"Hajime," Aiko said, rolling dough with practiced precision, "I think I've perfected the Hidden Leaf Special. This one's going to put Ichiraku Ramen out of business."

Hajime chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "Ah, the eternal battle of carbs. A fight for the ages. But have you considered, my dear, that pizza and ramen are merely two halves of a greater whole?"

Aiko paused, narrowing her eyes. "Hajime, if you start talking about culinary harmony again, I'm going to make you fold every napkin in this shop."

"Ah, but napkins are a metaphor for—"

The rolling pin in Aiko's hand thudded lightly against the table, cutting him off.

Raven smiled faintly, amused by their antics. Then Hajime's voice softened, his tone taking on a rare seriousness. "You know, Aiko, we've been given something precious with Raven. A chance to build a life we couldn't before."

Aiko's hands stilled, her expression unreadable. "I know. She's… special."

Hajime smiled warmly, his eyes glinting with quiet wisdom. "Special doesn't even begin to cover it."

Later that night, Raven sat cross-legged in her room, her Rinnegan glowing faintly as she focused inward. Her chakra reserves, now vast and vibrant, pulsed steadily as her Shadow Clones practiced techniques she hadn't touched in years.

"You're making progress," Yuumi said softly, appearing beside her. "But don't push yourself too hard. Even Uzumaki have limits."

Raven smirked. "Limits are just challenges waiting to be broken."

Yuumi's tails flicked, her blue eyes gleaming. "Just remember why you're doing this. The storm is coming, Kushina. You need to be ready."

Raven smiled as she looked at her Nine-Tailed fox and said to Yuumi.

"Yuumi, there is no need to worry when the time comes. The ones who planned my death won't know where to hide. But the future is vast and endless with the Rinnegan life and death, and even time means little to me as long as my body can support the strain, there are no limits to what I can achieve."
