Lego Ninjago: I'm Morro little brother

Chapter 6: Chapter Five: The Path of Resolve

The midday sun blazed over Ember wood Village as Rudra, Cinder, and Kai took their first steps as a team. Having just convinced Kai to embrace his destiny as the Elemental Master of Fire, they were preparing to set off on their quest to find the other Elemental Masters. But as they packed supplies, a piercing scream shattered the tranquillity of the village.

"It's Nya!" Kai shouted, his face contorting in panic. Without another word, he sprinted towards the source of the sound, Rudra and Cinder hot on his heels.

When they arrived, a horrifying sight met their eyes. A group of masked bandits, crude weapons in hand, was dragging a young girl towards a waiting wagon. Kai's sister, Nya, struggled fiercely, her cries echoing through the village.

"You cowards!" Kai roared, flames flickering around his hands. He charged towards the bandits, but Rudra held him back.

"Wait!" Rudra said firmly. "You're not in control of your powers yet. You'll hurt her if you rush in blind."

Kai growled in frustration, but he knew Rudra was right. "Then what do we do?"

Rudra's gaze sharpened. "We split up. Cinder, go with Kai and track the wagon. I'll find the other Elemental Masters and meet you later."

Cinder nodded, turning to Kai. "Let's go. We'll get her back, I promise."

Kai hesitated, looking back at Rudra. "Don't take too long."

"I won't," Rudra said, gripping the Zephyr Fans. "Now go."

As Cinder and Kai disappeared into the forest, Rudra turned towards the path leading to the Storm Peaks. He had no time to waste. But as he travelled, the situation grew more dire. News of escaped criminals from nearby prisons reached him at every village he passed. The Serpentine and the Skulkin had unleashed chaos, freeing bandits and prisoners to sow destruction across the land.

It wasn't long before Rudra encountered trouble. A gang of outlaws had taken over a narrow mountain pass, blocking his path. They were armed with stolen weapons, their leader—a burly man with a jagged scar across his face—grinning menacingly.

"Where do you think you're going, boy?" the leader sneered. "Hand over those fancy fans, and we might let you live."

Rudra's expression remained calm, but the wind around him began to stir. "You've made a mistake challenging me."

The outlaws charged, weapons raised. Rudra sprang into action, his training with Master Wu and his breathing techniques guiding his every move. He spun into Spinjitzu, creating a tornado that disarmed the first wave of attackers. Using Total Concentration Breathing, he heightened his reflexes, dodging and countering with precision.

One bandit lunged at him from behind, but Rudra instinctively transformed one of the Zephyr Fans into a dagger, the blade shimmering with a green hue. He deflected the strike and countered with a swift slash, the wind carrying his attack further than expected. The bandit was sent tumbling into a rock, unconscious.

The fight grew more intense as the bandits surrounded him. Rudra realised the Zephyr Fans' new dagger form allowed for faster, more agile combat. He used it to his advantage, combining it with his Spinjitzu to unleash a flurry of wind-infused strikes.

By the time the battle ended, the outlaws were either unconscious or fleeing. Rudra stood amidst the wreckage, his breath heavy but controlled. He stared at the dagger in his hand, realising the weapon's potential. "This is new," he murmured. "Looks like the fans have more to them than I thought."

As he continued his journey, memories from his second life as Sanemi Shinazugawa began to surface. The instincts, techniques, and experiences of the Wind Hashira became clearer with each step. It was as if the Zephyr Fans had unlocked a part of his soul he didn't know was still there.

The sun was setting when he reached the edge of a desolate plain. Smoke rose in the distance, and Rudra's heart sank as he saw the destruction left behind by the escaped criminals. A small village lay in ruins, its inhabitants scattered or captured.

Rudra clenched his fists. "I can't let this continue."

He approached cautiously, using his wind techniques to mask his presence. As he scouted the area, he saw a group of villagers tied up near a fire. Among them was a boy no older than 12, his pale blue eyes filled with defiance despite his fear. This boy would later be revealed as the Elemental Master of Ice.

Rudra waited for the right moment, then struck. He used Spinjitzu to create a blinding whirlwind, disorienting the bandits. Moving swiftly, he cut the villagers free and directed them to safety. The young boy hesitated, staring at Rudra with a mix of awe and suspicion.

"Who are you?" the boy asked.

"A friend," Rudra said. "What's your name?"

"Zane," the boy replied. "Thank you."

Before Rudra could respond, more bandits arrived, their numbers overwhelming. Zane surprised him by stepping forward, ice crystals forming in his hands. Together, they fought off the attackers, Zane's powers awakening fully for the first time.

As the battle ended, Zane looked at Rudra, determination in his eyes. "If you're fighting to stop this chaos, I want to help."

Rudra nodded. "Welcome to the team."

With Zane by his side, Rudra continued his quest, determined to find the other Elemental Masters and reunite with Cinder and Kai. The path ahead was dangerous, but he knew they were one step closer to restoring balance to Ninjago.
